Fantastic place and really love the Noah's Ark exhibition - my daughter just loved it - she is 5!

Additionally the museum is one of the finest on the West Coast for exploring and capturing the Jewish experience in America and its impact on the USA and the world. Highly recommend!

Fantastic museum that offers a variety of exhibits. The Noah's Ark exhibit is amazing with multiple creative activities and awesome upcycled art. The place is well kept and the staff is friendly. There're free parking and beautiful patios and picnic areas.

Skirball Cultural Center is a very small museum. The RBG exhibit is exceptional but there are not a great deal of exhibits. The staff is exceptional and have a great disposition. Great location and very good parking. This is definitely worth the annual membership.

I loved this place! It's beautiful with different exhibits and a lovely lily pond. They have wheelchairs if you need one. Very friendly staff. They do not have handicapped accessability in all bathrooms....the halls are very narrow for a wheel chair. The bathroom situation should be addressed but wouldn't keep me from visiting again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the interactive Noah's arc exhibit for kids followed by a musical performance where the kids got to join in with drums of their own. The museum celebrates the Jewish community in America but it isn't pushy/preachy. That's a separate part of the museum. Don't miss it though, the halocaust exhibit is particularly moving. The cafe was very nice as well. Easy to find parking and the gift shop is stocked with fun toys.

From the minute you walk in you are greeted by super friendly, super nice people. That is very important for a museum. I learnt so much about the Jewish culture and the two side exhibitions were also incredible. When I needed a cup of tea, I went and paid a very reasonably priced $1.50 for a lovely organic cuppa which is rare in tourist places where they can hike up prices. I am from London but will definately visit again when I come back. I even work in museums and think it would be a magical place to work!

I was only in one area for a conference but was happy to finally get to check this place out. The parking was free and plentiful and the area we had our conference in was spacious and pretty. They catering on the other hand was pretty meh but I don't know if that was due to the location or due to what the conference chose.

Jim Henson Exhibit: spectacular and wonderful is all I can say to describe it. It definitely brought a tear to my eye from nostalgia. Some notable displays were some original puppets, including the first Kermit.

Such a hidden gem that alot of people I don't think know about! We went on a Thursday during free admission day. We arrived around 11:15 to get inline for the ark tickets. We bought a lunch so the kids could sit at the tables while we took turns as adults standing in line. Tickets opened up at 11:50ish. We got into the first group! But even if you don't you can do the other activities first. The kids loved all the interactive play on the ark! Such a fun experience. We will definitely be going back. 1.5 hrs was plenty of time to hang at the ark exhibit. We then went to the dig area. Which was well organized. Then went to the craft area. Which I m not sure is always opened but you can check ahead of time. After that the kids were done and we left. Also parking is free so this place is a win win! Little bit if a drive from OC but definitely worth it if you haven't been!

Went to see the Noah's Ark for my 2 year old. There were only two things that was not excellent. 1) they put you in time slots. This isn't bad, but I did feel a bit rushed because of that. Which led to 2) my kid didn't want to leave.

Other than that, it was excellent!

Attended the NAACS Sisters Gala for Spelman last night. The venue is lovely but the path to the ballrooms is not well thought out. Unless you come through the garage, be prepared to go on a journey through a garden path you will likely only find by chance, and ladies, if your shoes are meant more to be seen than they are for walking, forget about it. Again, nice establishment. But strange layout.

I visited with my three year old, and the Noah's ark play area is fantastic. She loved all of it. We walked through some of the other areas and they looked really interesting. I would love to go back and see the rest of the exhibits.

We came here for the children's exhibits. The Noah's Ark section was amazing. There were so many things to touch, climb, and enjoy. We also enjoyed digging for buried items in one of the many dig sites on top of the museum. Finally, we made a craft in the craft room at the bottom of the museum.

We briefly saw some of the other areas outside the children's section. All the exhibits were interesting and educational.

Nice facilities available for rent for weddings and other large gathering type events. The museum itself was a little smaller than I was expecting honestly, but if you're looking to learn more about Jewish history this is going to be a great resource to you. They do seem to be committed to showcasing puppetry and fostering children's creativity as well, which gets a huge plus in my book!

This is one of the cultural gems in Los Angeles that every resident and tourist must visit. The different exhibits are well chosen and thought-provoking and leave rooms for inquiry and call to action. The Notorious RBG is a great example that was worth every minute and penny I spent. Truly inspirational and aspirational!

About Skirball Cultural Center

The Skirball Cultural Center is a unique and dynamic cultural institution located in Los Angeles, California. With a mission to explore the connections between Jewish heritage and American democratic ideals, the Skirball offers visitors an array of exhibitions, music performances, film screenings, readings and talks, classes, family programs and an interactive family destination inspired by the Noah's Ark story.

One of the most notable features of the Skirball Cultural Center is its commitment to showcasing diverse perspectives on Jewish culture. Through its exhibitions and programming, visitors can explore everything from traditional Jewish art forms to contemporary expressions of Jewish identity. Recent exhibitions have included "Leonard Bernstein at 100," which celebrated the life and legacy of one of America's greatest composers; "Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg," which explored the career of one of America's most influential Supreme Court justices; and "Black Is Beautiful: The Photography of Kwame Brathwaite," which highlighted a lesser-known chapter in African American history.

In addition to its exhibitions, the Skirball also hosts a wide range of music performances throughout the year. From classical concerts featuring world-renowned musicians to intimate jazz shows in their outdoor courtyard space overlooking Los Angeles' scenic hillsides - there is something for everyone at this cultural center.

Film lovers will also find plenty to enjoy at the Skirball Cultural Center. Their film program includes both classic films as well as new releases that reflect their mission statement. They often host Q&A sessions with filmmakers or experts after screenings so that audiences can engage with these works on a deeper level.

For those looking for more educational opportunities or hands-on experiences with Jewish culture - there are plenty available through classes offered by skilled instructors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with others. Classes range from cooking workshops where participants learn how to make traditional dishes like challah bread or matzo ball soup; dance lessons exploring different styles such as Israeli folk dancing or klezmer music; lectures on topics ranging from history to current events related specifically towards Judaism.

Families will love visiting this cultural center too! There is an interactive family destination inspired by Noah's Ark story where children can climb aboard life-size animal replicas while learning about environmental conservation efforts around them through fun activities like storytelling sessions or puppet shows.

Overall, if you're looking for an enriching experience that celebrates diversity while exploring connections between cultures - then look no further than The Skirball Cultural Center!
