Had a fantastic night! Security and bar staff all really friendly. Great atmosphere.

Personally find the staff, mostly the bouncers to be border line out of order. They don't deal with those who are out of control and give you a lot of cheek just because they know they can get away with it.Drinks aren't cheap, nor is the entry cost. A lot of people who go seem to think because they are out they can be out of control and be abusive. Music is decent, a bit repetitive but decent. Love the light shows though, they are out standing. My advice would be try it and judge it yourself but don't expect to much space as you are packed in at times.

Played here recently and loved it. Staff are very friendly and the place is run very well from a band's point of view. Stayed in for the club afterwards and had a great, fairly cheap night out.

This place is complete trash. The bouncer is a racist and will put there hands on people with 0 regards. Save your money go some where with out trash service and racist bouncers.

Busy place, good atmosphere. Top floor(rock floor) is the best :P

Yeah i love this place! Go most weekends! Nice staff, pretty cheap - good vibes! I like how someone responds to comments on here too, so people can voice there opinions and the club tries to sort their issues out! Nice touch

Great place to have fun and enjoyment in Glasgow town.

Great place if you love clubs, but VERY crowded on weekends. If that doesn't bother you, then the music is great and there's a selection of genres on the three floors to choose from! Drink prices are reasonable; like what you'd expect in other pubs/clubs.

I was not let in by bodyguards who were rude af - you must have a look and skills to do this job as badge can have anyone! First reason was that I was rude to one of them - how, if the only thing I did was show my wristband! So when this excuse failed he said I am to drunk... I was not sober but still walking straigh and cappable to remember this situation. The venue was organised for students and I paid money to get in while I have not had chance to even walk in.... btw loads of under 18 !

myself chelsea dann (20) and my boyfriend - Deyaz willis browne (19) were the victims of an unprovoked attacked by a bouncer at The Garage Nightclub in Glasgow around 11:00-12:00pm we arrived at the Nightclub around 10:20pm

we walked outside to the smoking area located on the bottom floor, we put our drinks on the side as you re not allowed to take them outside.
and Deyaz proceeded to ask the bouncer the following can you watch our drinks please mate
he had asked this due to me being spiked and drugged before by a random person.
the bouncer said no im not going to look after your drinks

i said but that s your job right? you re here to make sure drinks don t go outside. you re by the door so can you watch the drinks please

the bouncer said ok right get out

The bouncer walked away and we couldn t see him anymore, so Myself and Deyaz proceeded to grab our drinks from inside and starting fast paced walking so we could go upstairs and collect our jackets from the coat room.

all of a sudden i turned around and the Bouncer was grabbing my boyfriend by the throat from behind so he is unable to do anything.
he was no threat . we were walking away to leave and get our things.
the choke hold that Deyaz was placed in was to harm and not to restrict .
it was no typical headlock. the bouncer has his arm on his neck and used his other hand to push on Deyaz s head. this is that you do when you re trying to break something or kill someone.
Deyaz was knocked out on a chair still getting choked.
i threw my drink at the bouncer and didn t make any physical contact with my own hands.
this was to try and distract the bouncer to make him let go of my boyfriend.
The bouncer turned around and smacked me on the right side of my face. and then went back to Deyaz not moving and continued attacking him.
turned around and came towards me again for no reason, employees stopped him from hitting me so he went back to Deyaz and tried to attack him again.

Other employees came and grabbed the Bouncer off Deyaz.

Deyaz was upset and was expressing how we wanted to leave .
they were being inconsiderate towards us afterwards. WE got attacked .

How was I kicked out for no reason? I literally just stood in a line waiting for a drink and then get you get touched by security Guard says 'I've had enough' absolutely shocking behaviour, I'm tipsy but there's no reason for me to pick me out of the crowd and kick me out... the security in this place is ridiculous and disgusting should be fired for its behaviour....

Decent club, big with good drinks offers, especially in the week. Bit student-uniony but if that's what you're going for it doesn't get much better

the beer tastes watered down and has the worst crowd, worst nightclub in town, as a gig venue it's not too bad

First time out in Glasgow for a friend and I. We walked up, two bouncers said "go on in ladies", we started walking in as a third one said "stay and talk to us." We said "maybe on the way out, we're keen for a drink", he followed us and said "no you have to stay and talk to us" we laughed awkwardly but he was insistent so I asked why, he wouldn't say, after feeling uncomfortable we left and we certainly won't be back.

Came up to Glasgow from Bristol to see goldlink and whilst being searched by bouncers I was on the phone to my friend, suggesting coming up to Glasgow because it has been good fun so far - whilst on the phone the bouncers believed I was intoxicated and later believed they thought I was over the limit to enter? I was slightly tipsy but definitely not disruptive enough to be taken away and not allowed to enter the concert, I argued the case and whilst in conversation with the bouncers they still continued to disallow entrance. I'm extremely upset and will not be attended the Garage as a venue again even if re visiting Glasgow

Fantastic place drinks are good price plus trade deals so cheaper drink. Fabulous place

Been going here for 2 years now. Absolutely love it! As far as glasgow nightclubs go, the nightlife is brilliant here, such a fun environment. Drinks prices are cheaper than most places, but also they don't skimp on the quality, giving you smirnoff as standard.
10/10, would dance in again.

