We have already been there for the 15th year in a row with the bear forest days, but this time I found that the maintenance was a lot less, maybe a little too much emphasis on the pandas, unfortunately next year better?
Beautiful zoo, we visited the park during the China light festival ... and we will definitely come to see the animals in the summer ... a lot has changed too
It is a fun zoo for children! A lot to do. However, some stays are reasonably small and the aquarium bins are really overcrowded. It is wise to go in the morning when it is not that busy yet. The gorillas do have a wonderful stay.
Well-groomed animal park, with reasonable consumer prices. You sometimes have to have a lot of patience when buying consumables, because sometimes there is only one employee in the ministry. Furthermore beautiful park, good parking space.
Despite the crowds, everything was super organized! The animals, the park and also play and entertainment options for the children "TOP" for each other! I enjoyed this day. Thanks!
We are lucky to have been on a Monday. Was nice and quiet. Beautiful lodgings, animals are doing well. Had a wonderful day. Only the catering really leaves much to be desired, we had eaten in Pandasia and left my salad, it tasted so dirty. Also in terms of waiting times bad. Little sanitary facilities throughout the park and parking is relatively very expensive compared to entrance tickets.
Undoubtedly a childhood sentiment for many. This zoo is constantly on the move. The stays and route in the park are neat and adventurous. Enjoyed the entertainment and the way facts about animals are told / brought. The hospitality industry has a fairly wide range of food and drinks spread over the entire park. Children can have a great time with the many playgrounds in the park with the large covered playground as a topper.
TL;DR Well maintained zoo with nice enclosures, I do recommend it!
We visited on a family holiday and were surprised by the place, I think it is often overlooked due to more marketed and better known zoos in the vicinity but if you find yourself looking for something new, give it a shot. The variety of animals was well worth the pay and the advised tour made it so we surely filled our day. There's plenty of stands to grab a bite however do note not all of these are open off-season. As an added bonus they currently host some of the Chinese giant panda bears and the enclosure is amazing as is the Asian themed restaurant and store in it.
Ouwehands animal park neat park clean and nice places to walk and sit. Clean pens / places for the animals. Those that fit the theme, such as staying with the panda were wonderful.Ouwehand a pleasure to be there.Friendly people tasty coffee and delicious food at the restaurant at the Panda 's A must.
Large, beautiful it is recommended for families. There is a petting zoo and play equipment. Disabled people can park their vehicle for free, right next to the entrance, really TOP
Purchased cheap tickets for the China light festival via social deal. Very nicely lit everything! Many animals were already asleep, but for that you should not go to the China light festival.
Been to the Chinese days. Which Chinese days?!. Nothing to be found, here and there a lantern. Road signs very bad. Staff also not aware of any shows. Not worth the money for me.
Ouwehands is a beautiful park where a walking route takes you past all the spacious accommodations. Everything looked neat. Special to meet the panda's from so close.
A very nice and beautiful animal park with enough variety to keep kids enthusiastic. We had great weather and spent all day in the park. To be repeated.
Nice zoo. Information about the animals is also very easy to find on various signs at the accommodation. A pleasant walking route. The disadvantage is that we had chosen the wrong day to go to the zoo, with a beautiful sunny Sunday. That made it really extremely busy in the park. This was not particularly pleasant at the aquarium. In the future I will go on a weekday. What also made me a little sad was the polar bear sitting alone in a loft. Little place to swim and the stay looked rather boring for this animal. I am not an animal expert, but I found that very difficult to look at. Nice to see the pandas have seen, but there were far too many people in one place together. A beautiful park for the rest!
Recommended! What a beautiful zoo !! Of course you also come for the pandas, but what does this zoo have a lot to offer. The bear forest with the background information is of course also a must, but actually everything is just as beautiful and interesting. Beautifully laid out, nice wide hiking trails and lots of shelter from the sun. Everywhere fun play areas for the children and plenty of eateries for reasonable prices. A must for young and old, with or without children.
Nice park but unfortunately not in this corona time. You reserve for a specific time block, but why? You are already in line from the crowded parking lot. They have made a route with arrows, but it is not really clear.
Very easy to reach by public transport, friendly staff who can help non Dutch speaking, the zoo is mind blowing, very well run, with plenty of spaces for all the animals who live there. The place is very big & has a lot of space s for the human guests, with play acrivities for children and disabled friendly. Some empty spaces looked abandoned which was a shame. Pandasia with the Pandas & the Clouded leopards were the highlight of my day, I was there in those two areas for good 90 minutes, then the parrots, loved those three experiences the pets seemed very nd relaxed in their environment, even with lots of people around. The clouded leopards cubs were my best present to watch, I have been very lucky to have been able to see them and catch them on some photos. It would be a great idea if the park was to open a little longer than 6pm on week days in the summer, definitely a must see time & again
