"Summer in the City" World Premiere/Stage West Theatre/Calgary Review

Had an absolute blast here with a group of friends! Excellent waitstaff, good food choices, and fun productions.

Very little variety for the morning buffet. Food was plentiful though and replenished quickly. Wasnt probably prepared with just my pallete in mind, but food needs way more spicing in IMHO. Good service and smiley staff. Toilets were cordoned off and the only one open had a looooong wait.

The show was very good. Very disappointed I the food. Roast beef was really tough and cold, eggs were cold,sausages weren't cooked all the way through. Over all one of the worst meals I had there in all the times I have been going to Stage West.

My family has been coming here for years. Staff are very friendly. Buffet and show are always great. A great variety of performances.

"And then the lights went out" refreshing clever, and a break from the usual boring farces. All my group enjoyed it.

Went to Drinking Habits 2 and loved the show. The acting is very good and laced with humor. If you like seafood then you can select from sushi, crab legs, jumbo shrimp and escargot. The are also a large selection of other dishes including carved roast beef.

Limited selection of food. Seating accommodation was a little tight.

It was fun. We attended the brunch on Sunday. The Food could be better but a lot of selection. The show was the 90's it was ok ... but the performers for the guys and gals did awesome.

Came back again this time we tend to show Jersey Boys which was very very good enjoy lead singer and learn a lot about the Jersey Boys. The food again was good selection on brunch menu such as eggs benedict sausage bacon scrambled eggs did you have a bar that makes fresh French toast which smells awesome and good selection on desserts.

The food was amazing. The servers was great and very friendly. The show could have been better as I ve seen the movie mama Mia more then enough times as it is my favourite movie. They didn t put say it word to word drone the movie. And the lead actresses Donna and Sophie sing was weak. And couldn t hear them. They were to high pitch. And carried some notes to long. But all together it was a great experience.

Food is always good, the features change every time I'm there and there is a lot of effort that goes into the shows.

Fantastic show! Great and very professional acting. Really worth it what you pay for the show and dinner. I took only one picture as I didn't hear that it was not allowed to take pictures during the show but I think pictures should be allowed and we could help to advertise in our media there wonderful service and shows.

Not going to lie, the buffet wasn't amazing. It was not bad either. Go for the performances, not the food :D

Love stage west, we go every year, has become our Christmas tradition

I have gone 3 times now, and I have never been disappointed! I was skeptical about how good the buffet could really be, but the options are amazing! There are the regular items (crab legs, prawns, mussels, sushi), and then the hot items are always different.

My husband is a vegetarian, and had a ample amount to close from. I always look forward to eat whatever is cooking on the grill.The dessert bar is fantastic too.

The shows are always fantastic too. It's an all around great night. The ticket price is definitely worth it!

Always worthwhile coming here. Came for a kids play and it was fantastic!! Great job and the menu was catered to kids. Just a wholesome and enjoyable time all the way around.

Went and saw the 90's. Absolutely amazing show. The dinner was wonderful with lots of mid to high style options and a delicious desert bar

Wow! Great food. Great entertainment. We've attended dinner theatre in other cities, but for some reason have never fine in Calgary until now. We'll be back for sure!!!!

Have been going here off and on for more then 15 years, and I ve never been disappointed. The shows are top notch, the food is second to none for dinner-theatre venues, and the ambiance makes it an ideal space for a date night. I highly recommend them!

One of the best plays ive seen there. " a gentleman's guide to love and murder"

Desert selection is incredible and many just come here for that. Most of the main meals are very tasty with a wide selection from meat, seafood, salads, fresh fruits and pasta. The plays are well executed. At minimum, a very good night out.

A lot of fun. Shows are always entertaining. Food is "fine" and lots of options. Staff is friendly. Price is a bit high though.

If you love seafood, visit Stage West, so many choices. Their peach cobbler is absolutely amazing!

We went to "Young Frankenstein" on opening night, and it was amazing! The food was superior to any buffet we have ever been to locally, and the show was hilarious and highly entertaining. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend you do this at least once!

Its was a very nice night. We saw The Outsider! Quick and whitty take on modern politics. Very funny. The food that they offered was very well done. This is a great night of entertainment...especially when you save some money on ladies night!

