"Summer in the City" World Premiere/Stage West Theatre/Calgary Review

Great food, try not to over-eat or you'll be groaning! The show was excellent - Jersey Boys on this particular night.

Enjoyed the play, dinner was good, parking could be an issue.

This is our 5th year going to the Children s Christmas dinner theatre. We always love it and totally recommend.
The reason I gave 3 stars is because there were lots of desserts but not one dairy free one - unless your kid likes to eat fruit while everyone else gets ice cream with a condiment buffet, cakes, pudding, etc.
I also went to the washroom 2x and both stalls has either no lock on the stall door or the lock wouldn t shut. They need to upgrade to include more bathroom stalls and space to hand wash.

The musicals are the best and the food is really good.

This is a fantastic place to meet up with friends and watch an entertaining show. This was not my first and definitely won't be my last visit to Stage West. Plan on arriving close to the time the doors open, there's not a great deal of waiting room.

The food; great buffet fair. They had a fantastic variety, vegetarian, gluten-free, meatetarian and seafood. The beef was fantastic, beef brisket blowed my mind, nicely done chef. I'm personally not a big dessert fan, but what I had was very tasty. Little green cheesecake squares, perfect size. I'll be honest I ate so much beef there wasn't much room to sample anything.

The show was entertaining. Our waiter (Belle) was fantastic. Table was always kept clear of empty plates. Which is a must, there's not much extra space available on the tables. And who wants allot of empty plates piled up on your table. Every seat that I've had seems to be a good one. You can of course still have a giant in your way from time to time. If your vertically challenged I'd recommend sitting closer to the front of each section. Never had the opportunity to sit in one of the large booths or upstairs, so I have no recommendations there.

Stage West phoned me Re;Madonna show and I told them how disappointed I was. They gave me a complimentary performance pass which I was not exspecting and I was very impressed with what they offered.
Food and service was never the issue , it's was the quality of the show performance. The Elvis show was 100 times better. Two thumbs up Stage West for their respect for their customers and I will be back for sure.

Prime rib roast is delicious. We went on a night where one of the cast members suddenly got sick and they had to stop the play 1/3 way through. They said that they would be getting back to us to rearrange the next day, however it's been 6 days and we have not heard back.

Absolutely amazing buffet. And the show was great. Loved my evening out with stage west.

Shows were a lot of fun. Food was pretty good. Some stuff was a little salty. Went on sunday for the power of 4 so it was only 75 bucks.

Had a horrible experience here. They do not have high chairs!! Why have a childrens Christmas party without high chairs!?? Staff was horrible as well. My son fell off a chair onto his head and the staff was more concerned about me making him be quiet rather then about his well being! So I took him with a blood covered face and left, I wasnt asked even once if he was ok. Wont be returning

First time here. Had a nice time and the meal was great!

We went for the brunch show. Food was delicious, the staff was friendly and attentive and the show was very entertaining. Do get there when doors open, you will have enough time to get food and enjoy. Plus parking doesn't accommodate everyone you might have to park in the overflow lot

I get why people like it, but the food was very meh, and the price is exhorbant. The play, momma mia, was... fine. I would generally prefer to eat at a good restaurant and then go to a good show, which would cost about the same. Also, their drink menu looks lifted directly from a Boston pizza in the 90s, which is to say I've literally never seen worse, and with all the good local breweries in calgary there is no excuse whatsoever for this blatant laziness.

Blown away by the customer service! We made a mistake with the dates and thought our tickets were for today's show when it was in fact yesterday! We called and spoke with ticket centre the situation thinking we had to buy brand new tickets, but the manager let us use our tickets from yesterday and applied it today! Couldn't believe how he helped us out even though it was OUR mistake! We will be back for more shows this year because of that! Thank you!

The best dinner theatre in Calgary! Excellent buffet with entertainment. There is also usually an intermission while the dessert tables are open.

Always a fabulous performance and the food is outstanding (even for picky vegetarians!)

I always enjoy our experience at Stage West. The buffet is great with the dessert bar as my favorite. We are planning to attend Legally Blond and looking forward to the excellent performance as always.

Holy fun with a fabulous meal here. I wish I could have eaten more. Food was fabulous and lots of it. We loved the performance. We will have to do dinner again here.

Great play and interesting to have a diner buffet before. Food is ok but not extraordinary unless you like seafood what I don't reason why I'm giving a 4 star.