So I've come through to Glasgow for my 18th and this bouncer rejected me and my 3 mates because we were 'too drunk' if I can give any advice, only go in groups of Max 2 and try avoid him :( absolutely livid

great to see a band up close and personal. easy to walk there from surrounding hotels, affordable, just several small flights of stairs and super hot inside. no ventilation, bar is cash only

Great gig. Slightly annoying that drinks were different prices each time. Sleeper were brilliant.

Amazing night out! I recently moved up here from Manchester and love the nightlife here! Garage has everything, the drinks are cheap and there are loads of rooms open which means you can listen to the music you like. Some of the barstaff are funny too, always a good laugh.

After 14 years ICP are back, with MushroonHead. the best night never. i have never been to the Garage before and the place was good, drinks price are good, the staff where friendly. They even gave out drinks of water near the end. the place was packed. the photos do not do them justice, so sorry for the poor quality

Has a no single person policy. As a solo traveler trying to make friends this was absurd.

Worst club in glasgow by far door staff give daft reasons for not letting you in and if you ever do get in then its a rubbish night one night they gave out the drinks in they daft wee plastic water cups just dont waste your money with this place.

Door bouncer , most of them are racist. It's a nice club anyway.

Last night I lost my ticket for my bag in the cloakroom and my phone ran out of battery. I couldn t find my friends and they wanted to leave around 1 o clock. The girls working in the cloakroom were REFUSING to give me my bag until shutting time at 3 because I lost my ticket. I said I can tell you every single content in the bag I NEED my money to get home and my phone charger to contact someone. I didn t know what I was going to do and I got upset and stressed about it arguing with them for a good 15 mins. The girls didn t care. I asked for a manager and he gave me my bag straight away with no questions asked. It was unbelievable. What did they expect me to do? They have NO right to not give me my own stuff!! How many people loose their cloakroom tickets on a night out? A lot! TERRIBLE staff! All they kept saying was it s our new rules and there s nothing we can do. They knew fine well which bag was mine as I gave it to them only an hour beforehand! I won t be back here. The bouncers are also very rude!

Great venue/ club , different music on different floors/areas. For heavier music try the cathouse

For the first time in my life, turned down at the door by the bouncer for being too drunk. Myself and my friend are dressed smartly, our first time to Glasgow for both of us, and the bouncer refused to explain why he wouldn't let us in despite being sober. Infuriating experience. Won't be returning to Garage in the future.

Bouncers were extremely pathetic....must have looked too old as they made up an excuse that I looked like I had too much to drink...the morons....It was one of my first destinations....didnt get tbe chance to get drunk before i got there.....nevermind.....hopefully they will have the sense to hire someone whos not a complete d***head next time

Great club. A piece of Glasgow royalty in the clubbing world. It s a must go for anyone visiting glasgow. Great laugh.

Always a fantastic night out here. Has a student vibe without the attitude that goes with it. Great and friendly staff. There are various rooms to cater for different genres of music. Well worth visiting for a night out.

I thought I would go to the Garbage but they wouldn't let me in because I was on my own I didn't have a single beer and was totally sober. By the way that's a pretty silly excuse. Safety? Honestly? I don't really get it. Only in the UK

Worst nightclub and music venue in Glasgow. Terrible bouncers, atmosphere, and all round unenjoyable.

Bouncers deny entry to about 90% of male clientele who are even remotely tipsy. I got interrogated on more than one occasion to be told that I wasn't gettin in because my shoes were dangerous. Aye ok, chief. I'll take my lethal weapons elsewhere.

I mean great place to hang out - live music bands. Sound acustic and sound enginer is quite good there, so can enjoy great time with live performance when bands play. What kinda surprised me is aprouch for disabled - as its quite nice. For more time had seen helpfull stuff for some guys in wheelchair while attending metal gigs. Just sugestion even if its lounge for guy in wheelchair it is harder to see group who performs - maybe its possible to let close to stage where guards are - as that would be nice gesture for disabled people in wheelchair - its not complain, but sugestion.

Horrible experience, me and a group of friends had travelled from edinburgh to go to garage specifically for a friends 21st, most of us got in except two girls in the group because they apparently didnt look like how they looked on their provisional. They were told if they can provide a bank card they can get in, so they went all the way back to their hotel to get their bank cards, returned and got rejected again because they said they have already been rejected. They explained to the exact same bouncer he told them to get their bank cards but refused to listen and wouldn't let them in, absolutely ridiculous and ruined our night, worst door staff i've ever encountered

Sick nightclub. Relatively cheap drinks, good crowd, nice staff.

