An outstanding visit to this hotel. The warmth of the staff and the service levels are excellent.
The rooms are a little dated to be honest and could do with a makeover, but they are of a traditional nature, but some areas of the bathroom were a little grubby, and the furniture within the rooms a little scraped and damaged now. BUT this wouldn't stop us from going there again.
The pool is sublime, and the location is perfect for venturing out.
I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Shangri-La hotel Bangkok is the best place really good service

Systemic problem with staff attitude - gruff, no smiles, clueless, indifferent. Look at recent TripAdvisor reviews - they all point to a steady deterioration at this property. If you don t arrest this, you will probably hit a tipping point beyond which you ll have to work very hard to restore your positioning and trust in this market.

The hotel was in a very good position we enjoyed our stay very much and would consider staying there again next time we visit Bangkok

Another peaceful and enjoyable visit to the hotel. All staff happy and keen to make my stay as trouble free as possible. Always my first choice when coming to Bangkok.

Excellent hotel, nice well kept rooms overlooking the river, nice well equipped gym and the bar are overlooking river. Shang palace as always is excellent!

Next cafe gets over filled by 7-7:30am on weekdays for breakfast with a long question. The cafe extension which is opened in such cases has much lesser spread which is not fair for the patrons.

Our entire experience at this hotel was one of total satisfaction for our small group of six. The staff, amenities, and service was of the highest standard and the location on the river made it so enjoyable.
Thank you to all that made our 3 day stay in Bangkok so special. We will return.

We were at your hotel for our tenth anniversary celebration after redeeming a night's stay at your hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the chocolates and petals on the bed. Your friendly and attentive staff really made our short stay really memorable. We must come back - I told my wife =)

A first class service provided by all members of staff from our arrival on 22.11.19 to our departure on 08.12.19.
A special thanks must go to all at the Horizon Club, all pool staff and lifeguards and those at Next 2 who looked after us during our lunch every day.

Great service, good room size, and great breakfast. Good location with very beautiful river view from the room, and great swimming pool and great SPA. Definitely recommended to all type of travelers.

CHI THE SPA SERVICE WAS EXCELLENCE.
We had sense of care 90 minutes. It was very nice and relax massage which served professional techniques by New. And the receptionist are freindly and helpful so much especially Nue Cake Emmy Mint.

The staff were amazing, they went above and beyond for us during our stay.

I iust have a chance to use hotel facility, the Health Club. Its location, scenery and all weigh't training equipments are all superb Inside the locker, all the necessary amenities are all provided. I met fevw staffs here; namely, Nuch, Ice, Pupae, Mint, Pop, Pro, Aum ;they do exceptional five-star rvices and good hospitality. Thanks for their suggestion during my gym time. All in all, HealthClub and hotel are the best!!

Rooms are run down - not shangri level and certainly not the price i would pay in bangkok for such a poorly maintained hotel. Staff were outstanding - everything was up to standard except the run down rooms and everything within the rooms. Even the towels were old and stiff.

Wonderful hotel. My wife and I had our honey-moon at Shangri-la on June 2015. We were kindly received with a glass of fresh tea, and a orchid amulet. The rooms are great, the river sight very inspiring. The room service without a flaw. The whole team ready to help. The breakfast and the 17 o'clock drink remarkable. Were are longing to return!

The atmosphere is all for food.
The interior is nice too..

I have stayed in the Krungthep wing for over 10 years. Even during this very difficult time, the welcome, the staff at reception, in housekeeping and in the restaurants has remained absolutely lovely, yet there is no question that the health emergency is taken very seriously with temperature taking, hand washing and cleaning taken extremely seriously

Booked a club room and arrived early so my room wasnt ready. They decided to put me in a deluxe standard room instead which was not the room I paid for. Ive stayed in club room before and this room was subpar. Adding some L' Occitane toiletries was suppose to make it feel like a club room. Ridiculous. Wont waste my money here again.

Love the service! After having dinner at Salathip we wanted to go have a drink outside of the hotel so we stopped by at the concierge and got a good recommendation. It was a great evening for us all

Went there for a convention! The staff was very helpful and everything ran smoothly! (thank you Thitima!) We needed help with an external restaurant booking and the F&B manager Gian was very helpful. The housekeeping service was very attentive and did a fantastic job during my two week stay! Breakfast is very diverse (continental, Thai, Indian, Japanese, dumplings) and also offers Asian breakfast food. I was very enthusiastic do have curry for breakfast prepared by an Indian chef.

Me and my friends stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Over all we were satisfied. But we were a little bit disappointed about the menu for breakfast. The menu was same at first day till our last breakfast and there was no traditional food served.

