Every dish I've ever had here has been cooked perfectly. They have all had great flavor. The portions are a little small, but that leaves room for an appetizer or dessert. The servers are very attentive as well.

The location makes high end dining enjoyable and accessible. Located in the middle of downtown finding parking is a nuisance but the local parking garages do offer a semi-cheap alternative. The service was exceptional and for quite complex dishes, the time spent waiting for the food is well worth it. The menu offers a unique mix between Italian and Modern American Cuisine and touches on all flavor points. All the items on the menu have great taste and good quality ingredients. Overall this restaurant will give anyone a great experience and I highly recommend dining at Perbacco.

I got the pork chop, which I was decently impressed with, though for the price I've had better. However the desert options were all top notch, and well worth the cost, I doubt you could go wrong choosing any of them.

Outstanding food and service. Had the red wine braised beef cheek with polenta - was very rich and hearty. Very tasty, and very filling. I'd recommend it if you're super hungry, though I couldn't hardly finish it. Others were raving about the scallops (much lighter) and the pappardelle with lamb. We also got the ravioli with lemon ricotta as an antipasti and it was excellent! I didn't love the waiter-recommended veal (vitello tonnato), as it was rather bland.

The setting was vibrant and lively, perfect for a business meal, and could also work for romantic dinners or casual get-togethers with a group of friends.

Well, I can't tell you how the food was because my waiter was so rude and condescending that i would not order food. I had 8 people with me and I didn't want to spoil it for them so I stayed, kept my mouth shut, had some wine, and went back to my hotel to eat a sleeve of pringles. The good thing is they were the sour cream and onion pringles. I spent about $800 and tipped 30% but never tried the food. I am guessing it is a management philosophy that is passed down to the wait staff. Either way, I was completely disrespected and he was very condescending when he asked how I was and I said, well you guys are really late seating us and I am really hungry. His response, I don't know nothing about that, that isn't me. When he came back I joked, well I am paying the bill tonight. His response, I don't care. As a business owner, I can tell you that attitude stems from the top down. If you go, sit at the bar.

WE . LOVE. THIS. PLACE.

WE . LOVE. THIS. PLACE.

I came here for the first time for restaurant week and was blown away with how great everything we ordered tasted. Came back again for a date night and it was just as good as we remembered.

I've tried a good portion of the menu at this point and can say that there hasn't been a single item that has disappointed me. I haven't tried any of their pizzas so I can't comment on that but all of the appetizers/pastas are all super tasty. service is also fantastic and all the servers are super warm.

We really like this place, and we go there pretty often since it's within walking distance from my friend residence. But the last time we went there, it was pretty crowded. A manager came up to us and told us the wait would be around 40 minutes. We couldn't do that since we had a movie to catch, and when we said "oh, that's not gonna work for us," he very brusquely brushed us off with a "Yeah, well, goodbye!" as he walked away without even making any further eye contact. That is just insulting to us....

Although we made reservations and we got there ON ...

Although we made reservations and we got there ON TIME, they didn t honor and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table.

When we finally got to the table, it took almost 30 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge our presence.

This is ridiculous. When we go to a restaurant, we want to sip wine and taste appetizers, not be drinking water without no one to take our orders.

After these long THIRTY MINUTES the waiter finally appeared and we ordered wine and appetizers. During this opportunity, due to the restaurant s timing, and afraid it could take FOREVER to get in touch with the waiter again, we used the opportunity to make our selections for the main courses as well, so the kitchen would have PLENTY OF TIME, and we wouldn t be waiting forever ONCE MORE..

I regret to say that our plan didn t work!

After we finished our appetizers the main course took FIFTY minutes to come to our table. it s unbelievable.
I wouldn t mind having the long wait between courses IF the food was exceptional. IT WAS NOT.

