We've been to the Inn many times but its been about 8 yrs since our last visit. We went to dinner there on New Year's Eve and in some respects it was disappointing. Most of the food was excellent as usual. The Plateau de Fruits de Mer was very disappointing. I dont come to a restaurant like this to be served raw seafood- doesnt take a talented chef to prepared raw oysters, clams etc. The shrimp were small and unremarkable- they almost tasted frozen, appears they sat on ice way too long. Crab claws were stringy. Just a big let down.

Steak at the end was good but I also dont come here for a steak. More than enough steak houses in the DC area and frankly much closer. And since the menu was set, no choice of ordering something else.

There were some missteps on service as well. No menus at our table, we had to ask for them and that took awhile as well. Wife asked for a straw for her mixed drinks and was brought a straw you would expect for a fountain drink from 7-Eleven.

For $1100 for a couple (just a half bottle of wine and a few drinks), I'm expecting over the top food and service. We didnt get that and couldnt help feeling gouged on the price.

We did appreciate the valet service that wasnt provided last time we were there. Thats a big improvement.

Hands down one of the best meals of my life. Everything was amazing! Every course of the dinner was fantastic. I was skeptical of the price when my wife and I booked it, but after having that meal I would highly recommend trying it.

We went to the Inn at Little Washington for my wife's work celebration. It was a night we will never forget, absolutely amazing from start to finish! Extremely expensive but worth every penny!

Lookng forward to our fourth visit in November 2018. The Inn recently earned its third Michelin Star - most well deserved! Dinner at the Inn is a unique and memorable experience. The guest rooms are extraordinary. No detail is overlooked.

By far the most enjoyable "foodie" experience I've had. The best way I can think to describe it to someone is that it re-defines your definition of how things taste. We make a point to go every year, and stay overnight almost every time. You absolutely go for the food, but the rooms (and houses) are all cozy and relaxing. Don't miss tea time! What a treat! And Dinner? Now they have menus of tasting menus! It isn't cheap, but it is worth treating yourself and it is definitely worth every penny to experience it!

A wonderful dinner! All around outstanding food and presentation. I highly recommend doing the wine pairing because it was really eye opening. In particular, I enjoyed the crozes hermitage with the venison and the riesling with the savory cheesecake.

A word of warning to my fellow tree nut allergy sufferers: I told the restaurant about my allergy when making the reservation, when confirming the reservation, and when we arrived. They use a special water glass to mark that you have an allergy (I think, I noticed they brought us ones that were different). Nonetheless, three times we were served tree nuts and it was caught by various members of the waitstaff or myself prior to me eating. Unfortunately though, we were also served tree nuts a fourth time because I ended up getting sick.

Still a 5 star experience and I would consider returning (with two epipens and a bunch of Benadryl in hand)!

It's amazing how one man's vision and passion can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

An INCREDIBLE destination. Beside the food, (which is insane) everything is so pretty with the attention to detail, it truly is amazing. The staff is so nice and engaging we've never had a bad stay. Top Notch.

The food was okay. Not great and definitely not what I was expecting from a restaurant with such status. I consider myself a foodie and have had much better cuisine at locations charging half the price.
I will say that the facilities, services, and staff went above and beyond. The overall atmosphere was cozy, quiet and they set the mood right. Taking the setting as well as the food and wine into consideration, our experience was just okay.
Overall, it's unfortunate, but this place is over-rated. They are charging way too much in my opinion.
