Salish is located at a perfect location and in abundance of nature. Staff is super responsive and courteous. Food quality is good but portions are relatively smaller. Rooms are newly renovated so very good quality and are spacious. They have drip coffee and I liked it. There is no gym or swimming pool, but they offer free day passes for Mount Sports and Fitness, it s a Old style gym but way better than small room gyms. Parking at Salish is limited but they offer free valet parking. There is Snoqualmie public parking across the road. Snoqualmie falls and trail is adjoining, so great walking every time. Overall very good pleasant experience.
So sad to hear of the grizzly death of the local girl a while ago. Still the local PD is great and the place is scenic AF. Though the coffee tasted a little fishy. 5 stars.
Beautiful location, great food, very nice amenities. We like two stay here on special occasions. The breakfast is legendary.
Finally a 5 star restaurant where you can have a quiet and quality meal. Great wait staff, attentive and your needs and desires. Worth the price.
We're loving staying at Salish. Staff are very kind, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the surrounding area is gorgeous.
All we did was eat at the restaurant but as far as the service and food everything was great and we'll worth the food
Overlooking the Snoqualmie falls, the lodge looks quite Christmassy in December.
This is a great place to get away for a weekend or vacation. The lodge is beautiful and the waterfall was exquisite. I would have rated it higher if it was possible. I highly recommend Salish Lodge & Spa and look forward to visiting again.
A very calming experience, easily spent 2 hours here but there was a wait to have brunch. We got there around 12:30pm but didnt get sat until 1:40pm. (The longer wait was bc we wanted to see out the window) But we could still have brunch which was why we went.
If you want a full meal make sure to come hungry! I had a cup of soup the seafood chowder, eggs Benedict and split the cherry pie. Along with biscuits which were awesome!
The best part had to be the pie which was super flakie which was perfect!
The view is pretty but honestly you can only see the forest and the top of the falls.
Overall a great meal!
Great views, good food and service, very high prices. Expect to pay about $35 per person for breakfast.
Nice quiet lodge next to a beautiful but crowded waterfall.
The Attic upstairs restaurant has an incredible view of Snoqualmie Falls, which is just below. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and great service after a spring hike to the base of the falls and back to the Lodge. The gift shop was fun too!
Went for a romantic gettaway, it was the perfect choice! Beautiful lodge, great senery and the sound of the falls from our room put a cherry on top! There was a mishap with our room, but the staff acted quickly to take care of the problem and were very kind. And, best of all, the rooms have jetted tubs!
If you plan to visit this hotel it is best to come in the spring when the rivers are full from the moutain snow melting and the falls are flowing at their peak. The view is amazing during this time of year.
The room and service were all delightful. The dining room for both dinner and breakfast was wonderful.
Had the most wonderful time the staff was amazing the food was over the top good (try the honey from heaven!) And seriously one of the best weekends of my life as I also got married here!
From the valet at the entrance to the rooms to the view, my husband and I had a 5 star experience at the Salish Lodge! The air was scented with a calming smell, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole place was very peaceful and quiet from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious from both the Attic and Dining Room restaurants, the spa was luxurious and calming, our room was clean and the tub was absolutely massive. My husband is 6'5" and it could have EASILY fit two of him! We went in October, the drive up was gorgeous and colorful with all the leaves showing off their best! We got lucky and had a couple of breathtaking sunsets over the falls as well. Room service menu also includes a menu for your dogs!
Salish lodge & spa is one of the best places iv stayed at. They provide valet parking for free over night and the cars are close enough that you won't be waiting anymore than a minute or two to get your car. The the lobby is warm and inviting. We stayed at a room with a spa bath and the room was one of the cleanest rooms iv stayed at. I do thorough bed bug searches when I stay at a hotel and this one didn't give me any doubts. They allow you to use the fireplace and although I wouldn't recommend it unless you know how to use one, it blows my mind that they would allow it and it's great . The spa bath in the room is awesome and not a cheap gimic like at other hotels in the city. The only downside to this room was that it was so large it never felt like it was warm enough even with central heating. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious but pricey. The in house honey is heavenly, you will see when you get there. Lastly the snoqualmie falls is truly worth seeing. You can't get close but the view is outstanding. To be able to view a waterfall from a cliff and see the hotel built by it is really something special. One of the best stays iv had. Just be aware there isn't alot to do in the area so just come for the night and see the falls in the morning.