The food was plentiful and delicious. They also try to make the meal on theme. We saw Mamma Mia and it was a seafood smorgasbord. The show was well done. I'm not even a big abba fan and had a great time. Plates were bused quickly and the servers were fantastic. I do enjoy coming back here when I can.

I had a great time. Me my wife and our friends all had fun. Good food, good show, good people= good times.

It was our first time at stage west, the Sherlock Holmes play was really well done and the food was excellent! I would recommend booking early as they did not have any tables for two... That being said the other couple was very friendly, we had a great time.

Meal is always good. Shows are varying quality. We have seen about 7 and loved 2 liked 4 and didn't like one so in general its a good place for live theater. Liked it way better than jubilations.

We had a wonderful night out with family. Food was good. It was Seafood night , and I am very allergic to it. There was still other choices. Always has a great gluten free menu. Great show.

The production of MAMA MIA is the best production I have seen at Stage West. The casting and the choreography were superb!!

Great show combined with good food makes a very enjoyable night out.

Really disappointed - food was so bad that it is hard to find something in the buffet that is worth eating, and the show was worse than bad. I will never again pay for a show and meal at Stage West. I'm not sure how the show quality has gotten to such a low level - save yourself the pain and just go for dinner and a movie, or better yet check out one of Calgary's other excellent live music or performance venues.

I like giving positive feedback, but today was terrible.

The roast was tuff, the Schnitzel even tougher, the German noodles ok but the gravy runny and tasteless.

This experience today was just awful.

Great play, fantastic actors and the food was unbelievable! Definitely coming back!

I don t know what to say,
The talent and quality of the show was beyond my expectations. We seen the 90 s show and it was WOW!! WOW!

The food was high quality and yummy.

Sadly they need more wait staff and cleaners.

The bathrooms are beyond disgusting and that is me being too kind. If that is what we see in the public spaces just imagine how dirty it is behind the scenes.

My point of note is . at some point that week
Someone had puked under our table and the dried out debris was still on the carpet and the smell was beyond tolerable

it ruined my guests night, my sister left early because she realized her feet were in the scum.
I didn t know why she left until after the show. It should be a common expectation for staff to look under the tables after a show or at least do a sniff test.

Again the variety of foods, the quality of food and the talent of the staff was worth the price.

But for me and the low price of $600 sadly all my family can talk about is the puke debris and stench, and the bathrooms.

Slowly making changes to save money. Gluten free options are minimal and not that great which is silly this day and age. Ran out of food on my last visit. I've been a season ticket holder since 2001. Prices go up and quality goes down every year. Also zero dress code anymore. Kind of dissaponting. It used to be a special night out. It is losing its charm .

Dinner show of high quality. The buffet meal is rich and varied.
Musicals always pleasant. Beautiful voices and staged successful.
We have never been disappointed!

Food was decent and the show was entertaining (Legally Blonde Muscial). Great value especially when it's 2 for 1!

The Everly Brothers Experience staring the Zmed
Brothers at stage west was nothing short of fantastic. They provided an excellent history and musical tribute, all done with a Smothers brothers comical interaction. Just excellent fun. Have been season ticket holders at Stage West for years, this was the best evening of entertainment so far.

Great place for a date. Very good food and very good musical show. Reasonable in cost.

Absolutely loved the Buffet. Lots of variety from Roast, to frog legs to Salmon Sashimi. The performance was fantastic and fairly high quality overall. Had a great time and makes me realize that there is no substitute for live entertainment.

Saw legend of rock. While I'm a little young to know all the songs the ones I did know we're preformed like I was listening to the original.

Well this show was awesome! The gentlemens guide to love and murder. Stage West really has upped their game. Grade A talent. A nice set, a great band, good production values all around. The food was up a notch as well and the drinks were a reasonable price. All in all a great deal but more importantly... It was really good.

We watched Legally Blonde here and were so impressed with the quality of acting, singing and dancing. The buffet lunch was superb. I would definitely recommend stage west to anyone visiting Calgary! These professional actors in legally blonde did a top notch job!
