Amazing experience! Staff was excellent and the grounds were perfect.

Great resort located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Plenty of amenities to accommodate any type of guest that comes through the gate! Would highly recommend for any golf/wingshooting/fine dining/etc. enthusiast. There is something for everyone there!

Went for a pheasant hunt. Gorgeous property, great food. Had a blast.

Staff is exceptional! They never miss a beat. Top notch accommodations. Activities for just about everyone who enjoys the outdoors (golf, fishing, kayaking, hiking, shooting, ATVs, etc.). Indoor pool, observatory, and spa for those who don't. Restaurant is now what it deserves to be, first class. Did I mention the views?

Do the wine tasting with Karl K, the Director of Food and Beverage and sommelier...AMAZING depth of knowledge. The staff are always welcoming and fantastic and Santana, the food manager, is just one of the greatest people on Earth. Her whole staff, from Michelle, Alison, Adam and Billye Jo to "the two Deborahs" at the saloon and Elements are top notch. Nick and Alex and their cohorts at the Orvis center always provide a safe and fun experience. Primland is the most relaxing place on Earth, and full of top quality activities, from ATV excursions to fishing, to hiking, and the manager's reception. We will come back every year, God willing! :-) Thank you!!!

If you want a romantic getaway go here. It's a 5 star getaway. Food is outstanding, setting is perfect, rooms are exquisite. Even have tree houses for the kids.

Absolutely magnificent, amazing room and the best EVER porc belly it is a must . They have so much activities it s perfect and the MTB trails are nice double road and singletracks . Will go back for sure in fall.

This place is amazing. I don't care which h building you go to or what your activity may be.

Everything about our experience was exceptional! The food was amazing, the service was 5-star, the room and views were stunning and the activities were awesome. We did archery, air rifles, tomahawk throwing & ATVs and had a blast. My favorite part of the experience was stargazing in the observatory - Lauren was so knowledgeable and we had the perfect night to see stars and galaxies with the telescope. We hiked a beautiful trail and enjoyed the fitness center, pool and hot tub. Cameron always made sure we had everything we needed and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommemd Primland and can't wait to come back!

Wow! A stay at Primland is more than just an overnight stay, it is an experience! Hospitable and cared for down to the last detail. This is indulgence, without frills. There is so much to experience that a week is not enough. The gigantic estate invites to many activities. The Lodge offers beautiful rooms, tastefully decorated with an eye for nature. The views are phenomenal. In addition, Primland is a perfect base if you want to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Always great to visit Primland. First rate accommodations, environment, and food.

Wow. What a golf course. Splurge on this at least once.

Primland offered the perfect place for a long weekend getaway for this Memorial Day. They just re-opened their facilities last week after a multi-week shutdown, and we rented the Bell Mountain House for Thursday-Monday nights. The staff was taking all necessary social distancing steps, wore masks and gloves, etc. We felt safe and taken care of during our entire time on the property.

The stay was excellent. The house was rustic but very comfortable and offered plenty of space for our fairly large group. The wraparound outdoor deck offers amazing view, and the observation deck/lookout point built into the side of the hill offers another spectacular place to take in the landscape and enjoy some sunset cocktails. The kitchen is large enough to cook meals in, but keep in mind that the cookware provided is relatively basic, but sufficient to get the job done.

As far as activities, we shot sporting clays, fished, hiked, and golfed. The sporting clay course is tons of fun, the different stations offer unique targets/shots that are challenging even for experienced shooting. The fishing was similarly great, the water the guides put you on is beautiful and the guides are knowledgeable and helpful. All of the hikes around the property are worth checking out, they provide a great way to see as much of the resort as possible.