The Shangri-La in Bangkok is one of our favorite hotels in the world. The service was very good, but there were a few misunderstandings in the restaurants and for us we feel service has slipped.

Nam in reception was excellent she arranged a birthday cake for our son and was very attentive a sweet.

Checkin was a very long wait

We were treated exceptionally well from beginning to the very end, by everyone. From the Resident Manager to the cleaners. You should be proud of your ability to keep the staff so service minded and welcoming in these challenging CVID-19 times.

We had an extended checkout time due to changes of flights, no problem. Also a big and welcomed surprise with assistance awaiting us at the airport, compliments of the Concierge.

We could not fault anything, and will be back in better times.

I have also written a review on Trip Advisor, and given you top marks, I am a seasoned traveler and it is very rare indeed to experience such service level.

Over-all, the experience was great!!! The room was great, location was ok, but not as centrally located as other hotels, but still quite accessible. The facilities were superb. Service was above board. Only regret was eating at Shang Palace, honestly, quality; taste; presentation is very disappointing. Compared to Shang Palace; Canton Road & Summer Palace here in Manila, there is no comparison, Shangrila Manila wins by a mile. Salathip was ok, but the order takers forgot to ask the level of spiciness the guest can take, since we obviously were tourist. So in the end, our tongues were burning after just a few bites. But aside from the food outlets, Shagrila-Bangkok is a great place to stay if you prefer a more quite side of the city during your visit.

The restaurant that I stayed in Bangkok four years ago. The Chao Phraya River seen from the room is completely different from the river view when I went to Bangkok this year to take a boat ride. The 5-star hotel is very different. Yeah.

I went to dinner cruise. The rice is just 20,000 won in Korea and there is one blue fish in the sashimi place.
The view is really good, especially when you go past the dawn temple.

Food, service was great. however experience was let down by an aging property and also slightly less than average finishing on building works.

Also a master light switch should be available at the entrance door. i had to go to 3 different places to turn on all lights.

i also had a faulty door bell that seem to ring all the time in the afternoon.

Perfect haven amongst the crazy streets of Bangkok.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful view over the waterfront, the pool is a nice place to cool off after a day walking around seeing the temples.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Shangri- la in Bangkok. As always the service was fantastic and everyone was so friendly and eager to satisfy in way they could. All the horizon club staff were brilliant both Aim and Mint were great and helped us with our future reservations at the hotel. We are back there on the 25th March and are excited to be returning. We also are scheduled for a further six week stay in 2019 and again very much looking forward to staying at the hotel, the horizon club staff make our stay extra special.

The food served at breakfast and Lunch open buffet is out of this world, variety is amazing, and it s an experience you d be waiting for day after day, rooms are spacious and mine had a nice side view of river and skyline by night, staff are very friendly and would go extra mile to meet your needs, all was great and very well organized, rarely you have such experiences that are flawless in life! You can have unlimited lobster on weekends, including a very nice buffet restaurant Friday evenings, and have a barbecue on the open barbecued for a warm barbecue. Highly recommended to enjoy the outdoor river

Hotel perfectly located in the city on the edge of Chao Phraya, it is accessible either by sky train, ferry and by car.
The decor is refined and luxurious. The services are top notch and the staff is very kind and professional. The variety of choices at breakfast is impressive. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. Very large and comfortable bed. The view of Chao Phraya and the skyscrapers is breathtaking. Wide choice of restaurant, 7 in total. Very nice lobby bar with a wide choice of cocktails and selection of Dry gin for amateurs.

A bit old and dated, in need of a refresh. Location isn't ideal to get around town.

Musty smells in room, wierd stains in the toilet plus loud music at night makes this a place to avoid if looking for some peace and quiet.

Majestic property with excellent staff. Great place to stay in Bangkok if you would like to be in a place that offers some calm and peace.

Everything from check in to check out was a super service. They value their customers and treat them well. Their standards are high.

Overall it was a good experience but you all need to work on getting rooms ready on time. We waited for over 3 hours to get our room. That is Not acceptable especially with the price we paid for the room.

Best hotel to stay. Fine breakfast, Chao Praya riverview.

Excellent staff. Great location. Good views of the Chao Phraya river. Breakfast buffet experience is not what you d expect from a Shangri La but entirely acceptable. Book with confidence.

In the shower area the water gets logged and doesn't drain off properly

Breakfast is salty. Great views of the pool and the trees. Lying on the bed, Pon Ha-chan. The pool is kids. It was great to see fireworks from the side of Siam, but the building was in front of the building, so the view was a little bit. It's safe to give a taxi number and a piece of paper to go to. Good location
