Had Thanksgiving dinner with vegan son. My Turkey dinner was great, filling and just what I was waiting for. Service was great too despite it being a Holiday. Great suggested wine and dessert was a nice piece of pumpkin pie, topped the dinner off perfectly!

The staff was extremely kind and attentive, but the food was awful, made both me and my mom sick - every omelet I've ever had at Denny's has been better than what I had there (and that's saying a lot for me). Absolutely no seasoning. Coffee was a joke.

This place has gone downhill from a couple if years ago! Used to be a super nice dinner house, now it's way to casual, it was so stuffy and hot, with screaming kids every where, we've been coming here for years, but wont be back.....very sad

Great view upstairs & Wed's 3:30 on Happy Hour w/ good apps. & usual $1.00 off beer, house wine & well drinks. The "No List" wait sucks! especially during very busy Wed. Night Regatta season. People hovering over tables, sliding in on a table you have scopped out but were looking on other side of dining room, feeling pushed to leave as people ask "are you leaving soon"? Very chaotic & not comfortable. PLEASE create a list w/ # in group, PLEASE!

Good.

Wednesday is all night happy hour with 1/2 off appetizers. It's almost always packed. So be prepared to wait. Good selection of appetizers, beer and wine. They have a good amount of outside table seating. But you may need to wait or make sure to come as early as you can to get it.

Delicious restaurant in santa cruz, on the edge of the ocean. Fish menu. Unmissable gourmet experience.
Menu for children present.
Just portions, I suggest to divide the dishes in order to taste more dishes, it's worth it.
My 9 year old daughter, who does not touch fish, asked to come back twice after having tasted the calamari

The Crow's Nest is our favorite Santa Cruz spot. Happy hour drinks and appetizers on the upstairs deck on a nice afternoon are the best and we get up there at least twice a month for a break to enjoy the awesome beach and bay view. Downstairs is one of the best restaurants in the area and is great for special occasions.
Thursday afternoons in the summer they have a beach party where you can enjoy food, drink and music on the beach!
Nightly music for the late night folks who want to dance is also lots of fun.
Great food. Great drink. Great view. Great music. Great fun. GO!

Visited this place several times in my most recent trip to Santa Cruz. It's a real staple. The food is good but can be pricey, depending on time of day, and on which menu you order from. They do have some special offers at different times so worth contacting them to find out more. Previously I had never known it to be a breakfast place, but on my recent trip, I went a few times, and it was super tasty. Love the salad bar too. The staff are friendly and helpfu, and the scenery is stellar. I will definitely be going again on my next trip "home". I definitely recommend it.

Nice.

My wife, son & I had a great experience here all because our server Kayla was amazing! We ordered fish tacos which were absolutely delicious and a bowl of clam chowder which was by far the best we've eaten in the past few days visiting, followed up with a key lime cheesecake which did not disappoint! I saw many items go by that looked amazing and I know we'll be back! THANKS KAYLA

Good location since it's right next to the water and beach. Food ordered was mediocre and bland, but the staff member at the time was very helpful and kind, hopefully most are like that. The bread that's served as a standard appetizer was given fresh and the presentation for the complementary butter was nice. There's a parking lot right outside for $1.50 per hour.

So wasn't a fan of the food. I had the fish and it was bland, but the rice was good. Nice setting out into the ocean with a view of the beach goers and the lighthouse. Parking is less than a couple dollars for the first hour and half.

This place is mediocre at best. Unfortunately this is the best it gets for Santa Cruz. I moved here from Southern California and expected much more for a $30 plate. They barely gave us any food and it was unseasoned and bland. The bread rolls were stale and hard and the butter tasted like sour milk. This is really not the place to go if you want a bang for your buck. Super disappointed because everyone had been hyping this place up and it was so below average. I'm sure native Santa Cruz people love this place but I could have made this meal at home for half the price. Again I have very high food standards and I consider myself a good cook and a foodie, so if you're like me don't even bother with this place. The atmosphere was great and all but again, not worth your money.

Great location. Food is okay. Average tourist food. Fish is usually over cooked and had a waiter and a couple of waitresses with bad attitudes thinking we were tourists. We used to go there when people visit and wanted to eat by the ocean...great view. Meh on the food. Nothing special here...except the salad bar's not bad.

Surprised to find that the food here was really good. We really enjoyed the crab cakes and the calamari. You can tell that everything was freshly made. The only thing that made me give a 4 star review instead of a 5 star review was that the prices were a bit expensive and you have to pay for parking in order to come to the restaurant. This place is located in the pier and is apparently owned by someone else who requires you to pay for parking if you want to park near the restaurant. Just a heads up if you deciding to eat here.

Love this place for the last 25+ years. And it still the best fun dining experiences in Santa Cruz. Plus a great bar and excellent staff. Food rarely disappoints . Clam chowder is flavorful, meaty, thick and tasty. Cocktails are the bomb.

Good view and our server was great, but the kitchen seemed to drag things way down here. Asked for steak medium and it was more well done than another order at the table for medium well. One order of lobster tail had to be sent back, and a baked potato without butter came with butter.

They replaced the problem items and comped one of the meals (great!), but even the food that replaced it was on the more bland end of the spectrum.

Great location overlooking the ocean near the harbor so views abound. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Food is great and has a fantastic happy hour that will make you sing happy happy joy joy. No free parking but well worth it. Been coming here since the late 70s...one of my favorites.

Food was OK, but service was not. Bread came after the appetizer. No one checked on us, coffee never got refilled. Also, $5 for strawberry lemonade and no refills? But I can have a refill of regular lemonade...?

The food at this restaurant was subpar at the most. The service was about the same. It was equivalent to food at Denny's. don't waste your time at this place if you are trying to find a good place to eat. The food scene very tasteless and I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only thing good is the view of the ocean area and Bay Area.

Okay

Amazing views! Romantic setting, for sure. It's a Sunday and I got the buscuits n gravy from the Brunch menu. I suppose it could have been a bad day, but the buscuits were awful and I'd be shocked if the gravy wasn't bought frozen and then microwaved. I'm not saying I won't come back, but I'll never order that again.

Bad seafood, especially for a harbor side restaurant. Panko breaded mahi mahi ridiculously thin slivers, overcooked, dry and meager portion for $21.
Veggie sandwich inconsistently cooked, raw stringy mushroom with under cooked zucchini, other parts mushy and sandwich soggy.

The service was excellent and 3 out the 4 meals were good but do not try the seafood fettuccine. It was watery and lacked flavor. My favorite was the sand dabs, it was 4 nice size pieces of fish. My friend had the prime rib which was also quite nice if prime rib is your thing.
