Sofitel Paris La Défense Review

Services at this hotel was excellent with very friendly and helpful staff throughout the day / evening. The hotel itself is a little tired and could use a renovation.

On the whole good to note some elements of the furniture a little damaged and taken exit of its lodging in our room luxury.
Topissime breakfast!

I come for a long time at Sofitel de la Defense, as soon as I have a meeting in the area. It's a safe bet and I'm never disappointed, although I think the hotel is getting a little older.

The welcome, the service, the friendliness of the staff a real pleasure.
Always taking care of you without it being "harassment" it's really very pleasant
the room very pleasant and well equipped.
I would have liked a kit to brush your teeth ...

Always perfect. This is the reference of this type of establishment.

Nice service and staff, but expected more perks as of a 5 star hotel.

Very convinient with direct access to Paris historical downtown. For those who are frequent Sofitel customers the room are smaller compared to the one located out of Paris area. The hotel shows some stigmates due to high usage. Good sign of as customers loved place. Need to be refreshed, this my personal opinion. Very friendly employees, top services ! I'll be back

The stay was wonderful and pleasant, however we have found a few issues that could be addressed....

* There was no baby changing facilities downstairs in the hotel whilst having a drink in the lounge area.

* We asked for a recommended restaurant that is child friendly and was offered a restaurant in Pont de Neully. We got there and they didn't have any baby high chairs. It is hard travelling with a baby on a tube and walk to find the place to be turned away and find an alternative restaurant.I would recommend that if a guest asks specifically for a child friendly restaurant that caters for high chairs, that you contact the restaurant as a service to check availability.

* We only had 2 small containers available as milk for our coffee in the bedroom. The milk/cream barely enough for 1 coffee. Appalling as we had to ask for milk and even order coffee to our room at silly price of 19 euros. I would also suggest to include biscuits on the side as per any other hotel we have been to.

Was mainly on business...so not too much time in the room.
unfortunatley I had to wait a while to get my room on arrival even though we had requested early check in.

Hotel without surprise (no bad surprise!),
Conform to the usual Sofitel quality (Very professional staff, clean and functional room, impeccable service)

Outside the hotel, very pleasantly surprised by the defense, calm and almost clean, visit the roof of the great arch with the sun and without tourists a pleasure.

Stay 4 nights on honeymoon. I booked another hotel at the same time, and when I asked in advance by email, there was no reply from this hotel. I doubted the quality as a five star at this point.

[To check in]
I went from the airport to the hotel by taxi. The roads around the hotel were intricate, and even if a taxi came near the hotel, it took a long time to make detours.

The staff response was very well checked in without any problems. As you will see later, the quality of the response varies from staff to staff, and in the case of staff with a poor response, you can only receive a fixed response.

[During your stay]
The difference in the amount of amenities was incomprehensible. There is one water in spite of staying with two people. Amenity was only body soap and shampoo, and there was no body lotion and hair conditioner. I thought it was a problem with the plan I booked, but on the next day extra water was purposely brought to my room and the amenities increased.

The variation of breakfast was abundant, the staff and the response were very good, and I enjoyed eating well. There is nothing to say about breakfast. Therefore, the amenity problem was a big deal among us.

I arranged for a taxi to the airport. Although it took a long time for the taxi to come, I was able to feel secure by reporting the reasons for taking time and the circumstances.

The staff were very guest free and the room was neat and well cleaned. Also the breakfast was well arranged. However the room was not 100% soundproof as promised and the bed creaked. The audio system was also outdated, so you cannot use it with the latest devices.

As always, I am a fan of this hotel and the team in place.

For a five star hotel do not believe the experience was the best. The lifts didn't work and reception for checking in over crowded. Breakfast was good.

I was only one night at Sofitel La Defense, so I can not really give a detailed review. But I would have expected more from a superior room in a 5 star hotel. It was ok from the size and clean it was. But the rain shower was e.g. already not quite okay and it came out only a thin beam. In addition, the shower wall was so unfavorably placed, that you half the bathroom when showering under water. There was shower gel and shampoo, but no body lotion, also unusual for a 5 star. Pleasant check-in and the express checkout. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating. Too bad I found that there was no option for a simple breakfast. Either the 27 Euro buffet or even more expensive breakfast in the room. I would have liked just a cereal or a yogurt and a tea or coffee. After all, you could make tea and coffee for free in the room.
So I would recommend this hotel in itself, but it does not find the price-performance ratio appropriate.