Beautiful property located directly ontop of a massive majestic water fall with hiking trails and observation decks scattered around the hotel. Not only is the location amazing relaxing majestic, the rooks are perfectly designed and give u a beautify space desigbed with cabin style interior design that makee u feel comfortable the moment u enter. The room. On top of the amazing toom andnstaff service this hotel has the best sundsy brunch in seattle with the pankcakes and syrup made in house as weell as the oatmeal that people come from far to enjoy wail eating overlooking the beautiful watefall for the restuarant is located righ kn top the falls. The omdinner and wine selection is also world class. There js a great casino 10min away and amazing nature adventures to be had. If coming to seattle deve the 30 min out if rhe city and experiance what makes seattle Washington such a beautiful state. That will be a hotel experience u will not forget
What an impressive place!
However, when an impressive place is not managed well, you encounter problems everywhere. In our case, we decided to leave before unpacking our bags. We've travelled quite a lot and we're not the type to complain much, but after just an hour or so, here is what we had experienced:
Upon entry to our room, it was very stuffy & warm, even though it was quite pleasant outside. The bathroom had a lot of hair on the floor and even more on the window sill over the bathtub. The window - with a nice view of the waterfall - looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in some time.
The large TV in the main room wouldn't turn on. We reported the TV and bathroom issues, requested that the additional beds be rolled out and made (which should already have been done, given we were an evening arrival of 4), and went off to get something to eat.
The restaurant was very stuffy and hot. (I found it interesting that the hallways were cool and well ventilated, but the room and restaurant were not.)
My chicken pot pie was essentially a creamy soup with a crust floating on it. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he said it was "more like a stew". A burger one of us ordered had a big hair stuck to the bun. Two of the dishes had fresh looking food scraps on them. The service, while friendly, was quite slow. (We noticed that the people behind us were served the wrong pizza.)
We stopped into the gift shop before heading back to our room, but it appeared to be closing, since many of the lights were off, leaving the merchandise unlit, and there was a vacuum cleaner with cable coiled on the floor, blocking a display. The clerk assured us it was well before closing, but she had to be somewhere right after work, so she was just getting a head start. This, at an upscale lodge?!
We were annoyed by a strong smell of incense in the lobby and gift shop. To walk in from fresh air to a strong odor, and then to a stuffy room and even stuffier restaurant, was not very pleasant.
We returned to our stuffy room, where we noticed the foldup bed was still upright and the couch bed had also not been set up. Tired travellers who have driven all day from a ranch several hours north of Vancouver should have their accommodations ready for them!
There was a note from the staff saying the TV would now turn on, which it did..... to something I had never seen before: only the lower half of the screen! Not a reduced size picture, but the lower half of one, with the upper half black -- on every channel!
We decided to leave. Numerous things had added up to tell us there was not a very good work culture here. Management needs to be reviewed and a higher standard demanded. It's too nice a place to be operated so poorly.
We arrived at the Salish lodge on September 24 to have lunch and see the Falls as a beginning to our road trip. The Dining Room had a 15 minute wait. They were distancing customers. The staff wore masks and there was hand sanitizer. We looked around in the gift shop and my daughter bought a jar of honey. We were called to a table. The waitress Sally, was great. She served honey from heaven on our warm biscuits and was informative about making our way to Ellensburg. The food portions were large, so we had to go boxes packed up. Our waitress wore gloves the entire time. We had a great experience.
**The disappointment came when we arrived home from our road trip and saw on the news that the Lodge was closing due to a Covid outbreak that they had known about on September 23. We are getting tested today. I really wish they would have closed immediately upon knowing these details. With so many cases, and knowledge of the outbreak you put your guests at risk. I am hopeful our test will be negative. But there may be others with compromised immune systems, etc. and you are playing Russian Roulette with others lives. Not a good business decision.
Don t want to hike and enjoy nature today? Go there! :)
Just saw the gift shop and lobby. The lobby has a very cozy vibe!
Awesome place right by the Snoqualmie Falls with amazing food.
Nothing but quality food, lodging and service. If you want to get away for your anniversary or just an escape for the week/weekend this is the spot to do it. Each room has its own gas fireplace that provides warmth and comfort. Thank you so much to the staff at Salish, my wife and I will always remember it! Definitely looking forward to coming back.