The latest production is perhaps the best I have seen there - Johnny Cash, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis - this role stole the show for me...

What an amazing show, what can I say... if you didn't get to go, you really missed out on what I think is the best show ever.

The food is always great and the shows high energy and fun. For main course meals, there's a lot of options for a variety of food allergies, but desserts are limited.

I went with a best friend to see Jersey Boys . The show was amazing. The singing was wonderful. It is great to hear songs from yesterday . The food was delicious. I tried a variety of what they had . The atmosphere was relaxing and calm . I would go again. It is a wonderful experience.

One of the most enjoyable shows I've ever been to and I've been around the world if you live in Calgary and you haven't been there you're making a big mistake

Went here for a work Christmas party and gotta say. I'm not a stage performance person or care for musicals that much, but gotta say this was a really fun morning/afternoon watching Momma Mia! There was a huge selection of delicious food and the performance was even better! Would come here again for a date night!

Usually has good shows and decent food. Doesn t feel quite as prestigious as it used to... there are no longer the warnings of no jeans allowed etc. The new seats are way more comfortable than they used to be.

Great atmosphere, great friendly service and the food was stunning and deliciously varied. The stage ensemble were great but the show I saw "Hollywood Hits" felt a little flat though this was due to songs having an increased Tempo and shortened in order to fit as many songs as they could in. I personally prefer quality over quantity and it's hard for the fantastic performers to emote when they are literally being rushed through each set and can't get fully in character though they did a fantastic job despite this.

Elodie dorsel, Tiera watts, David Cotton and JJ Gerber really stood out for me they were a joy to watch and projected their passion for performance with grace and joy

Overall I had a great time and will be sure to come again I just hope the stage director gives the talent more time.

Food was pretty good, lots of it. I saw 1 lady trying to eat her tickets worth in crab legs. I shouldn t say anything though. Good food, good service. My only wish was that the tables turned into beds when it was time to watch the show. The skirts around the tables reveal too much if you undo your pants after dinner. Either longer skirts on tables or have the tables to turn into beds so a lady can stretch out.

The food is amazing only thing id say is the tables are a little cramped but the play was hilarious (i did find the mics on the girls foreheads a bit diatracting) over all the four of us that went this time had a great time will go again for sure.

Never been disappointed anytime I go here. Food is fantastic, service is excellent and the entertainment top notch. It can be an expensive evening but there are special nights to reduce the price such as Seniors night, Ladies night and group night. If you just want to check the buffet go Friday brunch for $17 bucks. it's a seafood buffet with roast beef...yup 17 bucks!

The food is wonderful and the plays are usually very good. I recommend stage West as a nice place to go for special dates like anniversaries.

Stage West show and Buffet is always entertaining. We ve come several times now, god place to have dinner with friends.

Food & service was good as usual. The show Red Rock diner was very good

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. This show was excellent. We ended last season with a very questionable show...this one was well worth it!

Always a great selection at the buffet and the show, The Baskervilles was terrific!

Haven't been to Stage West in years, and was not disappointed. Jersey Boys was amazing and so was the service and food.

Always great food and performances are fantastic. Wonderful time and worth the price.

We were invited for a company function at Stage West and did not know what to expect. First of all if you do not like signing and dancing hold those thoughts because the buffet and the drinks make up for it! It's a fairly large building, I would expect it to be very busy on any given evening, plan to be in a crowded area until seated, the same if you are leaving after the show, take your time and do not be in a hurry. Overall the facility is in great shape, the atmosphere is decent for the performance (don't tell my wife that) and one will enjoy the experience. Again, you will only be let down if you do not like singing, dancing and acting.
The buffet was amazing, you can go online to see what is on the menu. I think out of everything we tried only one dish was so so and that is likely a personal preference.
I recommend this place for a date night or a company function.

Stage west used to be one of my favorite place however the last two shows are not good at all. The last show was so bad that we left the place during intermission. I hope the management read this and bring the good shows back

Went here with a large group for Legally Blonde the Musical. Catering staff were amazing and provided great service even with a full house! Food was excellent. Not to mention, the show was hilarious!

We saw "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder".The show was outstanding. Great singing and acting. The service was also great. The food left a lot to be desired though. Although it looked great, and there was plenty of it, it wasn't very good. Which is why I rated it down. The roast though, very very good.

We were at Fiddler on the Roof on Friday night the show was fabulous and the meal was excellent too lots of choices, the only problem my husband had was there was no potato's.
