The food was so-so for the price but, the service was great. We've eaten there before and remembered it being better. They seemed short staffed and maybe over cooked the food and let it sit? Not sure. But we were definitely a little disappointed.

Great food!! Can't go wrong with anything you order. Wines were great, and staff very attentive while not being obtrusive to conversation

Divine food! I had their "mixed grill Rapscallion" on a lobster bisque sauce and it was superb. Ambiance was warm, cozy and allowed for private conversations. Service was good as well.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this place. The crab and shrimp risotto, escargot, ribeye and creme brulee were all absolutely fantastic. I will 100% be back to try more of the menu.

Great food great service as expected a little pricey

Parents live out of town and every time we're here, this is where we go. They love it and we do too. Great seafood... Especially the swordfish!

Went on Monday night at 930 pm they were closed 9 when there buisness closed at 10 pm on Google maps. We try coming the next day there were a 2 hour waiting list when there hardly anyone there will not come back.

Been coming here for my birthday for the last 7 years. Sadly, this year fell short. The food didn't taste as fresh as it has in the past. Honestly, ever since they did their update to the restaurant, the quality has gone down. We drive 4 hours round trip to eat here. Thinking this may be the last year

Took the wife there for our anniversary dinner. Food was outstanding and service was excellent.

This is a favorite of mine because the food is great and the people are friendly and very helpful.

Had not been back to the Rap, in 2 years had such a bad experience back then....went with another couple and they have redeemed themselves it was excellent from beginning to end and the service was excellent.

Always great, bummed they don't serve prime rib anymore.

Food and service was great. We did go on a busy Friday evening with our 8 month old baby and everyone was great. We did make reservations a couple of days ahead since I heard that it was recommended to.

The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was cozy, and the Lobster Thermidor was amazing! If you are on the fence about trying this place and you love lobster then I suggest you pick a date right now and tell your significant other/friend/family member that it s happening.

Great drinks! Lousy Food! Last time for me. I have loved you for years but your food has gone down hill. I m talking happy hour menu, Which is a great selection but it s all bad. By, by!

It's a fancy place. I ordered Seafood Cappioni and it was alright, not the best I have had. Cocktails were alright too.

Its alright. But over price and overrated. Service is ok. But they picky bout certain races of people.

Stunningly beautiful restaurant. So old school but the renovations recently brightened the place up. Scallops are always seared to perfection.

The atmosphere is very elegant, the food is amazing and our server Andee was great!

Rapscallion has been a Reno staple for as long as I can remember. The atmosphere is fantastic, I prefer to sit in the bar with the dark wood and good old boys feel to it. The food is still good although not great like it used to be. I recently went for brunch and would have been happier at numerous other establishments in town (Pegs or Squeeze to name a couple).
Dinner is where it's at, they fly in their Seafood so it's always fresh. The carmel custard dessert has withstood the test of time. If anything Raps is still good for an Irish Coffee and dessert.
I have noticed a difference since the Head Chef left, I feared that would happen as Ming's skills in the kitchen were exceptional. Overall Raps is a good place to eat but there are so many great places in this town that I hate to waste money on merely "good".

I had the ahi tuna club and it was delicious, along with the escargot and Bourbon pecan pie... delicious. The wait staff was friendly and the restaurant has a very cozy almost european feel. Great atmosphere and food

Our server Tui was amazing! The food is delicious as well.

Really nice atmosphere, clean and friendly but the food we ordered was not good at all. I went because of all the good reviews and I really question so many great reviews. We ordered steamed clams- way over cooked and still full of sand due to improper prep, shame on the cook. Fish and chips- fish coating too thick and under cooked mushy as well as a tiny piece of fish and fries were way over cooked and hard. Diablos are bacon wrapped scallops- so over cooked they were inedible charred bacon and hard rubber inside. Oh there's more but..... I just won't go back. There was alot of people there, so I think it's definitely a trendy fun place, just not providing quality plates and too high priced for me.
I am an honest review that is not paid nor given anything to share my sincere opinion :-)

Delicious! friendly service and beautiful atmosphere

Never had any seafood that was not exquisite. Absolutely amazing, best in northern nevada for sure. And are server Tui was very cool and great server made sure we were good, happy, and comforted. Always a delight to come back. Dishes are little on the expensive side but well worth it. Must have in reno!

Going to the Rapscallion when we are in Reno is a must. This place is awesome. They have a great with plenty of seating. The service has always been good. Practically everything on the menu it great. My wife loves their escargot! Their steaks are very good, great quality of beef. This place never disappoints when we come.

Made an online reservation for dinner for two at 8 on a saturday night. Called saturday afternoon to ask if we could add one person and/or change our reservation. my voice mail was returned by a male at 4;30 who advised we couldn't add a person or change the time. I then called back and cancelled my reservation for two at eight. After I hung up the phone, my daughter called the same reservation phone number and was told by a female there wouldn't be a problem with a 3 person dinner reservation at eight pm. Anyway, our dinner plans were ruined and we missed dinner thart evening. It appears that the employees are not able to get together in even seating people so I figured dinner would have been a failure too. After reading other reviews it does seem there is a management problem. I will avoid this place for now.

Great place for a leisurely dinner, that was over the top great food.

Food not served with spaced timing, from appetizers to salad/ soup to entrees. Cold baked potatoes and cold coffee. Have experienced much better service.

Raoscallion is a wonderful piece to eat. The seafood is delicious. We held our wedding reception there. Very nice people, food is delicious! Highly recommend.

Go for the filet mignon if seafood is not your taste. Otherwise, the sea bass is worth the trip. Appetizers are a meal by themself. Bacon wrapped scallops, grilled artichoke hearts, chicken quesadillas. Rumor has it that prime rib is returning to the menu.

Meh... over priced..salad served on warm plate instead of chilled. Cioppino was blah, small amount of seafood. Service was good. They need a new chef.wont be back.

It's good but not THAT good. Great flavor profiles in their specialties but not impressed with the freshness of the fish. Not that it tastes bad but not like truly flown in fresh. I would say pricey for the quality but as for the preparation...very good
