This is summer time, a ton of local growers selling flowers and potted herbs at different age - some still very small with only a few leaves or a 3ft tall mature plant that will take up a nice spot in your home. Local cheese makers, honey collectors, sauce makers, and farmers who have fresh or frozen meats.

The dislike - truth is, most of the fresh veggies and fruits sold aren't planted and sold by the growers there. The sellers bought the veggies and fruits from a local food distributor - who we can't really trace.

Great layout! Parents of littles can easily get around with a stroller. Good variety of vendors, produce, flowers and the bagel sandwiches are incredible!

Makes for a nice morning outing! Parking at Union Depot is on weekend rate of $4. Not bad!

Had two large aisles enclosed by an open air structure, so you can go when its raining, and a very modest valet cost to drop your car off right in front of it.

Good variety of fresh produce, indoor succulents (decorative cactus), and both MN frozen meats along with hot food while you walk.

I get dragged to these and wouldn't go unless Im dragged, but I did honestly enjoy this one, it was a rainy day and I was impressed with the valet and structure to stay dry and comfortable.

Would recommend if your going to try a local Farmer Market.

Good place to get plants and warm food but at this time of year it doesn't have much to offer. I think next time I head there later in the year they will have a better selection and I can rate it better. All in all it's a nice place for stuff from local farmers.

Pretty awesome assortment of foods and more. Found some excellent BBQ sauce and Spicy Honey Mustard. Priced fair for home made. Meats are a bit more than I would like but seems to be mostly organic.

Products for sale were a great quality. All the vendors were very friendly and helpful. They had many samples to try. There were some good foodstands selling hot food as well as cold stuff like dairy products. A must visit place if you have a Saturday to burn.

This is the best example of city planning I have seen in years. A city block was converted into a very well laid out farmers market. Trucks can back right upto the vending area. There is no need to move them blocks away and cat produce to a stand. The Aisles of the market are laud or with brick pavers. The entire market area is covered with a roof with built in skylights. No need to worry about rain and the elements. All of the produce we saw looked wonderful.

By far my favorite local market! The vendors are incredibly knowledgeable, the produce is reasonably priced, there's always a fabulous seasonal selection, and I can't not pick up a bouquet of flowers (usually under $13, quality blooms, last at least a week with care, and the arrangements are stunning--they'll even do weddings). Definitely prefer to park at the Depot train station lot. It's $2 during market hours and is easy in, easy out and a very short walk to the market. Just beware construction and road closures on all sides this summer.

Such an adorable market with perfect products and plenty of other goodies. Just the right size for an hour or so of strolling. I get my hanging flowers there every year around Mother s Day

Pros: Lots of vendors, year round, fun atmosphere

Cons: can be difficult to find parking (depending on how far you want to walk), cramped due to space and attendance, not dog friendly.

Really enjoyed it. It's a smaller market compared to Minneapolis but everyone was friendly and they had everything i was hoping to find. Didn't have enough arms to carry everything I would have liked to purchase.

I love this place. You can get all sorts of vegetables, cheese, meat, eggs, honey, flowers, and on Saturdays you can get milk. Also recently there has been a hot bao buns stand, which I would highly recommend. Being cash.

Glory be, I'd lived in MN for 27 yrs of my ancient life and never had I visited this place in operation. Parking? What, either pay or pray. Construction everywhere, roads blocked, it was a pain in the buttocks.
Produce, baked goods, flowers and miscellaneous goods were great. Reasonable prices. It's definitely a circus on a busy day in August.

As it has for decades, the St. Paul farmers market offers a great selection of fresh produce at super low prices. Garden plants, meat and cheese, condiments and baked goods are also available. Odds of meeting a neighbor are high. One of five stars withheld because parking is tough to find; go on Sunday when street parking is free.

Since I'm from St. Paul I'm obviously partial but I can't imagine a better farmers market than St. Paul Farmers Market. I mean the amount of locally grown, in-season vegetables and fruits is amazing. Plus there are multiple meat, cheese, honey and maple syrup vendors. All at a reasonable price. Everyone is very nice and friendly and going above and beyond to keep safe during Covid with contactless credit card readers and everyone is wearing a mask. I know the joke is that St. Paul is boring but I for one am just fine with that if boring includes the ability to have a few hours on a weekend morning shopping in open air and enjoying the fruits of hard-working, honest folks. Consider me thankful. Oh and please keep St. Paul boring....please.

Great options that reflect seasonable availability of produce, flowers, and other products. not too big, not too small, this is the Goldilocks of farmers markets. Can be a tough place to park, but lots of options in the area.

I live right by Farmers Market & CHS Field... I love the market with all fresh flowers, veggies & meat . Never had an issue with any purchase yet. I over heard people complain about parking... however it's not my place to say since I don't park. I do recommend the market to anyone who wants fresh & homegrown!!!

Best market in town. Only local (within 60 miles) with primarily farm fresh produce (some soaps and crafts but not much). Same vendors return year after year so you get to know them - and they get to know you.
This is our standard Sunday morning adventure all summer and fall until frost!
