Location, location, location. What better way to start and end your day perched on top of the Grand Canyon. Rooms were standard and probably worth overpaying if you re aiming for a super long hike starting early am or are just visiting for a night. Nothing wrong with rooms - they re fairly basic but have hot water, internet, etc.

Very pleasant hotel - one of many hotel options within the Grand Canyon Village. It is a big plus to stay at the canyon vs. Down the road out of the park. This is an older hotel but has had a makeover and although vintage the refresh was undertaken tastefully. Beds are comfortable and amenities are basic but good. Check in is a bit confusing as you must do so at the Bright Angel lodge next door.

You ll be paying for the location and not much else. We arrived after it got dark and it was near impossible to navigate around the limited parking lot which is a maze of one way streets. Rooms are small, there is next to no amenities included and don t count on being able to connect to the wifi. That being said you really can t get closer to the canyon, so its very convenient for catching the sunrise/sunset views

Rating 4 because the free Internet did not work and the Xanterra support never called back. The accomodations are 5 star and nice to be able to walk a few feet out of your room to be standing on the Rim.