I loved that place, i wan't to go again in my life. The rooms have very good arrangement & excelent service's. They also given me a gift when i'm going to leave the hotel. Having a great experience there with my friends and family members.

Excellent hotel, great location, caring staff, there are several other hotels in defense, I have not tried them but I highly recommend the sofitel suite.

This hotel obviously deserves five stars as it is a French five star standard. But the decor is dated, it does not have the services of a five-star like a pool, the catering is very average, the staff is not very committed. Disappointed

Very nice hotel a bit fancy but otherwise everything beautiful free wifi all top, only to be recommended.

In quite area , services are good, price is not bad. However the breakfast is horrible !!

Recently renovated hotel great for visiting Paris a real 5 star at decent prices next to metro line 1 accessible to all places of interest I recommend.

A room for three hundred euros, but then breakfast is not clear whether it is included or not. In the end they charge us 37 euros for each breakfast! You have a coffee and a croissant 37 euros!

The location and facilities were not as high as 5 stars and the hotel space was very small, but breakfast was excellent (no quantity) excellent

Very nice 4 star hotel. The rooms are slightly older than I expected for a hotel with 5 star acclaim, but what the rooms lack the friendly, outgoing and welcoming staff most definitely makes up in. Continue the good work staff of the Sofitel, I will be back soon.

The staff were attentive and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice and offered sufficient varieties.

Good base for first time visit in Paris. Close to metro. Friendly staff-especially the servers during breakfast.

Hotel in renovation restaurant to avoid but very correct breakfast bedding is top spacious room

Would be great for a 4 star hotel. Closet was pretty scuffed up and dirty. Room service came in even when we had a sign out to request privacy. Otherwise decent location near the train with spacious rooms(for Paris). Just beware that taxis and Uber may get lost as the entrance is underground and very hard to see for vehicles.

Reception, valet parking, attentive waiters. Close to the metro, nickel rooms. I highly recommend.

Stayed here back in November 2018. I had a wonderful time. The staff were all welcoming and accommodating from the receptionist, waiters, bar attendants, and room service. Thank you for a delightful experience for a 1st time visit to Paris. I'll definitely recommend and stay here again.

Very beautiful establishment. Very warm welcome. It feels "like home" thanks to the entire staff of each service. Go there you will not be disappointed.

The ambience and controlled access of the entire hotel is top notch.

I worked for 35 years in the catering industry and this was the "dream". the service and attention from all the staff was absolutely first class. The food, diner, breakfast and lunch were of very high standard.
I would recommend this wonderful hotel to any one.

Your hotel is professional from you walk in to you leave

It's alright but the interior seems a bit old (not in an antique way but just poorly furnished) and the entrance is very hard to find when getting over by car. Reception and concierge staffs were lovely and it is in prime location.

I think the location of the hotel is great, very close to my office.
I do find the menu in the restaurant should be updated with more vegetarian options.

It is my first choice hotel for La Defense.

Quirky decor, very friendly staff, with excellent service. Junior suite not as grand or spacious as exected

We were very well received. On our arrival, contrary to our request, a room with two single beds was proposed to us. We had made it clear during the booking that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The host then apologized and then offered us a luxury suite as an apology. Spacious room, Hermes products, impeccable cleanliness, bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast was at the rendezvous: buffet with a wide choice of salty and sweet! The staff, with little care, but not impressive, was listening to our desires.We will return with pleasure. To emphasize the kindness of the staff! We are pleased.

Happy with our stay. Everything went perfectly well. Staff attentive, available and charming.

Good rooms, very friendly staff, unfortunately a little expensive. But is still in the frame for Paris.

1. My stay was charged twice and I have been refunded when I checkout.
2. The bar was supposed to be open 7 days/week but according the reception it was exceptionally closed.

there is no door in the shower room that makes the floor always wet.

Nice hotel and staff, but it is around 15 min from Central Paris. This is in a mainly business district.

Good continental cuisine, the menu in the lobby restaurant is recommended for a business lunch
