For a reasonable price, you can get to know the fortress and history here. Everything is wonderful and elaborately prepared. Many descriptions explain what you are looking at. They worked with great attention to detail. Even supposedly less interesting exhibits can be found here. There is something for everybody. The organ concert is phenomenal and the organ itself anyway. In the end you can dine in the fortress inn. The food is cheap and delicious. The staff is also extremely friendly.

Interesting fortress with a great panorama of the city

I think it was better than the Salzburg fortress. Can see the whole view of the town. Walking distance from the train station.(5 minutes walk)

Wonderful place, were there at the Knights Festival, really great

The fortress is very interesting. You can wander and enjoy the surroundings. Before Christmas inside the fortress is the Christmas market. Very interesting. I was even surprised. So far it was the best Christmas market I've ever seen. . There in the fortress on the site holds the theater. I recommend to visit.

The fortress Kufstein is a popular tourist destination in the Tyrolean lowlands. In the 20th century the fortress lift and the panoramic lift were built, since 2005 there is a mobile roofing for the Josefsburg, so that one can use this area for concerts and events. The 12.50 euros are definitely worth it, with the nice elevator to drive up and visit the castle from the inside. Something of interest!

Beautifully restored fortress with many visual objects.
If I am in the area again I will definitely go back.
To recommend:
The walk over the covered walkway up and down again.
For circulation weak there is also a lift.
In the fortress there are also few straight paths.
It always goes up and down.
So that's not really what's handicapped.

Really worthy of being seen. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful sunny day and a late summer weather.

Both the castle and the town are very beautiful. The price of 12.50 euros for me is right for what you can visit. The only flaw is that some descriptions of objects or places lack the translation also in English, so those who do not speak German are disadvantaged.

Impressive, beautiful and very large fortress. Plan enough time. There is a lot to discover and an exciting story. Children under the age of 10 should not visit the torture chamber. The fortress is definitely worth a visit! Recommendation!

The museum in the castle is very unstructured. This means that different epochs of time are mixed up. The old wooden organ does not play anymore.

Nice town with small streets and nice shops, Kufstein is always worth a visit.

Very nice historical fortress which can be reached by stairs or elevator. The history of Kufstein has been beautifully worked up in the historical rooms and the view from almost every room, tower or wall is wonderful! It is definitely worth the entrance fee!

Beautiful and evocative with a beautiful view ... You can go either on foot Ke with the lift (included in the ticket price) ... I recommend walking down so that you can walk the covered stairs .... Good on internal restaurant ... About 3 hours per visit ...

Beautiful castle that has its story to tell. With the audio guide via app you can learn a lot of interesting things about the individual rooms or buildings. The train that brings lazy feet up gives a wonderful view of Kufstein.
Then you can stroll a little relaxed through the old town and spend a nice day.

It was a great day. But we certainly haven't seen everything. Time passed too quickly. The prison was interesting. Below is the tunnel to the big fountain, the torture chambers, and at the top the lookout point in good weather, great view. There is also an ice cream parlor.

Had luck despite relatively great September weather was relatively little going on and it was therefore a very relaxing and exciting trip.

Is a good place to learn from Kufstein and to relax

From the fortress you can see the whole city. There is the possibility to walk up or take 2 lifts (a panoramic glass lift and a mountain lift deep inside the hill). The entrance is acceptable, upstairs is a museum and several green areas where you can sit down and enjoy a picnic. Through events such as concerts, operas, knight festival and Christmas market, the castle is revived several times a year.

Good and well maintained facility. In order to see all areas you should already plan enough time. The complex can be reached by stairs or elevator. From above, a beautiful view of Kufstein, the Inn and the surrounding mountains. Suitable for children. However, the torture chamber should not be entered with the children. When visiting Kufstein, a visit to the fortress is absolutely mandatory.

12.50 euros appear to be quite expensive at first glance, but that's a good deal. You can pass the time very well by exploring the castle and the various exhibitions, or simply enjoy the view.

It was a nice trip that completed a very successful afternoon. Time travel edited with great effort and attention to detail. Insane view extremely informative. We would love to come back. Admission price absolutely justified. !!!!!!!!!!