It's a nice, fancy hotel and has all the things you'd expect from such an establishment. The falls are, of course, impressive. They can be a bit crowded, given this hotels proximity to Seattle, but the hotel itself is not crowded feeling at all.
Best place ever! It was our anniversary enjoyed our stay immensely! Definitely will stay here again.
Beautiful view of the falls. Can't recommend walking up the steep hill, but the walk down is worth it.
Went to see the falls. The lookout was closed so that was a bummer.
The room with the view of the waterfall was great! You couldn't see too much of it because the resort sits behind the falls, but we hiked down and took pictures. So it was no big deal. Great dining experience for dinner and breakfast too!
A very nice, if somewhat pricey, accommodations that sets itself near the historical and beautiful Snoqualmie Falls.
We were just passing through...but the lodge seemed to be very nice, and we'll kept.
Work training. We were in a small conference room but it had a projector and screen. The Salish team kept the fire place going and to coffee fully sticked. Great experience. We had lunch on site as well and they took care of refills an clean up with minimal intuitions. Another great experience at Salish.
Really romantic place. Falls were amazing, home down to the lower falls if you want. Spa, food, room was all good. Price is high.
Melissa B. at the attic made the extra effort to make the dining experience memorable.
Visited the Attic for cherry pie and coffee. Highly recommend it for the view out the windows
We went to the Attic and the amount of food we had was more than enough and quite tasty. We walked a bit outside to see the falls and warmed up with food. We will be back.
Love both the upstairs and downstairs restaurants. Good wine selection. Spectacular views.
Can't find a better spa, the tubs and steam room you can use before/after services are awesome and coed. Little pricey, but go in expecting so and you won't be disappointed.
The Attic, a restaurant at Salish, is one of my favorite places to go on a date. The food is excellent, the views are astounding, and the service it's wonderful. I've also had the joy of staying in one of their rooms and it was a truly delightful experience. A view of the river. A tub big enough for two. A wood burning fireplace in front of a luxurious bed. It was nothing short of magical. If you have the opportunity, go.
We did not get Spa treatment, dinner, or lodging here, but we did hike and visit both gift stores. The staff was very helpful and even directed us to an employee who was familiar with many Twin Peaks related spots in the surrounding area. I think her name was Emily? She was awesome and even gave us a small map with a list of famous filming locations. If you're interested in the beautiful falls OR Twin Peaks stuff, you should stop by!
Honestly the rooms, service, and location is worth the price
Dined at the attic. The view was amazing and luckily it wasn't busy. We had drinks and a couple lunches which were rather filling. The prices are pretty high and the types of food are limited but you're paying for the view. Went on a quick stroll down to the river bed right after to work off that meal.
Great place to stop and enjoy a fantastic water fall view while eating a good meal
This place is amazing! The falls are right there, the staff were super friendly, and everything was better than we could have hoped for :)
Our room was great, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the food was really good with generous portions.
Location was great, with a perfect view overlooking the Snoqualmie falls. The room was amazing, and the wood fireplace was a great feature. Dinner and breakfast service was exceptional. 10/10 would stay again.
Everyone should have this experience just once! Great room, view, spa, and amazing food.
The views are going to blow you away! We went early in the morning and the fog was heavy but the crowd was small. Gift center was closed when we went.
A beautiful hotel! We stayed here after our elopement and had the most romantic time in our river view room. I especially loved the fireplace where we had to light the wood ourselves! It was fun
Super nice place. The view is one of a kind. The food is just okay. Not bad, but I've had better, but it's still pretty good. Expect to drop $100 for two with tip of you go. Service was good, not great, but the viesales up for everything that wasn't perfect.
Hospitality: Upon arriving the hotel we found out guest services had upgraded our room because they saw we were traveling for our honeymoon.
I had booked a room with a tub, but I was unaware it was an ADA accessible room, so they felt it was by mistake and changed us to a falls view room! We were very surprised and appreciative of their foresight.
-A couple experiences with the front desk team was great, and a few times the people weren't as personable as we'd have liked, but overall a good experience. They did offer us a welcome drink upon arrival that was really good.
-Valet is included with your room rate.
*There is a 20% gratuity on all services provided (customary to parts of Seattle & surrounding areas).
Rooms: Ours was very spacious and had a nice gas fireplace, a large shower with double heads which was awesome, & it had a falls-view from the top (pic below).
