Pretty. Free except the indoor tropical stuff, that's $2. Lovely gift shop. Nicest people working there. A nice way to spend time. Parks and playgrounds and beach in area if your kids need to run off energy a little bit before or after.

My family likes to go here seasonally to see the flowers and the trees bloom. It's amazing the difference from early spring, late spring, summer, and fall. A great place to just walk around and chill.

Stopped by this garden when driving through the area. The setup is nice although the outdoor area is a little bit small and somewhat noisy due to proximity with a main road. The indoor tropical rainforest is really interesting and well done. Entrance fees are free although you have to the pay for some of the indoor exhibits.

Beautiful plants and flowers inside, along with the beginning of a live butterfly exhibit. Outside, very hot. Rose garden has not quite reached its full glory yet. We visited the country's only Thai temple there. Lots of gold and many beautiful sculptures.

Amazing property. One of the nicest gardens I've been to. The garden is free which is amazing. The Thailand Pavilion is a must see to anyone coming to the area. Pay the fee and also check out the Bolz Conservatory. Well worth the trip!

Super cool place to visit for anyone. A quiet and peaceful place to observe nature. The highlight was certain the Thai Garden. I have never seen such vibrant colors in flowers. Parking was hard to come by so it may be better to park across the street to save time from hunting for a parking space.

The simple fact that these incredibly beautiful gardens are free and open to the public makes Olbrich a top attraction in Madison. How lucky are we to have such a magical space (and pollinator habitat) right in the heart of the east side?! Definitely worth a visit; spend a lunch break or an entire afternoon, there are plenty of perches to stop and rest while taking in the view.

I've gone here for gleam, I've gone here for the butterflies, and I've gone here just because. Olbrich gardens is one of the most calming places in Madison, and is cherished by many. The gardens not only serve as a learning center for all ages, but also serves as a fantastic place to take a date. When finished at the gardens, head across the street to the biergarten. It's a win win situation!

Such an amazing place. There is more to see than you will imagine. So many little nooks and charming places to sit and enjoy the scenery.
We went for a family photo shoot at golden hour on a Sunday night. There was a fee for that ($31.65). But endless opportunities for photos. Mosquitos were annoying! Make time for this one!

A friend and I decided to rent the BCycle e-bikes today in the Olbrich Gardens parking lot area. After a nearly hour-long ride, we dropped by the beer stand at Olbrich Park and ordered their "warp speed" draft beer. Quite enjoyed it and I'm not even a big beer drinker! Sat at a table overlooking Lake Monona and chatted while watching the boating activity on the water. Perfect fall weather with the sun still shining and crispness in the air. Doesn't get much better than biking, beer, boat watching and a bestie!

Gleam at Olbrich Botanical Gardens was spectacular this year! Many interactive light installations, with lots of opportunities for patrons to participate in the art. The bird sculpture in the Thai Pavilion was particularly beautiful, while the musical sphere was eerily moving.

Excellent winter time activity for the whole family. Attractive and lively garden center with train and holiday display to visit in addition to the conservatory. Gardens still had some plants to see despite the cold weather and the stroll through the outside paths made for good exercise. The indoor conservatory transports the visitor to a tropical paradise and allows for an educational walk with flowers, plants and birds not available in Madison.

Construction of the new educational facilities in ongoing. Will be a fantastic set of buildings when completed.

Easy to borrow a scooter for people with mobility challenges. Holiday Cafe set out for refreshments.
