Snow biking rocked! I haven t been able to ski the past five years due to a really bad knee that needs a total knee replacement. I tried snow biking at Snowmass after learning about it online! I learned it quick and was able to do green and blue runs with minimal to no discomfort!! Instructor helps you with fundamentals and how to use gondolas and regular lifts! Highly recommend to anyone, not use physically challenged! Super Fun!

Great ski resort in the country. Very helpful and friendly staff everywhere trying to make sure you are safe and enjoying the activities. Lots of resorts and restaurant in the valley to choose from. Yet I went there during early season so not many trails are open. This ski area is not that beginner friendly. So if you are quite new, maybe buttermilk is a better place for you.

Awesome hill. Great terrain, minimal crowds, and lots of side-country to enjoy with your friends. The tree lines could use some glading but there was fun to be had around every corner. In my mind, Snowmass was the best of the Aspen hills.

Snowmass village is so cool. 11,835ft is the most unbelievable thing you can experiences. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for something that you will remember for the rest of your life. It stayed in Aspen but next time I'm staying at SnowMass village.

Big but awkward to get around the mountain. Blacks are blues. Several flat areas where you have to push. Facilities were packed during lunch. I don't think it's worth the extra amount of driving time to get here.

Great ski resort with a variety of terrain for beginners to experts. Quick lifts and little waiting time. Only didn't get a higher eating as unfortunately this season there was very little snow which is of course not the resorts fault.

Lots of options to ski- there are many trails and lifts for all different levels. The ski school here is phenomenal. I have taken many lessons here, both ski and snowboard, and every lesson has been fun and informative. All mountain staff has always been friendly and helpful in all four mountains. There is also a free shuttle between mountains. Lots of dining options, both for young people and for families. I have been coming here every year for 10 years and it never disappoints! I have skied many other places but Aspen-Snowmass is still one of my favorites, and I come back every year.

This was my 2nd time ever skiing. We stayed at a hotel in Basalt and it was a 30 min drive to Snowmass, which was not far. The rentals and ski lift we bought over the phone same day and everything went well. Everyone was super friendly!!! The only complaint that I have is that we pulled up to valet and we asked "is this where we go to get our rentals" and he said yes. you can valet here for $10, over there for $5 or the free parking garage over there. We said oh $10 .. no problem. The credit card was charged $50. When we went back to pick up the car and asked why he said its $10/hour. Thanks buddy you definitely didn't say that when we pulled up.

I enjoyed this awesome resort, even though I am not very good at ski.
Here are some pros and cons I noticed:
+There were plenty of ski trails and lift options
+Snow was clean and the runs were well-groomed
+The staff was very helpful and friendly
+There were no crowds even during the high season
- Food and beverage are pricey here, so I recommend having a big breakfast at home.
What I like the most about this place? The natural beauty of the mountains. They are amazing in every season!

Snowmass has an excellent selection of runs ranging from Greens to Blacks, so there really is something for everyone; between the shops at Snowmass Mall and Snowmass Base Village, it's easy to pick up lunch or most anything you'd need for the day.

Very confusing I literally went to the top trying to find the next blue. There was only black diamonds. I am not experienced. I was alone. And I got down just fine seriously everybody there was so nice and whenever I was down people would come over and check on me and the views are incredible. I almost died but had a great time doing it. Seriously it needs better signage tho that was ridiculous.

Great resort I visit each year. Snowmass is a well run mountain. The staff and ski patrol have always been polite and cheerful. The mountain has terrain for every type of skier/boarder. I tend to look for more extreme terrain and they have some up off the cirque poma-lift. They also have plenty of easy terrain in Elk Camp area for beginners. If you are wanting only double blacks you'll probably be looking elsewhere after two days, but there is enough plenty to explore. When my kids were learning to ski I had them in Powder Panda's at the treehouse. I've had my kids in lessons at Copper, Vail, Steamboat, Beaver Creek and hands down they have the best program at Steamboat. The only issue I had is they fed my vegetarian kid a hotdog.

I grew up here and I love this place. It is breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous scenery no matter what time of year you visit. Amazing hiking, fishing, camping, kyacking, spelunkering, rock climbing, hang gliding and every sort of outdoor mountain area sports and recreation you can think of in the summer; downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, sledding, tubing, camping and more in the winter. Originalky a silver mining tiwn with anazing character abd charm filled with wuaint little businesses and gmrestaurants with home cooked fair alingvwith a sprinkling of top notch cuisine it has evolved into an outrageously overpriced playground for the ruch abd famous and a home for progressuve liberaks with no concept of what it neabs to be a patriot or believer in the constitutional republic of law America was envisioned as by our founders. Over the last 25 years it has become filked with wealthy liberals that advicate socialism but complain sbout having to oay $30/hour or more for their maids and landscaping maintenance of their 10 million dollar homes many of which wete built on properties where historic Victorian homes or log mining cabins were destroyed and replaced wuth contemporary architecture that eventualky all but destroyed what it was they moved to Aspen for: its character, charm, hiistory and unique backdrop in the Rocky Mountains, just west of the Continental Divide. It has lost much of its unique and awesome ambiance over the years as big money has purchased up the homes and businesses and created a mountain town version of Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills complete with the snooty rich and their politics, one upsmanship, and absentee ownership that is de rigeur for people that can afford 5 or 6 homes across the globe. The outdoor activities still abound, but be prepared to pay too much for everything, everywhere you go. Aspen has the highest single day lift ticket price in America. A studio condominimum in downtown at the base of Aspen Mountain (Ajax) less than 400 square feet goes for well over a million dollars. Single wide trailers here sell for over a million in either of the two traiker parks in Aspen. Homes with almost no property are in the millions. Homes wit property anywhare from 5 to 50 million dollars and it keeps going up up up.Cheap single rooms in the 2* older hotels are often well over $300 a night in the off season and 4* or 5* accomodations can run anywhere from $1,500 for a small room with a double bed to $15,000 or more a night for a contemporary designer home durungboeak season. If you can afford it, is it worth it? Yes! But I admit I am a bit biased.

Great skiing! I did not have a good experience purchasing a lift ticket. There was no line to get tickets and it took the person behind the counter close to an hour. The lady at the counter asked me to spell my last name 5 times and it was a terrible experience. Other than the purchasing a lift ticket it was a great place to ski.
