North Shore Music Theatre's Backstage Bistro Review

LOVE this theater! Wish I could go more often! Paying for parking is totally worth it unless you want to sit in the parking lot for over an hour after the show!

Circular stage offers a different perspective for live plays.

Affordable way to see live entertainment in a venue that is pleasant and has great sight lines. Went to see a production of The Music Man. The performers were all very good and of course the music was fantastic. The Beatles even did a cover of one of the songs (Till There Was You. )

Great location. Wonderful building and space. Excellent productions, with an outstanding LIVE ORCHESTRA.

Terrific regional theater with educational programs for all ages.

We saw Hairspray. It is good quality show. The artists have amazing voices.

Not a bad seat in the house, because stage is in center with audience surrounding. Ideal for dancing and musicals. You're better off here than on Broadway for being close to the action.

It was not like i thought it would be. Dancing was so so. Tony should have done all the moves John Travolta did. Totally disappointed. This is not a high school play. You pay for you what you expect. One of the male dancers was better than Tony. Disco Lady, and Paulette were the best singers . I would not recommend this show at NSMT. I am going to check out other productions of this play. As of now, NSMT below its reputation.

Cute little theatre. Needs a little work to revamp it a little. Puts on awesome shows though.

Backstage Bistro is a great venue, I was there for a 20th reunion, and enjoyed the staff and decor! Very friendly and accommodating!

Jersey Boys was great!! Wife in a cast and Jackie the Manager very accommodating.

It's an amazing place I would definitely go there again!!

My husband and I saw Mama Mia on August 17th. It was amazing. I kind of dragged my husband along and he loved it too!
We always enjoy going to this theater. Shows are well done and talented casts are wonderful.
This show was one of my favorites.
Cozy theatre in the round means s great views for everyone.
Highly recommend this show and any other.

A great venue for many years. An intimate experience with very talented performers in quality shows.

Recently saw Jekyll and Hyde at NSMT and it was fantastic. My mom said she enjoyed it as much as Hamilton on Broadway (which I have not seen) for one tenth the price. This theatre is beautiful, accessible and affordable.

Like watching a movie, but your no behind the screen. It's amazingly wonderful, and extraordinary, it was the best thing I've seen in a while. Highly recommend 'A Christmas Carol'

Christmas Carol is a classic-always clean, great snacks what is not to love. Become a season ticket holder and experience the joy my family does multiple time per year!

It is good I went to go see Monty python spamlot is was good and it was funny it is kind of expensive in my opinion if you buy a drink or a snack there.

I've been going here for more than 20 years. This is one of the best performing arts venues in the area. The round stage provides a truly unique experience.

If you ever have the opportunity to see a play here....DO IT!!! Theater in the round is great.

I've seen A Christmas Carol over and over the years and these players are top notch talent who put in 150% into every performance! David Coffee as Ebenezer Scrooge is BRILLIANT I just recently saw Young Frankenstein and was blown away at how well it was done!!!!! I laughed hysterically through the entire show!!!!!!

Great show saving was kind of tight but it was a great show.

Awful place. Do not go there. Bill Haney is an awful human being. The facility has many points where you can not see the theatre at all but the tickets are still sold and titled limited view but you can not see at all unless you re willing to be sitting in your neighbors lap. All Bill Haney cares about it money not about how the patrons actually feel while also treating the staff like peasants

The show was good. The rest, not so much. Waiting on line for our overpriced food, people in front of us ate out of several of the popcorn containers. Told somebody, but nothing happened. By that I mean, it was still for sale. I also understand not being able to take pictures during the show, but when the cast is bowing, and the show is over you would think it's ok. Even if it's not, that's not an excuse for someone to sick their finger in your face saying they have to watch you delete the pictures. It could have and should have been handled better. Again, show good, venue not. Wouldn't go again.

My first time here. I had a great time. There are no bad seats, every seat and view is ideal. Very happy with the intermission refreshments, something for everyone. Be sure to bring a light jacket or sweater if you visit in the summer. They keep the temps pretty cool. I heard this was for the actors, who I'm sure get pretty heated up. Can't wait to return.

A must see event no matter what is playing. A fun circular theater where there is never a bad seat in the house.

Always an excellent show. Theatre in the round with excellent seats and reasonable prices. Young kids love the stage. Food selection at the grill outside is not the best.

A wonderful little Theater in the round, that brings back pleasant memories. Enjoy small theatrical productions as well as Mini star concerts. A Christmas Carol is always a fantastic family tradition.

Without a doubt the best version of "A Christmas Carol ". Totally worth the trip. We've been coming for 26 years and it never gets old, a family tradition.

Great place to see a Broadway show without breaking the bank

Always loved NSMT until the last time a I was here..both my bf and I had to leave early because our backs were killing from uncomfortable chairs. Show was great though

Hidden gem. One of the best venues on the East Coast.

The "Mary Poppins" performance on 7/31/16 was superb!.....I experience theater on a regular basis, and this was one of the best plays I have seen in a long time. I am so glad my granddaughter was able to enjoy the show with her parents and me. Kudos to all involved in this delightful theater happening!

Saw the Bodyguard today. The whole cast did a magnificent performance. Whitney Houston is hard to emulate but the two lead singers nailed it.

Very impressive venue. Everything is convenient, clean, complete and perfect for theater and snacks.

Great experience at an affordable price in a delightful feeder in the round.
