Plaza del Pasado, Old Town State Historical Park Review

Good old Town which is well maintained. Feels like you have gone back through time looking at the old ordinal buildings. Pleasant and lovely place to visit.

I love it here and the weather is PERFECT. Atmosphere, culture A+. However, the shops are overpriced for stuff I know I can get across border for so much cheaper.

Great place to visit both for family fun and a history lesson. This place was also featured on Ghost Adventures.

Got some great deals on San Diego silk-screened T-shirts at one of the tourist shops. Old Town has really been built-up... and in a good way. Ask about Perry's Cafe just across the railroad tracks from Old Town. If you're hungry for a lot of good food, Perry's is your place.

Love the environment. Kind of quiet due to Covid, but lots of shops.

So much to see and do. From shopping to walking around to getting knowledge about the history of the old San Diego history. Good for the entire family. Probably need few days to go through the entire park. Love it

This is a beautiful place to spend with family. There are a variety of shops that sell food and souvenirs.

Even with masks and distancing. We had an amazing time. Stopped at the cigar shop the place for rootbeer floats. Walked around taking pictures.

An awesome place full of dozens of small museums and some fantastic homemade ice cream.

Fun if you like shopping for trinkets. Lots of hand made things, including clothes.

Had a nice time got there late and only had time to explore one museum and a few shops, had fun dipping our own candle. Hope to go again next time we are down for a visit

Wonderful place there are many different types of shops. And take shops places that you can get souvenirs and a grocery store and then down at the end you can get on the beach. I think you love it. It's a wonderful experience.

Interesting place to visit, but it is primarily shops and restaurants with a few historical areas in between.

Great walk and historical place to visit. You have to go into the plaza.

Very enjoyable especially the barn with coaches and the original print shop building and the gentleman talking about three printing history. The other original I think is the school house, but it was closed when I arrived... Next visit!

Old town San Diego was a fun little historical place to see. A few nice restaurants in here and great little gift shops to look around in. Definitely cannot wait to go back again someday.

Old town San Diego is always fun with good food and drinks everywhere

Fun combination of shopping and history. Stores are very small, almost clostrophobic. Wide range of shops from nicnacks to fine jewelry. Great way to spend an hour or two

Love old town! There s a restaurant inside the park which is a little pricey but has the best chips and drinks

This area is wonderful! There are a bunch of restaurants, mainly Mexican cuisine, but there are plenty to choose from. The historical sites are interesting, and informative. It's a nice area to walk around, shop, learn some history about San Diego, and even a square for small concerts.

It was great. Too bad more businesses weren't open. We visited the cemetary. It was an interesting history lesson. We parked at the trolley station and walked. We got there around 6pm but still had a great time.

Old Town is always a great place to visit with lots to see & do & each weekend is very different from the next with lots of different performances & festivals!! All the restaurants have very good Mexican food!!

A marvellous experience to be had here with historical themes.
We ate at the main Mexican Restaurant and were serenaded by 3 guitarist whilst enjoying fantastic food.

Very diverse and fun place to explore and shop! Several vendors selling souvenirs and trinkets, along with several restaurants as well. Beautiful atmosphere and well spaced so it doesn't feel to crowded. Shopping, dinner and dessert... you can find it all here! Definitely bring some comfortable shoes as you may do a little walking!

Good old not modern design with a lot of Mexican restaurants :), I spent an enjoyable day there

Always a nice visit. I have noticed, over the years that the stores are starting to all sell the same things(except the specialty stores). Otherwise, beautiful!

Cool place to spend an hour or so. You would not miss so much, if you skipped or missed this actually. Everything is free to visit.

This place was a lot of fun. They had tons of random exhibits and shops and trails to walk.

Love to visit old town .it's filled with lots of historic cram as long as with lots of yummy restaurants. Little museum. Great little grassy picnic spot. Charming little plaza with Mexican art and artisenys. Great live music and or dancers ...lots of fun for whole family ..and great for a beautiful photo shoot

Always fun to visit this state park. Parking is always a challenge but its worth it. Kick around the old shops, new stuff ,tons of history, music and food. The restoration done can transport you back in time and it's a casual way to get some history in. Most of the museums and such are free to wander in and out of.
