Patterson's Cafe Review

A college-town brunch spot with value to match. I had a steak and egg bagel, which was good, but didn't blow me away. The pancakes with peanut butter chips were simple, but nothing to write home about. You'll often see a crowd of college students here after a late night out.

Pattersons treads a line between a relaxing Townie spot and a bustling student cafe. A decent staff keeps its food and service decent enough to warrant a return visit

Had a wonderful lunch at Patterson's. Such a great variety in the menu. The lobster bisque was very good with lots of lobster pieces. Service was excellent. Well worth going to.

Had the pleasure of having Hannah and Paige serve us today. Paige is brand new to serving and Hannah must be a great teacher because Paige was doing great!!! And if course my omelette and hubby's patty melt were scrumptious!!!

Great atmosphere and amazing food. I crave the yogurt and homemade granola. I wish I still lived near Oxford so i could get my fix.

They have the best grilled cheese sandwiches that I have ever had. They also serve a great breakfast as well.

The Cru, sister restaurant, is great. Food is great, service with a smile, friendly owners! Best place in Oxford!

Great place to grab brunch after a night of drinking, or simply a great place to eat if your parents are in town. Prices are fairly reasonable and there is a decent drinks menu. A Bloody Mary and a breakfast quesadilla is the quintessential brunch meal for a hungover Sunday morning. Expect very long wait times after 10 am in upwards of 2 hours. Anything earlier is pretty much a 15 minute or less wait.

Oxford's premiere breakfast establishment has an extensive menu of quality breakfast fare and superior service. It does tend to be rather busy, especially during the Miami University school year.

Finally got to come here when their bar was open. The wait was a bit longer than expected, but it's a college town and this place is within walking distance. Their drinks are amazing! No mix out of a giant plastic bottle for a dime a dozen. Their bloody mary's were made with a mix, but it was small batch and so worth the money. Their mimosas were made with a healthy portion of not the cheapest of cheap champagne, and their fresh squeezed OJ. The food was delicious and came out super fast! They were so crowded so I was expecting my food to take a while...but I was wrong! It came out very quick. I'll definitely be back, but I'll probably wait till school isn't in session...I don't like to wait!

Food was fantastic. Staff was smooth as a sewing machine. There was a rush of people it was family weekend for Miami of Oxford. The staff service and food was altogether amazing.

This is an experience you don't want to miss ! The food is delicious and fresh, including the freshly squeezed orange juice, so good ! They are only open for breakfast and lunch, so get there in the beginning of the day.. They have delicious lobster bisque soup too in a cup or a bowl affordably priced, goes great with a salad ! They used to have awesome freshly baked muffins but they discontinued them, let's all beg for them back !! Not only were they delicious, but they would make croutons with them for the salads, so good Enjoy...

Plenty to breakfast options to choose from. Service is prompt and courteous. Would be great if they expanded to include a lunch menu as well.

This is a wonderful establishment, though rather busy in the mornings and slightly pricey. Pro tip: both of these issues can be avoided if you go early in the morning. There will be increased availability in terms of seating, and they do an early bird special where many of the items on the menu have an extremely reduced price.

Patterson's is always a favorite stop in Oxford. The food is excellent whether breakfast or lunch or something inbetween. Service is always excellent, responsive and polite.

Horrible place. It's a tiny, overpriced, Bob Evans that makes you wait an hour plus for semi decent food.

Always a great place to have brunch and chat. Service is a little slow, but staff is always on top of everything and pleasant to be around. You'll never leave hungry and the coffee to-go is a great plus.

Wonderful service from wait staff. Food was good! Awkward getting out of restaurant when there is a line out the door. Offense!

There was wait list and we were continually passed over for names below us. We only had a party of 3 so I am confused why this was happening. My son attends Miami and I am up here frequently but will never visit Patterson s Cafe again.

Delicious food, great service and the prices were not bad. I had a salad with grilled tuna and a corn muffin, and my husband had lobster bisque. We both enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere and good location.

Very nice hotchocolate. Came in alone requesting a table for one and got seated at the bar. Service was good, but food came out cold and cheese from my three cheese omelet had solidified. Okay pancakes, got the oreos and cream ones. But I loved how I could see the manager walking around and getting involved. Hopefully next time I can get my food hot.

Love this place. Food and environment both are great! Nice people. It gets really crowded on the weekends and you might need to wait an hour or more to get a place to seat for brunch.

There needs to be more restaurants like this one! Patterson's is the place to go in Miami if you're interested in a great meal. Though wait times can be long when their busy, the food is well worth the wait.

This spot is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The crew is very receptive and the cuisine they place on your table is so appetizing. I would always prefer to have a decent meal in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

I routinely bring visitors here for breakfast or lunch business meetings. Food is great, service is fast and the wait staff keep the beverage glasses/cups full.

Better food and prices than Bob Evan's, if you don't like good breakfast don't come here.

A great breakfast/lunch choice for Oxford. I miss the old days when they used to serve dinner here.

Sizable portions, whether you go with a salad, pancakes, quesadillas, or practically anything else. It s pretty easy to get a seat on weekday mornings, but good luck on Saturdays and Sundays, as you will be competing with the college crowd to get in. Reservations would be nice, but I understand why it s easier for them to keep things as they are.

Freshly squeezed orange juice is always good. Coffee is just ok. I wish they would brew and serve coffee roasted three blocks away at Oxford Coffee Company, instead of getting it from out of town. Maybe someday!

I highly recommend the pub salad. It s a well made meal-sized salad. I often end up taking half of it home! Got the barbecued quesadilla and was disappointed with the amount of oil at the bottom of my plate when my meal was done.

Great service, food was tasty. However, some of the menu is mislabeled. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, but when it came out the fish was cooked all the way through. Still good, just not what I expected.

It s ok.. chicken salad was gamey and tasteless. Servers were snobby and unfriendly.

For a college town food is good and reasonably priced, service is always as fast as it can be. It is a place that parents can feel good going to.

Always a great experience! Patterson's has great food from breakfast to dinners items. I have had a variety and is always good with large portion sizes. Last time I got the triple decker hand and turkey BLT club. Wow! A huge sandwich that was fabulous (see picture).

Decent food and great prices and service. Portions are a little small, but you don't pay a lot for them.
