Thalasses Sea Food Restaurant, Athens Review

Excellent food, good service and away from traffic. Selection of wines and ouzos, fresh fish well prepared.

Excellent food. Fresh and tasty. Check the menu for the products that are frozen (king crab etc). My recommendation: king crab tartar, rice with asparagus and saffron, seafood pasta. A little pricey (we paid 132 for 2 appetizers, 2 main courses and 1 bottle of wine) but it worth every penny.

Food and service are ok, but the prices are a bit too high

Not cheap but everything was cooked perfectly. Fish and seafood was tender and juicy, orzo sauce was intense, eggplants had a very strong charcoal-grill flavour

Unfortunately we didn't go back to the restaurant that we'd chosen the other day. We wanted to try Seven Seas but it didn't meet up for the exceptations.
First problem is that my friend tried to order that he really likes(greek lobsters) but came out that they only had 1 or 2 items from the fresh fish menu, no lobsters or scampis or anything like that. Allright, no problem.
I ordered the fish carpaccio(tuna, salmon, sea bass).
When my carpaccio arrived we had to still wait for the other 3 starters 5-10 minutes. Everything arrived, lets start eating the carpaccio. No Tuna! Rather I got octopus without noticing me at all. Managed to change it to salmon but ordered the carpaccio because I really prefer tuna. No offer to change the dish.

Mains:
Risotto with seafood: nice taste, texture is one of the worst we ever had. Was quite like a soup.

Salmon: fish itself without seasoning, pretty tasty cheese on top. Dry and unacceptable rice. The pineapple salsa was delicious.

Linguine with clams: nobody mentioned that it's a spicy dish. My friend can't eat any spicy stuff at all, so had to change for the fried seafood which just was just tossed together with veggies in a pan with oil. Tasted sour and bitter. No offer for change we told it's just bad.

All together doesn't worth it at all or just maybe they had a bad time this day...
Totally unacceptable.

Im not giving 1 star because the presentation of food was really cool. Thats it.

Impressive seafood restaurant behind the main square of Thessaloniki. When you enter, you are impressed by the decoration and the service, predisposing you, of course, that you will put your hand deep in your pocket. The varieties we chose were sushi of various kinds which were some of the best I've tried in Greece. The professional service with waiters who are always by your side to ask you if you want something else or to help you with the serving. A good variety of wines with a lack of knowledge, however, from the waiters regarding the characteristics of each wine. I put four stars, although it was quite expensive, but I also like the taste and the presentation of each dish. It is not a restaurant that you will go to very often if you belong to the middle class but it is ideal for any anniversary, birthday, etc.

Great store, with prestige but without getting tired! It's quite expensive, but the quality of the dishes, the service and the decor of the space are of a similar standard! I recommend it for special and special moments.

The salad was good but the fish and chips were extremely salty! I normally eat salty food but this was not eatable! Even though I told them about that, they didn t deduct it from the bill. Also, the food is extremely pricey compared to other restaurants in Thessaloniki. And the food definitely doesn t worth the price!

They didn't have fish, because we were quite a large group, they informed us that the wine we chose had only 3 bottles.

The best seafood restaurant in town! Nice friendly environment regular portions. I recommend it as the 1st choice for anyone who wants seafood. Very satisfactory prices.

Excellent menu and professional service. The must is the ribbon fillet and the chocolate semifredo! 4 stars just for unequal behavior in terms of wine selection. The choice and approval of a wine is not a matter of gender, although in the store it is considered a male affair as it was addressed only to the man of the company.

Wow wow wow really good food and well served, staff to improve definitely but the service itself is good.

Helpful staff, nice dishes (I recommend salmon with sweet potatoes) but the charge of 12 for a basket of frozen buns is unacceptable! The fish soup was delicious but also not worth the 19 . We were told they were serving sushi after 7, so we couldn't order it, but at 4.30 the waiter passed us with 3 platter rolls ... Next time we will probably try somewhere else.

Excellent fish restaurant, with non-trivial dishes. The choice of meat is very high, but being the "Seven Seas" restaurant it is understandable. About 200 euros in six.

No doubt the quality is excellent and the service is really good, but the price doesn't make sense in Thessaloniki. Too expensive.
