Great service, very polite and fast. Country Benedict was delicious with Guava Mimosas!

The resturant was nice inside and out. That is why i gave it 2 stars. I ordered the seared ahi appetizer and that was good. Ordered the ahi brochette seared and it came out well done. My wife ordered a seafood salad and there was a piece of metal in it. They did take that plate of the bill. Otherwise they sat all the mexicans other than us in one corner out of sight.

Always a good experience at The Nest. Good food, drinks, service and of course the atmosphere is incredible.

I deleted this review for a while because I was so angry after a particularly bad experience, but it's been enough time to be objective.
I've been to the Crows Nest several times, because so many people seem to love it and I keep thinking that maybe I've just been unlucky.
But every time it's the same thing; overpriced, mediocre at best food (my last visit the tastiest thing I ate there was the dinner mint) hit or miss service. It's got nice views I guess but if that's what you want you can get nicer views and nicer food at the Shadowbrook.
I honestly don't know why this place is so popular. I would not recommend it.

Right on the beach and next to the sailboats tied to the docks. Did carry-out (covid) but from what I saw inside I'm sure I would like to try eating in, reservations are a must. Large servings, bar and dinning on the beach.

Very beautiful setting and the food was great. Service was a little cold. The prices on the menu section of google maps is incorrect. Most dishes are at least $5 more than stated on google maps menu.

Great food and the server Roy was polite, fast and still managed to pop some humor in on us. The trout was delicious but it wasnt cheap, you could go somewhere else but even on a busy night they know how to treat customers. We will be back again for sure.

Their coffee here is delicious. Their chocolate chip cookies are scrumptious. They have a strong internet connection that is free and no password is needed to access. It is a good place to sit and relax. Dogs are not allowed inside.

I will come here for breathtaking panoramic views of Santa Cruz Harbor, lighthouse and wharf, and best for sunset. Another good thing is they open everyday. I have recommend to my friend for her birthday dinner. The restaurant bring a cake for her complementary, and she is very happy. We also came here for Thanksgiving dinner.

Love, love love this place. The staff, the food and drinks and the location right on the beach.

The chef and I clearly have very different views on how to cook a steak. I have never ever had a steak which had exactly the same color all the way through including on the surface. Vegetables were blend and with no taste. Definitely over prized

Sat us outside patio which is what we wanted however the way our table was squeezed in the sun was blinding and the loose tile under my seat meant every step taken br either the wait staff or customers was like my chair was being kicked. My food was great prawn w hazelnut salad yummy. View would have been amazing if we were not squeezed in as mentioned prior.

Ate here all weekend. No need to go anywhere else for me.

We went to this restaurant on Father s Day and although the wait was a bit long, the food was wonderful and the waiter was friendly and attentive. It is a little pricey, but it was worth it. The outdoor seating has a gorgeous view, and I will definitely be going again the next time I m in town!

Pretty good food. Nice outdoor patio where you can watch the boats go by, and Alan the waiter who gave us tons of local tips. Definitely a top spot for breakfast in the area!

Amazing mango salsa mahi mahi. The prime rib tasted all wrong, but the service was phenomenal.

We were surprised to be able to sit inside. We had a great view of the harbor traffic and a great lunch too!

Great food, very friendly waiters, prices are reasonable. Expect to pay about $13-20 per meal. They are very kid friendly and have kids menu and coloring books and also give kids a little present at the end of the meal to pick out from a treasure chest.

Went for drinks and appetizers during happy hour. A bit crowded. The food was good, but the service was indifferent.

Having brunch on the sunny balcony (heated if too cold or windy) is super relaxing!

Only good place to hear live music and be able to dance food good also there drinks service is very good.

I haven't decided if the value is there. The view and food is good but I am not sure if it is worth the money. I would go there if everyone else wanted to go there, but it would not be on my list of places to dine.

The chocolate mouse was to die for!! Great fresh dishes. Steak was a little over cooked so be specific!

Great place! The appetisers were amazing- especially the Calamari. The mains were great too- loved the Cod.

Excellent service delightful "Hawaiian Ono" seafood special, moist thick white filet with wild mushrooms fresh tender asparagus in wine cream sauce.

So fun! We enjoyed dinner on a heated patio while watching the sunset. Food and service was good. I had sand dabs with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Wine pour was generous. Yummy warm bread and butter served while you wait.

Great location, waterfront, but service can be slow and menu lacks creativity and taste.

This has been one of my favorites for the past 40+ years. We eat there once or twice a month. Food has always been good. Service is usually good. Most of the time we eat upstairs. For special occasions or brunch we eat downstairs.

The prime rib special was flavorful, tender and one of the best prime ribs I've ever had. Friendly service with a nice outside tent seating with a great view.

Salad bar wasn't bad, entree's we're excellent. They did get the drink orders wrong, but that's a minor thing.

Epic views, Friendly Servers, Standard fare that missed the mark

Came for breakfast and glad we did. The service was really good, attentive and prompt but not hurry. The breakfast had varieties to choose from and was delicious. The view in May on the day of the Royal wedding was the perfect day to come.

Bar is very busy, great for a quick bite, and the var menu has some inexpensive choices compared to the restaurant menu. This trip I had a client in a wheelchair. The tables were way to crowded to make our way thru without disturbing each & every table

Food portions where huge, but not *good*. Seems to cater to old folks' palette, which is fine, just not for me.

Watch the sail boats return into their slips in the evening while the sea lions play and you enjoy great food!

Stunning views! Good salad bar. The bar upstairs is a better deal than the downatairs dining room.

Good food, good service, views of Monterey Bay, clean restrooms and fair prices. Parking has reasonable cost.

My male waiter was excellent, perfect service. However spotted female waitress dressed in muscle shirt serving patrons, most unbecoming, this is a beach type restaurant laid back and Santa Cruz style however, I find this s low class , no class as patrons may a good amount of money to dine here. I personally do not want to see a half clad female serving 50$ entrees dressed like a bar maid. Just say in... Class it up Crows Nest.

Love this venue, especially when there are live bands.

Food was very good, service was not good, server with attitude. Service not on par with the food.
