Nice and beautiful park. A pity that some animals are far away

I often came here as a child. Such a nice and beautiful zoo. What also strikes me in this zoo is the combination of creativity and the aesthetic for both animal and visitor. The new Panda enclosure is simply beautiful. There is a huge rich variety of animals that are well cared for and I enjoy it every time and this year I take out a subscription.

Ontzettend genoten. Ik ben de stadsdierentuinen gewend en dan is zo'n dierentuin een hele mooie afwisseling. Je kan heel dichtbij de dieren komen. Mens en dier lijken elkaar daar echt te respecteren.
De mensen die schrijven dat je er zo doorheen bent, hebben vast geen jonge kinderen. Wij zijn er de hele dag zoet geweest. Mooie afwisseling van dieren, speelgelegenheden en shows om te bezichtigen.
Wat betreft corona maatregelen, prima geregeld en een mooie looproute gemaakt die eenrichtingsverkeer heeft.

Keep surprising around every corner, the walking route shows you the way and in between also play fun for the children and nothing short of refreshments. All facilities neat and also a fun theme!

It was a violent day, it started with pouring rain, but in the park it was dry, top everything was well taken care of.

Very nice zoo with enough space for the animals. Each they have a nice stay that is well decorated. There are also a lot of different animals to be found. However, the souvenir shops are very expensive.

Very busy, long queue for the maternity visit of the panda

Found it a bit disappointing. Apart from the panda stays quite outdated.

Very accessible animal park for people with reduced mobility. Could reach anywhere with the walker. We enjoyed from 10 am to 3.30 pm.

Nice. Although I am against animals in a cage ... they were well looked after. I was actually here for a meeting, but I went to the zoo for a while. Especially viewed the pandas.

This place is awesome. So much to see and do especially if you bring your children. You will need at least 5 hours to see everything maybe more. Highly recommended.

Basically a nice and also individually designed zoo, but it is getting old with many enclosures or many enclosures just look neglected. The zoo, with its huge playgrounds and halls, is more reminiscent of a children's paradise than an animal park - and that was clearly noticeable among the visitors ... it was packed (yes, ok, Sunday - I expect more crowds) and me don't want to know how full it is if we don't have a corona. A pro pro Corona ... so go with the measures, ne ... tickets have to be pre-booked, but at 10 o'clock a huge queue. Toilets - we better not talk about that. Well, the zoo can't help it if the parents don't have their children under control. But that the employees are more concerned with themselves instead of access e.g. Regulating the panda enclosure or making sure that the one-way street is observed is a no-go.

And last but not least ... The price-performance ratio just doesn't fit ... 26 per person + 8 parking - I prefer the Burger's Zoo, which is also a bit cheaper, but always.

Conclusion: you can, but you don't have to. Once seen, it is definitely enough.

Very nice zoo! Everything looks pretty neat, it might be useful if they create a folder to find everything a little easier!

Corana measures are not or hardly observed by the visitors. Enforcers had a hard time with it.

It's a small zoo. It feels a little old to me. Especially the polar bears look more brown then white. Near closing time not much animals are visible anymore.

In terms of area not large, but nicely laid out and cozy animal park. Enough to do for the kids too.

Magnificent Zoo! We went there on weekdays and there was hardly anyone there.

The space for pandas, pandasia, is very large and you can see them without glass. A boutique is dedicated only for pandas with a wide variety of products.

It's a shame that parking costs so much (7eur)

Today I went to Ouwehand's animal park, enjoyed all the animals and some beautiful pictures made by my sister.

We have had a subscription to this zoo for years. Well-maintained park, nice play areas for the children and there is sufficient parking space. Nice also that the dog can just go into the park. Yesterday again and what I found disappointing was that the vast majority of the catering industry was closed and that during the May holidays. I have never experienced this before and we still come several times throughout the year.

Nice zoo where the animals can be seen well. Various restaurants and facilities throughout the park. In addition, it is also very pleasant that dogs are allowed.

A nice zoo. On a weekday you have a chance that a restaurant is closed or the train of the tour does not drive.

