Portland airport is one of my favorite in the world.
Portland airport is one of my favorite in the world.
great! except for the smoke from the forest fires and the burning wires down below. I started asking the other passengers wheres the smoke coming from?! the first thing I smelled was burning wires and I was sitting in a seat next to a wing. freaked me out a little.
PDX is always great. They've put COVID safety as a top priority and have kept security moving smoothly and quickly. The airport is always clean and easy to navigate. By far the best airport I've traveled through.
Great place, very clean and secure, there are places to even seen the planes to arrive and depart very great place, they remodel a lot and make things better and convenient. Been going here since I was 5 years old awesome place not for little kids running around but its a good airport to arrive at.
Airport I am most familiar with...had only one bad experience which was a gate change we never heard, but with a flight app like "united" for example we didn't have to worry about missing the announcement.
Being from Denver and dealing with the massive mess that is DIA, I have to say that PDX is a dream. Security lines are short and consequently their TSA officers are actually friendly. The folks at check in are helpful and they have some great stores too. Best of all is the easy location - simple to access from the interstate and right in the middle of civilization. This is probably the most convenient airport I have ever been to.
best airport in the United States. delicious food, good shopping (prices are the same as outside the airport!!)
My flights have aways been for the most part ON TIME! They have never given me a hassle like Laguardia has! or JFK ! Thanks PDX
Friendly staff but the TSA pre-check line was closed, there aren't many shops after you go thru security and it needs a remodel
Just seems like a very efficiently managed, well run airport. Fast from start to finish.
An airport without the hustle and bustle of travel. Having a good breakfast served by Mo's. Light atmosphere and ambiance
I lost my license the last time I travelled to Portland and was terrified that I wouldn't be able to fly home. However, the TSA agents were very helpful and I was able to get past security and fly home after only a bit of extra screening.
PDX has been rated the number "ONE" airport Last 5 Years...!!!
Airport was well thought out and had all you expect. Didn't spend much time int he actual airport but the lines were small and service quick.
Busy airport but all went well. Glad I planned to be there early...
Beautiful airport! Quick and efficient! Gr8 place to fly into.
This is the closest international airport to where I live. And every time I travel, I look forward to coming here. Bag check is always quick, and so is security. Plenty of food and shops. And lots of spaces for recharging your electronic devices. I usually fly first class on Alaska airlines for flights longer than 3 hours. So for when I go to for example Hawaii. I go in the lounge instead of waiting for in the gate. The lounge is filled with snacks, and the seating is great. There is also great plane spotting areas as well. Would definantly rate this place 5 stars.
My first flight out of PDX 12-4-16 business trip to Boston, MA..
I booked flight with AA & was directed to Alaskan Air line...oh no!! I missed my flight and was told next flight is next day..not helpful...
Wyzju says I'm flying today...proactively told them I will rebook with AA Boss carrier..so they released my ticket to AA...
Long-term Parking covered...5days rate was reasonable...$126
A wonderful airport. The TSA lines are rarely terrible and they open enough lanes so that it moves realatively quickly. They have many delightful shops and restaurants, and if you want a plastic water bottle for under $2, go to the Made in Oregon store and buy the Oregon water.
As always, best airport in the states. Safe, clean, careful.

LOVE the live music right now during the busy and often stressful holiday travel season!! Makes for a relaxing walk and wait!
Great airport with great food. Love flying in and out of here
Always great! I always have a feeling of arriving home, although I don't really live here. People are so friendly and the airport is so cozy.
I love this airport. It s clean. The restaurant selection is amazing (particularly behind security). The prices on the food was reasonable. The prices on the alcohol was not. $13 for a Bloody Mary. Not their fault specifically but generally seems to be the trend at PDX. Outside of that it was a great experience as it always is. It very literally made me want to fly more. And also, shout out to the TSA at PDX. Super nice. Super professional. Quite fast.