The golf course was pristine and the golf staff was EXCELLENT. The starter (I think he was the assistant pro as well?) was extremely friendly and hospitable and provided a totally stress-free experience. They do golf right here. You show up to the bag drop, the staff provides you ample time to check-in and hit a few balls, load up on drinks, etc., and then escorts you to the first tee for you to begin your friend. The beverage cart patrols the course in regular intervals and is always close by. It really is a first class experience. The course if gorgeous and in excellent shape. Its a challenging track but isn't needlessly difficult. We were initially going to golf two out of four days during our stay, and we ended up golfing all four days.

Because we rented a house with a large kitchen we only ate at one of the restaurants one day, for lunch before a round of golf, but the lunch was great. Because of COVID-19 they offer take-out serve and encourage you to eat your meal on one of the several large decks, patios, or picnic tables around the property. We are on the main back deck with views of the 10th and 18th fairways and it was a great place to enjoy lunch.

We also heard good things from other guests who had been to Primland before about both the more casual 19th Hole restaurant and the main fine-dining Elements restaurant. But be aware that Elements is meant to be a gourmet restaurant and is apparently priced accordingly.

Overall, it was great to see Primland opened again after being forced to shut down due to COVID-19. The staff was extremely friendly and was trying their hardest to make the most out of a difficult situation, and they handled themselves very well. Everyone, from the front-desk employees to the guides at the outdoor activity center to all of the golf staff, was very accommodating and welcoming. This was out first time at Primland but we will certainly be back, and we are cheering hard for this place to succeed and get back to normal soon!

Not enough Stars to describe. Needs 10 - 12 stars to compare with other luxury resorts. Simply out of this world. In a class by itself!!

Incredible experience! It should be on everyone's bucket list!

Gorgeous location and views. But over priced for what it was. Great service in the restaurants but the check in staff was not up to speed. Super disappointing to want nothing more that a nice hot bath after a long day and find out as I stepped into the tub that it was ring around the tub with hair on it dirty and I just checked in. Called to let them know and have it cleaned while I waited 30 minutes. Then took a shower the next morning and saw that the shower was in need of repair and nothing short of discussing. Again I let the front staff know, but they just said okay. No, I'm sorry, nothing. Not what you expect from a place like this. I will attach photos.

Donald Steel designed golf course that is visually exciting. On top of the mountain in Virginia, this resort is one of elegance and charm.
The Director of Golf, Brian Alley, was outgoing and very professional. The service he and his staff presented was first rate. Attentive staff with thorough training.
I could play this golf course every day. Deserves the 5 star rating across the board.

Interesting place to hang out with a group of close friends. Great service and food, view is spectacular.

A truly beautiful location with panoramic views and incredible wildlife. Just on our drive we came across pheasant and a flock of turkeys within a few feet of the car. We decided to eat at The Club aka the 19th Hole and our server Stinson was awesome. However just before we our meal he was moved to the main dining room and it all went down from there. Our meal took an incredibly long time to arrive and once it did several of the dishes were cold and one dish was sent back because it was utterly non-edible, The Grain Bowl. For the cost of the meal and what you get it was unacceptable; our total bill was nearly $750 and it was not worth it. I understand that a visit here means "exclusive" but on our first dining experience it was exclusively expensive for a meal better executed at a more reasonable fine dining restaurant elsewhere.

Breathtaking views, extremely friendly staff, amazing golf course. Great shooting facility. Beautiful Spa facilities. I would give them 5 stars if they do training with their young staff on providing more detailed information on services offered. Everyone was extremely friendly and truly seemed to love their jobs making you feel welcome. This facility is very casual with the exception of Elements requiring a higher level of dress.

Views are spectacular, Upscale comfortable lodging, service very attentive.
Dani, spa Director, hosted us on our forest bathing nature walk. She is absolutely amazing!
Dani has a genuine gift for bringing someone closer to nature, It was the highlight of our trip and a great way to experience the beauty and peace of Primland.

Great golf course, friendly staff!! Highly recommend the bbq for lunch, near the first hole, if they have it available.

Impeccable service and accommodations. Great food too. A hidden gem!