P.S.: The waiter (who was polite and friendly but probably taking care of more tables than it should be advisable) apologized for the long waiting saying the kitchen was very busy . I am not sure, because we were on the second floor, and everything took SO LONG that ALL THE TABLES around us were already EMPTY and there was NO ONE AROUND. I think the honest phrase should have been forgive us, we totally forgot to send your order to the kitchen . Probably this would have been the honest answer?

Honestly, one of the best pizza's in the city. The dough, sauce, cheese, and whatever topping you choose to add, then on top of that even more tangy sauce, making this place worth checking out. On the flip-side of quality, there lies the reality in service. 2007 Zagat rated for food, definately!

Perbacco is a great Italian place for lunch with clients, or to unwind with a bunch of friends after a long day of work.

I've tried the gnocchi and papardelle which are made with the freshest ingredients.

If you're feeling naughty the veal tartare is not to be missed.

The martinis are well made here, too. I love that they pour them and a razor thin sheet of ice can sometimes form on top.

They specialize in in house cured salami, I personally don't eat that but the diners I was with all raved about them. A seasonal northern Italian menu offers diners unique and original choices and classic dishes with a twist of modern California fresh. There are some private dining rooms if you are looking for a fun place to host a special event. I attended a party in one of their private rooms, and it was a memorable event. The wait staff went over the top to attend to the needs of our guests. Lovely decor.

the hard thing was the great reviews from all my friends, and then the average service. the antipasta and pasta were very good. the secondi was average. it took 15 minutes, and a trip to the general manager, to get the first round of drinks. I was disappointed.

My colleague and I ordered different entrees but had the same appetizer, beef tartare. We both ended up having food poisoning which we believe is from the beef tartare. Nobody else who was with us was sick.

We were visiting from SoCal & France with family members who wanted pizza. So we looked for a place close to where we were staying and found Little Star. What a fun find. When you walk in, the decor will not overwhelm you. This is not a fancy place. But we order three pizzas, garlic bread, salads, and some other treats. We were not disappointed. If you are looking for fancy Italian, you might pass, but if great pizza and a fun wait staff is what you want, here is you place.

Always a good time. The atmosphere is refined but comfortable - think hoodie-acceptable but you get petite fours.

Love the papardelle with short ribs and the lamb shank. Rich but balanced, well seasoned but not overpowering.

The dessert menu is sublime. Haven't gone wrong yet. I assume it's all good at this point. Pistachio Gelato is kind of my go to.

This is a nice place to have a somewhat high end but not over the top lunch in the SF Financial District. The dishes are high quality and tasty. Part of me thinks I'd be happier if they used 1/3rd less butter than they do. Another part of me thinks I'd like 'em less that way.

Very nice Italian restaurant. I loved the apple-pear salad. Others in my party were pleased with their entrees. I ordered the duck breast which was a bit dry, but it did have good flavor.

I really enjoyed this place. I would come just for the bacon alone. Which I am sure, as it is extremely well featured everywhere in the restaurant, is why many people do come. One friend had the ribeye, and escargot, the others split a vegetarian pasta and an appetizer that I don't remember the name of, it was like a goat cheese veggie pastry. Everyone LOVED their food.

Very good food, outstanding service

I love this place. I description says casual but I would say this is more business casual.

Went here with a friend. We shared the burrata antipasti, it was just OK. Lots of truffle but I think it was lacking olive oil. I had the fisherman's soup, outstanding very good and light, perfect for lunch. My friend had the tagliatelle, outstanding very good.

I would go here again.

Came here with colleagues for dinner after reserving the upstairs Barolo room.

1. Heirloom tomato salad with greens and fresh burrata
~Delicious. Tomatoes were plump, juicy, and bursting with flavor, and the rest of the ingredients paired perfectly.

2. Filet mignon, medium rare, with asparagus and mashed potatoes
~Pretty good. Filet was prepared well, and the potatoes were nice and buttery.

3. Puff pastry fruit tart with creme fraiche
~Pretty good. Creme fraiche went really well with the fruit tart, and the crust was nice and flaky.

Service was good, and my water stayed full the entire dinner.