Portland International Airport is a really great place to navigate to and through. It offers great shopping opportunities if you have the time. In fact, I've found some of my best treasures shopping there. The shops have name brand sportswear and exclusive one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories. I recommend that you make time in your travel schedule to spend an extra hour or two there to explore your options!
I never expected such a pleasant surprise in a airport. Stores everywhere and even a area before you get to the TSA for relatives and friends to wait for you without having to go through security. The TSA had many local people and I got through with no problems. Also live piano and quartets.
I only rate places 5 stars when they go far above and beyond others in their industry, which PDX does. It's a decent sized medium airport, and I've been through others its size that are much more convoluted. But, the entire experience is simple and streamlined. From check in, through security and to your gate, the entire experience is easy and you're guided effortlessly to where you need to go. I was especially impressed with the security checkpoint. The queue wound around itself many times, but the TSA agents were fantastic! They enforced the urgency as needed, but were clear in communication, and made the experience light by making jokes. The concourse layout reigns here, which makes the gates easier due to being essentially in long halls with moving sidewalks down the center. Abundant eateries and shopping, with city regulated pricing, which is rare and appreciated.
Very. Nice airport, easy to find your way around. Only area needing attention is TSA. Some of the people are too disrespectful. Nothing is posted as to what passengers are expected to do. These people seem to enjoy ordering passengers around. " i said get into the chamber", keep your hands up until I say put them down" " don't get out until I say so", "are you over 75? Then take off your shoes". Bunch of wannabe cops. Other airports TSA groups don't speak to people like this.
Great place to travel too and from. Well maintaoned and safe. Public transportation system is great $5 day passes.
Amazing airport, food and gift shops are not expensive, lines are really short. Again I think this airport is amazing.
By far the longest I stay at an airport terminal was here and to be honest I liked it, the fact I got stoned before my flight made me more relaxed and I got to walk around and shop a little, thanks Portland we will be back soon.
Nice small Airport with a great landside food court. Easy to get to from Downtown Portland thanks to the Trimet MAX, linked directly to the terminal.
Early morning flight. No waiting to get thru security.
So easy, friendly travelers with great attitudes, really nice #TSA folks. #PDX #GREATairports
This is probably one of the easiest airports to catch a flight from. Great people, excellent seating and charging spots, and free WiFi.
Only two drawbacks:
1) Most of the restaurants are on wrong side of security (before) so you're limited in options if you want to catch a flight AND grab a bite.
2) Oregonians aren't the best at traffic, and it shows when lines start to form here. protip: if you're flying out of A, B,or C gates - head to the D gate security line (always empty) and then catch the moving walkway back over to A, B, & C after.
Usually someone performing live music when you arrive. I dig.
We have had a great experience with PDX. They are very quick on getting people through security and the prices are very reasonable.
I've been some places in my life and I can tell you this is the best airport!! Everything is super efficient, never had an problem or delay due to airport issues
The staff were very helpful and they took amazing care of my child
I have to say that PDX is one of my favorite airports. Once you get past TSA (spend the 87$ and get your TSA-PRE pass, it s worth every minute of time and money it takes), they have really done a nice job of laying the place out so it doesn t feel like a strip mall.
Unlike so many airports that seem to turn into a maze of hallways and escalators, the designers really should get some kudos for keeping things feeling a little more organic is the adjective that comes to mind!
Great place and amazing drive. People really know where to go and the airport makes it so simple to operate.
My favorite airport. The most user-friendly airport I've experienced.
