This is my local, always go for the classic burger. Was disappointed this time, it seemed bland, tasteless and fell apart, couldn't finish it. Generally the menu is on point, but unfortunately not now. Brig back the old way you use to do it.

Really speechless. The guy at the gate told me my son not allowed to bring the ice cream into the alfresco on the Cambridge street festival. I told him there was a girl having her ice cream in it. The guy said there must be someone handing her from the outside. And he didn t do anything to stop the girl, but just pretended he knew nothing about that and kept standing at the gate! So is it different rule for different people? So terrible! I didn t know how to explain to my son about the unfair.

My family went to the Wembley last Thursday for a function prior to my son's wedding. Nathan kept a section on the mezzanine level especially set aside for us so we could stand and chat or sit down. We had excellent service and great food (as always). Love the fish special!! My interstate family were very impressed. Well done Ally, Dan, Nathan and of course Kane! We will be back - tomorrow!!!

Good bar meals with a set of daily specials and pizzas. Good variety of drinks. Plenty of tables/benches and seating. Fast bar service, rarely a wait. Always a good amount of patrons (never "empty" when I've attended). Live music. All your sports-ball desires catered for with screens everywhere and a big screen in the beer garden. I live miles away but it's my local.

If I could, I would give this place a 0/5 rating.
I received the worst service ever from the man behind the bar serving me. With greeting nor even the slightest smile, he had a what do you want? demeanour. This was emphasised when he showed the same rudeness when speaking to a fellow customer and when slamming down the order number after I had placed my order. The worse thing I experienced was when I received my meal where, firstly, he openly coughed in the direction of my food. Secondly, he tossed my meal onto the table in a position where I had to reach out to get it instead of having it placed right in front of me. He quickly turned his back and left without saying anything at all, not even a slight smile or an enjoy your meal comment. Finally, the steak wasn t cooked to what I had order. The only silver lining was leaving.

Wembley is my local, nice pub and great history. The letdown is the continual poor service and lack of customer oriented culture. Most local families I know don't go there anymore and prefer the Herdsman or other places (which says something because the Herdy isn't tops either). The Wembley continually disappoints with food offerings, pricing and poor service. They can't cope with busy days, they often close the kitchen, not great when you've rocked up with family or friends. Beer prices are pricier than other hotels, they did try to charge $12 for 485ml handles after their recent renovation until patronage dropped and then they brought back pints for about $11-12. The Wembley has potential to be a western suburbs hotspot but it's potential won't be realised under current management.

Had not been here for a few years, and was very dismayed to see the make over renos had pretty much wrecked the old pub, the interior has lost its atmosphere and feels cold and empty.

Sadly the once spacious beer garden is now cluttered and closed in, so miss the ambience of the old pub.

Could not find a single beer that was drinkable - odd ball craft beers at high prices - no thanks.

The service tonight was impeccable and timely. We had the calamari and the oink and baa baa stone cooked meat lover like juicey pizza. I had a middy of the new cider on tap which was light and not sickly sweet at all.
