Sweet Bistrô Review

Save yourself the aggravation! We stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday. From the look of tbe dining room, the cleaning crew had not yet arrived to clean up from the apparent party the night before. While 3 people stood casually behind the bar, we sat in the dining room by ourselves without any service. Finally, I waived over a waitress who judging by her attire doubles as a delivery runner. Even after acknowledging my presence, she walked to the kitchen twice before arriving at our table. She greeted us warmly and took our order. I proceeded to the men's room(cleaning crew skipped that area too) to wash my hands. I opened the door and gagged on fresh cigarette smoke. I should mention that the only other males in the establishment were employees. Anyway, I wash my hands and reach for a towel... empty!!! I manage to open the door with dripping wet hands and immediately encounter one of the casual workers who's response was " Oh, oh!" And then runs off only to return after 4 minutes with a puzzled look and empty hands to say "I'm Still lookin"

Fortunately, there is science and my hands air dried. I returned to my table and patted away the dampness with the napkins on the table. 10 minutes later, the joker came by the table and only said "I took care of it." GTFOH!! First impressions are lasting. 25 minutes after ordering, still nothing from the kitchen. Maybe the cook is on another smoke break.

Found a piece of razor blade in my stir fry! Do not order from here!

The food was great, had the lobster dip and fries! Great atmosphere with live music. All I can say is if you dont come and visit you are missing out. I even failed to mention the band which was amazing tonight!

Nasty food tried 100 worth of food and nothing was good food burnt no taste

Great food, great music. Slim beer selection, usually very busy. The earlier you go the better. $$. Nowhere to park though.

Terrible terrible ..sold me old ribs and they still owe me an Italian sausage. I waited 35 minutes for them to warm up old food. I eventually told them I'll come back to get the sausage. I was never offered a refund and I tipped

Food is good, staff is great. Unfortunately my car window was busted by the time we came back out from picking up a carryout. Sad to say I will not eat there again.

Saw this place on the way to visit my uncle in the hospital. The lunch specials are a great deal. At the time of our visit the burger and fries were 5.99 for both. I would definitely get that again.

Also ordered a lobster Mac and cheese and loaded potato. The lobster Mac should be called seafood Mac because I saw more imitation crab in there than anything else. The flavor was good but the noodles were overcooked giving the dish a mushy texture.

The burger was excellent. Juicy on a toasted bun. The fries were also delicious. The loaded potato was also good with lots of veggies cheese and sour cream.

I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars but because my total bill turned out to be less than 23 dollars I would say the lunch special is a great deal. Plus the ambiance is a bit upscale with the server being pleasant and attentive.

I would come back again for their lunch special to get the burger and fries.

We sat there for hours and not a single waitress came up we hade to walk to the bar to order drinks and food smh other than that I was a nice environment for my the food was good and also the music

Great food! A little overpriced but absolutely worth it. Visiting Detroit for a bit and it is the best food we've had in Detroit! You have got to try their sweet potato fries (omggg) and their lobster Mac and cheese.

The food is EXCELLENT BUT the WAIT IS HORRIBLE. I waited 45 minutes for 1 burger and 1 order of fries and it was too go. They also need to add their prices to the menu.

Ordered through DoorDash. No option to choose sides. Restaurant cancelled my order after the driver got there without calling me. Unprofessional and won t even attempt to try to support this place again.

They need something in place for people picking up their orders. I got there and the doorman tried to charge me $5 to enter. I told him I was picking up my food order, that seemed to register slowly. Once past him I walk in and I'm lost. There's no sign for picking up orders, No help, nothing for a first timer to go off of. Next I walk to the end of the bar no one even acknowledges that I'm there, trust me I stand out from the crowd. At least 3 of their waitresses walked by me. 2 of them looked dead at me when I came in mind you. I was there like 15mins trying to pick up an order I called in! The waitresses may be better alert if they're not drinking! Too many people standing around just talking on the job.

Now the food! I got there honey glazed salmon with loaded potatoes (no bacon), grilled asparagus, lobster mac and cheese sticks. This came to $38, mind you I've paid $38 and got enough food to feed my husband and I for 2 days. The Honey glazed Salmon had no glaze, not even a hint of honey! My loaded potatoes were just cheese potatoes. The asparagus was bland. This so called lobster mac was salty and gross, it barely had lobster in it! The cheese combination was terrible and tasted cheap! I didnt even finish it! I was sooo disappointed! Will not be returning to this establishment.