I spent $300 on a plane ticket. I arrive early to check-in on time and three different employees led me to three incorrect line ups. The first employee even admitted to 'not knowing' where I need to go. By the time anyone figured the correct area I need to be, I have missed my flight. I submitted in a complaint at the Delta check-in in Portland, America. The woman nicely apologized for the inconvenience and said she'll fix my ticket 'free of charge'. By fixing it she cut my flight in half, and doubled my wait time. I had to rewait in line while missing my second flight and asked what she was trying to do. The Asian lady with a black bob had my fiancee and I wait an additional two hours while she made phone calls and 'adjustments'. In the end my time and money was wasted and I couldn't return to my home in Canada. She told us we had to call who we purchased the tickets online from which took another two hours to figure out. We talked to superiors from both Delta and Westjet and no one offered to help. Delta was so rude that we became frustrated enough to hang up, not fixing the problem at all. This is the worst experience I've had travelling. My fiance and I never want to fly with these plane companies again unless this problem gets fixed. I am very upset that not one company offered to reschedule the flight or for a possible refund- even credit would be nice! But all every one did was transfer us back and forth and not wanted to listen or take responsibility.
Easy airport to navigate. Lounges everywhere. If you need help, feel free to ask in English and Spanish with just about anyone.
Pretty simple to navigate through, never too busy really, and the loop is helpful if you have to come around again. They been building something for some time now, maybe it's a giant bouncy castle?
From easily getting dropped off, thru a quick TSA security, to the coffee bar and jumping on a beautiful Delta aircraft. Ahhhh, flying this gorgeous PDX morning sunshine......priceless.
Love it!
It's beautiful and so much natural light. It puts other airports to shame. Wide walking avenues and many different kinds of restaurants and coffee, of course!
TSA here is probably the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Reverse racism, profiling, and generally rude staff.
It's really an okay airport I've been to a lot of it's really sad to see Conchords a closed
Bec of cova19 very few food, beverage, and merchandise venues are open. Security was very sensitive to the stress people are under. That was very helpful.
Pickup shuttle service an attendant actually checked to see if I needed help. Thank you great service and I'm very appreciative.
i flew into this airport through virgin airlines, the staff were nice, tried to talk with me in a nice way, since i'm deaf. they didn't give up. i like that. other than that, the drinks and food were nice, the security personnel were swift with their process, and out of PDX. hats off to PDX.
By far out favorite airport. Fast, efficient and probably the best food choices. Easy access to and from the airport. Well laid out inside and out.
Filthy airport, disorganized security and maybe 1 or 2 wall sockets per gate. If this was a busy airport, it would be a nightmare. Walked up and down C concourse at 9 am on a Tuesday, trash all over the floor, a years worth of crumbs and gunk in every seat crack and armrest, liquids splashed on seats and halfway up the walls, windows smeared with oily hand prints, dirty tables. Not even going to discuss the bathrooms. This is not "had a busy weekend dirty", this is normal dirty, no cleanliness standards.
Definitely one of the nicest airports ever! The facilities were very clean and modern, and there were very good food choices. Also, the airport has a policy making airport restaurants maintain the prices of Portland restaurants, so there are no crazy prices.
A wonderful reception and a beautifully crafted location. The expansive space mean that its pleasantly, but not near encroaching in its crowds.
Good place but wish the food counters opened earlier than 06:00. But good atmosphere and music.
Great people and services. I had a 24 hr layover and they made me feel at home.
Security at this place is terrible. I've been held up so many times. Mostly understaffed. Seems easily fixable.
Yeah yeah, security is always bad, right? I'm saying it's terrible relative to other airports. And also as a #1 rated airport my expectations are higher.
Get your act together PDX TSA you are bringing down the whole experience.
Well designed and laid out in comparison to other large airports I've been to. Great restaurants and it's quite easy to navigate in and out with adequate signage posted throughout.
Good food quality and variety compared to other airports. Also good parking and small enough to park, get through security, and make it to the gate very quickly.
Fast, easy check in no complaints. Speedy security checkpoint. Nice shops and restaurant options.
I would say one of the best airports in the nation, maybe the best.
In some cases, as I arrived late at night, all the stores were closed.
Quick and easy deplaning, decent restrooms, lots of shopping and dining options.
Could not even get in touch with a live person to speak with!