Recently went on a night with the girls, bouncers were very helpful in directing us around the club (the place is massive). Didn t realise who many different rooms and music types there in under one roof. The two blonde girls in the cloakroom were very helpful. Will definitely be back. I was worried when going as it would me all young adults but was very pleasantly surprised that the age range is very mixed. Will definitely be back.

Can't say I've ever had a bad night here! Music is better some nights than others I guess depending on what DJ is playing, although typically kind of standard chart music being played! The club itself isn't anything particularly fancy although it has a nice laid back atmosphere and is a great place just to go have fun with your friends! The bouncers are some of the nicest and friendliest I have encountered while visiting any clubs in Glasgow!
The garage is like that friend that's always there for you, even when you have reached all time lows and levels of drunkness who will still be there for you to have a fun night no matter how you're dressed! (As long as you can walk and talk to the bouncer you'll probably get in)

Pretty loud but it's big enough to have a few different rooms with different music. I was still able to get in whilst having 2 flasks in my possession, the bouncer took them and simply told me that I could get them back once I was leaving. So there was no hassle.

I see on this that complaints about the rude bouncers are very prevalent, I would maybe look into getting the bouncers a lesson in decorum. A friend of mine suffered last night at the hands of the very verbally abusive bouncers when they referred to her as a idiot and didn t want to allow her into the club as she asked why her provisional and passport were not valid forms of id. I have heard a very lot of complaints about the fatter bald bouncer, I feel as though in the best interest for your night club would be to inform him that his pent up anger cannot be taken into the work place as it s very unprofessional.

Couldn't get in here at over 40 for a normal night out. But had a great time at the Rock Radio Bash. Brings back lots of fond memories......the long stairs to get in are iconic. And the many Christmas eve nights me and friends spent in here. Just a shame we're too old to get in now......All goo things and that. Great staff too.

The garage. Great Staff, the nicest security guards I meet, fantastic music and atmosphere. For younger folk, mostly.

I love this place, attend regularly for wrestling and nights outs! The front of house and door staff are always lovely and the bar staff are great too, particularly susie she was so friendly and helpful, great and fast service!!!

Where to begin on January 17th I went to the Garage, I got in the bouncer was a bit weird with the strip search he done to me but moving on, I got in the club just dancing, dabbing, you all that good stuff.

Fast forward a hour or 2, I go to the toilet then I see the buff Black bounce he forced me to spread my cheeks IT WAS AWFUL, I NEVER WENT BACK.

Just a really good place for gigs or just for a night out

Came here on wednesday, music was a bit limited as they only had one room open. The drinks were decent priced though so ended up having an alright night

The place has the worst stuff ever, they are rude and angry for no reason, especially big bearded guy. I went there with another 5 of my college friends but the bouncer didn't let me in saying I don't have friends therefore I can't enter. I was standing there with another 5 people and we were at the door together but the guy kept pretend he doesn't hear me saying that which looked ridiculous. He also was rude to the people that were in front of us. So me and 5 of my friends went to Campus and the stuff there let us in with a smile and happy faces, and we really enjoyed the night in there. I'd never recommend The garage to anyone, my worst experience ever.

Due to the pandemic it's currently closed however,a well known pick up point for taxis.

One of the best clubs in Glasgow, Friday and Saturday always busy. Desperados bar a great place!

Almost couldnt get in because I came alone. They let me in because I looked dressed to the theme and I'm on vacation but that was weird. Only groups can go? 2 dance floors but the lower one (which had actual dance music-vintage pop and current hits) was tiny and you had to cross it to get to the bar. Bad planning.

One bouncer, with beard, told myself and my maori (New Zealand) friend we weren't allowed in and couldn't seem to find an answer as to why. Alchohol was not a factor as we were allowed in to every other club we walked in to. This particular bouncer was so rude, condescending and patronising. We had such a nice opinion of the club before this, had so many good nights but after this we will definitely not be coming back again!

Lager was awful and the soles of my shoes may still be stuck to the floor.

Very reasonable entry fee and cloakroom coupled with well priced drinks + shooters bar. The big appeal of the garage is the variation between all the rooms (mainstream, pop/punk, rock and of course cheesy pop) Great for going out in big groups, on the whole a very friendly staff and always a great night out.

I cant believe this, I just went to to have a couple of drinks with my mate haven't even got drunk at all. Perfectly normally ask me to walk in a straight line I will walk, jump and run. I can believe the horrible service I received because of my colour. If a black person isn't allowed put a sign up saying so I would know next time I was refused for no reason. I never knew this is still going on in today's society I'm phoned up and still nothing they can really take the piss out of someone's night. So next time around send me a text letting me know I'm not allowed so I could go somewhere else cause if not not dont refuse me for my colour I got the ID needed to get in. Thanks for ruining a perfect night. Lots of love Michael
