I found this university the best of all.its great study environment as well as curricular activities help me a lot to learn about my subjects and also get familar with other fields.

Government College University, Faisalabad has emerged as a leading center of learning and research in a short span of time. The University with its dynamic faculty and innovative syllabi has become a catalyst of intellectual, social and industrial change. It caters to the diverse needs of society by imparting education in almost all the major fields of learning. The Government College University s journey started as a primary school in 1897 in the present building of Govt. College for Women, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. It was promoted to High School and Intermediate College in 1905 and 1924 respectively. It was elevated to the degree level in 1933 and postgraduate disciplines were introduced in 1963. The long journey that started with the humble beginning reached its climax when it was granted the status of University in October 2002.

Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF): There are about 43 Nobel laureates associated with GC University, Faisalabad. The famous physicist Ernest Rutherford worked here in the early 20th century and suggested the Rutherford Model of atomic structure while at GC University which was then an intermediate college, later given the status of university in 2002.

Luminaries like Abdul Hameed, W.H.F. Armstrong, Lala Chattan Annand, Hashmat Khan, Taj Khyal, Namdar Khan, Karamat Hussain Jafari, Mukhtar Mahmood Qureshi, Dr. Asif Iqbal Khan and Dr. Arif Zaidi have also served this institution.

The government of the Punjab declared Government College, Faisalabad an autonomous institution in 1990. The college was given the status of university on 23 October 2002.

There are more than 45 departments in GCUF including Electrical Engineering and Pharmacy. The electrical engineering department is affiliated with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Pharmacy is affiliated with Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP).

The constituent colleges consists of Arts and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Information Studies, Pharmacy college, Management and Administrative Sciences, and Islamic and Oriental Learning.

It s a government based educational institute. The environment is quite here but there is too much rush of students because of congested departments. It feels like a railway platform.

It is beautiful to look at but I don't know what the delivery of education is like

I was a student of GCUF English (Linguistics), in my past 4 years i learnt a lot from this University, all talented faculty and work.

This is the main campus of G.C university.In campus a lot of department.but good in BS(chemistry),BS (Math),BS(physics).this is goveronment sector.get to admission to this university is difficult.if you got admission then you easily clear degree.because this is famous to get GPA above 3 easily .

Nice environment. Cameras cover every inch of campus. Secure and safe buildings with all precautionary measures visible in case of emergency. All in all, a nice university.

Today was my interview in GCUF Old campus,
I am so excited for complete the process for job in GCUF. I have done a great job in front of commitee members in GCUF.

Unprofessional staff... Never picked the phone! Government should think about it!

Its average not so good not so bad
But I'll not recommende this university whoever want to study software engineering from this university because there is no staff and labs available and also not good transport system

I am student of BS Computer Science at this university and this place is full of experience and diverse cultures where people come from all over Pakistan.