Nice zoo with a lot of plants around , looks much smaller than on map so 4h is really enough to seeing everything. We were there after 10am and all shops with ice creams etc were open from 12/1pm so if you are with kids better take some stuff with you moreover is not that much food there. Toilets are also not perfect clean. Was nice to seeing pandas (first time) only I expect to saw them outside not behind the glass. We haven't seen all animals , they were good hiding somewhere :) But more than less it's really nice place ;)

Very nice animal park. Just a pity that not all eateries were open. This despite the crowds during the summer holidays.

Fantastic zoo to visit with children. There are so many nice play areas on the route through the park for the kids to play in.
This gives the adults a chance to relax as well!

You get to be quite close to the animals too.

We have visited the China light festival. It was part of a day out with 2 more parts. Great presentation at the zoo !!! Chapeau. Nice outing also with children in this Christmas holiday. To do !!

Been today and was a really great day. Beforehand we had already seen reviews with complaints about crowds etc ... But if you just use the late opening hours (15:00 inside) then it is very doable and nowhere busy or full. We did a round at 19:00 and the whole zoo is almost empty by then. The queue at the aquarium is then gone. (nobody inside) Great to order your food, ice cream etc everywhere without any fuss. Park is busy with expansions and all looking good. Highly recommended.

Nice zoo! The only one in the Netherlands that has panda's, 2 to be exact. We only saw the male outside. The prices for food were quite high, but the quality was good. It was nice to see that they did not only showed the stays of the animals but they also entertained the visitors with extra shows and attractions. Especially recommended for children!

We only walked by, but google maps asks for review -> we saw a bear (5 stars, but he slept 4)

A lot of animals, a lot to see, a lot of playgrounds. Nice place to spend a day.

Nice and clear zoo with plenty of nice animals. The palaces of the giant pandas are beautiful. But the pandas are not the only attraction because the other accommodations are just as interesting. The only thing that really needs updating are the aquariums.

Nice park with well-kept buildings. The suggested route is clearly indicated. Enough space for your own route.

Have now returned to this beautiful animal park for the second time within six months. Now during the May holidays. Now also brought our puppy. By the way, it is 1 of the 2 animal parks in the Netherlands where you can bring your dog. Was well busy again. We were on time. Have of course also been looking at the pandas again. Furthermore, just enjoyed this beautiful animal park.
Have now also walked through the so-called Bear Forest . It is quite impressive how many bears they have collected and placed here over a long period of years. If you read the entire presentation and history of all the placed bites, then you get a little quiet in thought and also a little angry at the people who have / had inflicted all that suffering on all those bears.
But let's close on a positive note. Let's all learn from these human errors of fun and amusement with these bears. And to keep all animals in their value and their natural habitat as much as possible.

Fijne dierentuin. Routing is niet altijd even handig en duidelijk, maar een blik op de plattegrond helpt altijd!
Olifanten, giraffen, zebra's en apen, hebben een mooi verblijf. Sommige dieren vind ik wat triest, als er maar 1 of 2 van zijn (of te zien zijn). Onze zoon van 4 heeft genoten van de streken van de orang-oetans.
Ontzettend veel speelgelegenheid voor de kinderen. Soms haast aan moeten herinneren dat het een dierentuin is, geen speeltuin.
Personeel is vriendelijk, begroet keurig, en alles zag er netjes uit.

Very nice and weird but true, the dog was allowed in the zoo.

De panda s zijn de grote publiekstrekker. Voor ons ook de reden om naar Rhenen te gaan. Waarschijnlijk ook voor het laatst. Vergeleken met Amersfoort en Arnhem veel minder interessant voor gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Veel oude verblijven. Veel gevaarlijke plekken (muurtjes zonder hekwerk) Ook een slechte prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.
Het is niet mogelijk om online kaartjes van de telefoon te laten scannen.

Beautiful park with beautiful and large accommodation for the animals. Plenty to do for the children and everything goes smoothly, even in crowds

Nice zoo with lots of play facilities for the children.

We waren er op zondag 15 september en het was heel erg druk. Voor parkeren waren we aangewezen op een terrein in Wageningen.
Verder jammer dat de horeca echt flink aan de prijs is. Overigens verder een leuke dag gehad.
