Mid sized pub with a few TVs, heated smokers area, clean toilets. Good selection of drinks. The food is average at best - stay away from the pizza as it is really poor. The chicken goujons are okay and the potato wedges actually great. Look for changing activities like pub quiz on Tuesdays etc. No space to park but there is a car park just across the bridge.
Staff was 100% awesome! Our company had a night there with food tonight and when pizza came, I made the joke "where's the gluten free pizza?" (I can't have high quantity of wheat) to which usually staff replies with a nervous laugh and apologizes and tells me they don't have it.... But not Sober Lane! When I made that joke, the dude just turned around and readily asked what pizza I wanted haha he blew my mind lol well done Sober Lane!!

Food and drinks we so good - Nachos and sex on the beach cocktails in the photos! No pressure to leave. You get your full time and the staff were very friendly. Once our time was up we finished our drinks out the back.
Great night was had with friends in sober lane Tuesdays= quiz night even though we came second last but it's the effort that counts! DJ Patrick Ahern was also hilarious an entertaining
Food is unreal!! Only disappointment is that it only opens at 4, so we have to eat somewhere else at lunch time.
Nice bar with plenty of seating. They do good pizza and have a great selection of beers. On a Sunday every drink you buy will result in a coin toss with bar tender, if you guess right the next drink is free. Place will be packed during sports events, if that's your thing come on down, if not best to avoid until afterwards.
Definitely miss the sober lane. Good people, good times, and good food. They definitely have a sense of humour and make a cold day seem bright.
Food is lovely, and size of venue is perfect, not too big not too small. Music could be a bit quieter as it's hard to chat, but that could apply to all pubs.
Great place with great food, prices and service. Staff very friendly and quickly seated a surprise group of 6 and agreed to let us pay separately even though it was farely busy. Would recommend

This place just ain't what it used to be. Still a nice spot but food is pretty poor these days.
Seems like this place isn't as great as it used to be. Came in the other day for food, it was a Thursday and it was early so really it wasn't busy at all. Sat down and was ignored by the two bar staff, so eventually went up to order food. It took 40 minutes for a burger and wings to come out. Burger would have been delicious if the bun wasn't over-toasted and the meat wasn't over-done. The wedges were lovely, but the chicken wings were sub-par... Used to be a huge fan of the place years ago, but there's a lot better places in town nowadays have have better service and food...
Very fun and lively place! Great music and DJs. Staff is low key but quick and efficient. Overall a pretty young vibe but not exclusively so by any means. A great place to go and dance but also not hard to find seating when needed!!

Great lively bar beside the river. A great pint and a simple but tasty food menu. There is always something happening here 7 nights a week. Tuesday nights is the weekly pub quiz hosted by Pat, starts between 9 and 9.30 and is always great craic!

Good Pints, Good Food, Great Craic. Went in for a pint after a work outing and ended up playing Bingo. Great fun but not for snowflakes.

At first we thought "Hmm Cosy pub". Really settling in with my friends and thought it was cosy enough to sit ourselves for the night, that was UNTIL I had to use the loo and was accosted by a large poster of a woman's bare arse just outside the loo's. EUWW felt so degraded by the blatant sexism & chauvanistic poster so we felt too uncomfortable to stay after that and hotfooted it out of there quickly. Pity too as we had just made ourselves comfy for the night. God they need to take down that tacky degrading cheap awful poster. EUWWWWWWW!