I waited too long for a carry out, honey glazed salmon was over cooked it was dry and tough the mac and cheese was good,the broccoli was dry. The atmosphere wasn't the best.

We came here at 6:15 ordered our food at 6:30 and did not start to receive our food until 8:30... service was very poor I DO NOT RECOMMEND !

We had a reservation from 1:30p.m when we got there our reservation was not available to be truth they actually had not even begin to prepare for us. So therefore we see this business is not running as a business but as a joke and we would never take our business there again either.

I picked up a Uber Eats delivery and the waitress approached me with a greeting and food ready to go.The place looks like a cool spot to hang out and dine in.Thank you for good service.

TERRIBLE 'WAITRESS"! After ordering food, this lil girl had the nerve to tell us to go to the bar to order drinks so that she wouldn't forget them. I ordered food and after almost an hour, I asked about it and she never put the order through. When it came time for the rest of the party (10) to pay, she call herself separating the bill but the first debit card scanned, she charged the whole party. After being gone with the card for about 20 minutes, she finally explained that she made a mistake. It then took another 20 minutes to come back with the card. When we asked for the manager or owner, they never came but sent a complimentary drink as we were celebrating a birthday. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Decent food, cool atmosphere, cute waitresses, especially the one with the pink hair, lol. I went last night on some ...."i'm bored so let me get out the house" type mood. I've been before during the late lunch hour and really enjoyed the Anita Baker bacon burger & the Stevie Wonder wonderful wings. I wanted a burger last night but the chef didn't feel like cooking anymore, lol. I've been told that happens a lot. But overall, I will return and kick it!

Had a great time at this place.. enjoyed the food the service, small dance floor. Good to come and hang out listen to good music and be with the people you enjoy.

Place look very nice, the servers gave there regulars all the service ignoring me and everyone I was with. I will say I think a second shift came in at a certain time and the got a little better. My food took about an hour and thirty mins. The food was good but what good is it if it come when your party is about to leave! I won't be going back there until there is some change.

The atmosphere was good but they would do better with better waitresses. We had to go to the bar to order because our waitress never came back with our order.

For those who are not afraid to venture off into Detroit, this this is a pretty cool spot to go to for drinks and food. The overhead music can be a bit loud but if you're from where I'm from you'll get it. Definitely a nice spot to go to to hang out with friends for that after-work drink. If you are on an intimate date this is not the place to go. And it's definitely not the place for a first date. But overall you will enjoy your experience here. #HandsomeClark

Like this place because it give this sense home type of feeling. If you like your food well done make sure you tell them more than once. The mac and cheese is the bomb and the lamp chop

The place was clean. Except the bathroom. The food was ok . I got the honey glazed salmon (great), greens & mac n cheese. The greens was a lil over seasoned and kind of looked like spinach but okay

The food is so good. It's flavorful and well seasoned. The Aretha Franklin Catfish nuggets are Awesome. The onion rings are colossal and delish. Then the veggie wrap was really good just wish that it had so raw veggies in it too. However the service was sub par. The waitress repeatedly forgot our drink orders thank God were not change. The food was taking to long considering they only at the time had about six Customers in the establishment. Next there was suppose to be a performer there whos show was suppose to start at 9pm by 11 she still was not there. And then they wanted to charge. $20 at the door. The food is already at a deserving price. I have more issues but that is enough for now.

I truly enjoyed my experience today! I didn't plan on stopping by but I'm elated that I did! Great food, great customer service, great company! The manager went to buy an avocado for my cobb salad...which was exceptional! #yummy! Shout out to my boy Tiba for inviting me and Chef Corey!

My Bacon Cheeseburger was simply amazing but I brought my bro and he got a catfish sandwich no mayo but it was just fish and bread. I will definitely be back though that burger was on point !!!

Since y'all got outed with that video on Facebook on how unsanitary your kitchen is, have y'all cleaned up since then, and put food away in it's proper place and no longer serving old food that's been left out?

Small parking lot 10 dollars for valet wow! We spent 15 minutes inside too much for cover charge on a Tuesday

I hate to give it only two stars because the food was pretty good, the service was excellent but when I looked at my bank account a few days later to match it to my receipt (which I always do) I realized they charged my card more than what I signed my bill for.
I have called and written to them and have yet to heard back.
So, please be careful. I don't know if this happens often, but I won't be returning.
