Pretty easy to find. But will probably be better when the hotel is finished

Cluttered, expensive parking, fines for some cars that paid parking fees and were referred incorrectly, cash machine.

Very large beautiful center located on the Oslofjord with all imaginable comforts. Is constantly being worked on improvements and expansion of services. Great for large corporate events.

The stay went from a dream to the most unpleasant hotel experience I've ever come across. After submitting a complaint, it all went sour. First I was called into a meeting with the Head of Security, Birgite. During that meeting I laid out my case, and she was seemingly attentive to this.

The meeting went quite fine untill the end, she had an envelope with 5000,- NOK and told me that they wanted me to take this and leave. By principal I immediately told her that this is not going to happen. That second it all changed.

She went from seemingly attentive and caring to angry and told me she was going to call the police to kick me out. I asked her on what grounds would they be able to do so? Well apparently she had prepared a folder with several complaints that she for some mystical reason did not tell me about the 7 days before she had the chance. Even encounters with people when I walked my dog that I didn't even have a quarrel with. Actually my only quarrel was that one complaint.

About 6 hours later hard knocking commenced at my door, 5 or 6 police officers was standing outside wanting to talk to me. They did their job, in a very professional matter so no complaints against them. But one has to wonder what they where told when meeting up with such manpower, going through all my stuff for drugs etc.

Nothing was found of course, and after a chat with the officers we agreed on "keeping seperate" and not making any trouble for each other. Which is fair either way, and as they acted professionally, and seemed completely objective in their mission it was not a bad experience. The sad thing is that this was probably the good experience this place has to offer.

If you are not in their religious clique, and you "stand out" it appears they will move mountains to try to get one convicted of false charges, use intimidation and fear. And as well as denigrate ones character. I could have the humor that one would not expect them to "Raise themselfs over another man" or "Only God judges". But hardly humourous when staying in the middle of literally a city by their "clique".

They did not get their way, 4 days left. If I get killed y'all know who did it ;P But seriously, might be a great experience for those who are very A4, families etc. To be fair as right is right you will most probably have a great experience here. It is very family friendly, there is good hiking opportunities, there's a beach nearby etc. However if you are a bit outside that A4 square/box you have read how it can turn out worst case, well maybe even worse. 4 more days and we'll see.

A fantastic place with "western idyll" by the fjord. When all hotel buildings are completed in 2021, this will be Europe's largest course and conference venue.
The venue is suitable for from the smallest to the largest conferences.