Dining: We had breakfast one morning at the dining room and it was really good! We liked it the best.
We used room service twice and the food came really quickly each time. We tried the cheese plate, which was okay, nothing great. The stone fire pizzas were pretty good, but were fairly small.
Spa: We got a couples Rekindling Ritual that included a body scrub & massage. The therapist were attentive, considerate, and communicated really well to make sure we received the best experience possible. We've had massages before at resort and spas (also, my wife is a Licensed Massage Therapist), and the therapist gave good pressure the entire time; much better than other spas we've been to.
Their relaxation pool area was fairly small, but included 2 heated pools, one with jets, and a sauna and steam room.
Snoqualmie area:
The nature of Snoqualmie were great - very beautiful and one of the best parts of our trip! We love evergreen forests, and the area is very picturesque of what you'd think the Northwest looks like.
The town was small, quaint, and historic along with some newer restaurants & shopping areas, and a few local breweries.
The gist shop seems to be less and less about the hotel/falls each year.
Hands down, the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Gorgeous setting, stunning atmosphere, friendly staff. Perfection.
We went to dinner at The Attic in the lodge. Fantastic food with a good variety and a lot of locally sourced ingredients.
Romantic hotel, restaurant, and waterfall scenery outside Seattle
Salish is a popular tourist stop outside Seattle, there is a pretty big waterfall and small hiking trail that people can enjoy. This popular stop also has a pretty serious hotel and restaurant. There are two restaurants on site. One is the Attic, which is more casual fare. Go there for some cocktails or wine, and some small bites which they cook in their wood fired oven. The food is good: pizzas, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and even some small BBQ. This is a great spot for a quick lunch. Downstairs has a fancier restaurant, this is more serious eating and service. They also do a killer breakfast, skillets, bacon cooked to your liking, good pancakes.
The hotel is nice and can make for a quiet romantic getaway. The rooms are cozy, they have fully functioning wood fireplaces, and serious baths that add to a relaxing feel that just makes you want to sleep. The spa at Salish is also the real deal, big salt baths and masseuse rooms were you can get a massage to your preference: hot rocks, specific body parts, pressure points. If you are staying the night book an appointment for the spa in addition to the restaurant.
Great place to stay, get a massage, stop in to eat, or just take in the waterfall view
The service has been great so far. The rooms are dated. I would not recommend room 201. It's only windows are views of chain link fences and a parking lot. It's supposed to be a view of the "grounds" but it's a pretty pathetic view. Other reviewing sites showed what their river suites looked like and that was laughable. A tad bit overpriced for what this place really is. A hotel next to a waterfall that doesn't have great views unless you're dining in one of their restaurants.
Lovely lunch and atmosphere as well as spectacular views.
Beautiful waterfall and great food oven pizza. Simply amazing!
We love the breakfast there. We went there the morning we got engaged and then on our 4th wedding anniversary we stayed the weekend there. It's a wonderful hike and the views are amazing.
Salish Lodge absolutely destroyed their honored chance to debut the premiere of David Lynch's newest season of Twin Peaks. They had one job: to show the show and show it right. Instead, they gave their "guests" a horrible picture quality, with sound that was messed up for the first 20 minutes, and a stream that blacked out again and again. The WORST part of all was the customer service- NO ONE representing the hotel stepped up and apologized, or explained the situation. The lodge gave NO effort into remedying the situation and doing their jobs. I am extremely offended about this, and have been spreading word of my experience to everyone who will listen. It is a shame, and a disgrace to Lynch and all fans alike.
Great view of the falls. Wonderful room and amazing food.
The rooms are large, well appointed, and clean. The bathroom is large and has a double shower. Our room had a "view" of the transformer farm for the hydroelectric plant. It appears that few rooms actually have a view of the Falls, though a short stroll down the walkway provides for excellent viewing. The restaurant has a good selection of wines. Wine and food were good, but portions and pours were a bit stingy. In short, everything was good but, at the price points charged, it should have been special. It wasn't.
Just amazing. Great access to the Falls. Big well decked out rooms, the Attic....
Beautiful hotel. Outstanding service and nice rooms
Nice place in the midst of a major renovation. The staff is wonderful.
A view that you can never get tired of. Spa facilities are excellent and modern. Very friendly staff.
Restaurant was only accepting hotel guests for food. We went elsewhere.
