An intimate place to have coffee or a bite. It's surrounded by books like a library but without the noise ordinances!

Over priced and not a great selection of books , I am not interested in the hipster behind the counters opinion on the books I have chosen or requested, maybe a little less energy on trying to make your store cool , and just a wee bit more attention to what your customer actually wants
Although it was small, limiting the selections, the great customer service is really the best of this place. As it was my first visit to Manchester, I found the staff in both the cafe and on the floor eager and willing to answer any questions I had. Should I visit Manchester again, I'll make a note to pop by again.
Such an amazing atmosphere. You walk in and you leave behind the hustle and bustle of downtown. The food was so good and the staff just pleasant to be around.
Such a cute bookstore on elm street. The cafe in the back has good lunch offerings too.
What a great addition to downtown Manchester! The staff are friendly and helpful, a nice diverse book selection, and awesome cafe in the back! Try the donuts, lots of different icing/sauce choices and they are a great shareable snack while you read. They have something for everyone, dedicated children's area, seating by the windows so you can people watch, and they have a varied schedule of live events. Check it out!
I enjoy looking for books here and enjoying a cup of coffee and/or snack. It is located on Elm St. and close to many parking areas, there is street parking in front of the Bookery. They also host many authors and live music.
Never underestimate the importance of having a local book store. They're as important as public libraries. In particular, the Bookery has a great staff of people who really understand what they are doing and love books. Automatically that qualifies them as good people.
The fact that they serve food is an added bonus! A staple of Elm Street.
A lovely gathering space for the community and a great grilled cheese!
Great book selection, yummy coffee, welcoming employees who were kind, friendly & helpful. They also have an adorable kids section, unique gifts, comfy sitting areas, restrooms & a small private event room!
I ordered a book through Bookery's website that they did not have in-store. They made it quick and easy to request online and pay over the phone. In all, it only took less than a week to request and receive my book in the mail.
Quaint shop. Enjoyed the live jazz. BLT was very good.
Amazing selection of books. Very friendly staff. Definitely will come again.
KID FRIENDLY! I love that about this place, I've got to say there are very few places for mamas out there. I don't have to go in, get a coffee or tea and rush out because my kids are past bored already. I can actually sit, relax and ENJOY! Plus my kids LOVE going here. We will easily spend 2-3 hours and feel like we've relaxed, read and played in a safe place.
Fantastic independent bookstore. For a smaller space they have an amazing selection, books to suit all tastes. They also have lovely gifts. Their event calendar is impressive as is their cafe. Definitely check this place out.
Definitely more of a Cafe than a bookstore, but has a smallish, maybe somewhat curated selection books, and the Cafe is great.
Cute little bookstore and coffee shop. Small, so limited inventory, but very broad selection to offer a little of everything for anyone that stops in.
The food was delicious helpful, friendly staff, reasonable prices and comfortable setting.
I really like this store. My son and I enjoy going down for a sweet and a new book. or two when I pick him up after school.
Great atmosphere for relaxing. The snacks are great. I loved the maple and bacon dip for their donuts.
Nice clean shop. They had a great selection there despite being small. Staff was super nice and great. One employee approached me and my friends and offered us free bookmarks which was super nice of him.
Great local bookstore and cafe with delicious food. This is a good place to read or study, and they are open late enough to go after work!
Delightful and full to the brim with local artists, writes, thinkers and doers. Wish they warmed the doughnuts, but the coffee was made as requested. Book selection is fun, on point and well laid out.
The Bookery is a fun bookstore in downtown Manchester! It has a nice selection of books and friendly staff! They also have nice Cafe options.
the workers are always helpful and the set up is very inviting and fun.
Nice place, good book selection. Good cafe and live events.
Great (well curated) selection of books. I had an apple spice donut with a generous serving of chocolate granash.
Such a great little bookstore! I'm surprised at the amount of good selections they have. They also have a chill vibe and lots of events! Heads up - they are closed on Tuesdays.
Staff is great and so is atmosphere....but I must be honest, I think everything is too expensive, especially for this area.
This is the place to buy books. May cost a tiny bit more than online but totally worth the experience and friendly service. Also the coffee is fantastic and the food, to be dryly technical, is nommy.
The cutest place with the nicest staff. It has a very open layout, which is great for reading, getting work done, or socializing. It's a nice mix of some quiet spots, and some louder ones! The book selection is not the largest, but this is in no way a negative. The books they do have seem to be carefully handpicked and are very diverse. Also, the cafe in the back is ahhhhmazing; I always get a hazelnut cappuccino, and it's worth every penny (not too expensive, either!).
The Bookery is such a wonderful place to find a specific book or just to stumble upon one you didn t even know you needed. I have been there a few times, and every time, the experience has been very positive. The space is cheerful and bright, and the ambiance is inviting. The staff are really friendly but never pushy. They seem to actually enjoy their jobs (and I hope they do!).
This is the bookstore Manchester downtown needed. It has an interesting selection and a cafe that serves beer and wine. The long hours make it a great place to chill after work.
Great people. Can get a better price on Amazon but for a reader it's well worth the extra money in my opinion.
Amazing coffee, cool atmo. Amazing selection of books on current events!
Great addition to downtown Manchester! Fun atmosphere and excellent customer service--don't see what you're looking for? They'll order it for you.
Love this place for multiple reasons. The random visit with creative and original live music. The panini sandwiches on a Sunday. The consistently cool events in the evenings. Good coffee and of course the books! Will support this business as much as possible.
Very friendly staff, and just a neat place to hang out. Next visit I'm probably going to try something from the cafe
Ok
Lots of light
New books, lots of people with laptops
Very nice small bookstore. Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Great little spot we stumbled upon on our way to the Trump Rally. Great breakfast sandwiches
One of the best places downtown. Nicely curated selection of books, great pastries, nice people. What every bookstore should be!
