A very nice lookout. Must visit if you re in Melbourne, however needs to be utilized differently to make it more attractive. Maybe a bar or a small food outlet would make it a bit more than just a lookout.

Eureka Tower is named after the Eureka Stockade, a rebellion during the Victorian gold rush in 1854. This has been incorporated into the design, with the building's gold crown representing the gold rush and a red stripe representing the blood spilt during the revolt. The blue glass cladding that covers most of the building represents the blue background of the stockade's flag and the white lines also represent the Eureka Stockade flag. The white horizontal stripes also represent markings on a surveyor's measuring staff.

At the base of the tower is an art installation containing bees inside a white box, resembling a manmade beehive. There are two regular sized bees outside the box, and one queen bee on the top. The gold colour of the bees complements the gold at the top of the tower. The installation was created by Richard Stringer and Nonda Katsalidis, and was complete in December 2007

Went there as a sole tourist. Quite a good experience. Starts with the lift taking you upside at a great speed that you feel deafness. Seeing the city from that height is ecstatic and a great view. When you get out of that room to feel the environment, its really cold up there. Also tried the edge. It wasn't that scary as it looked like. Perhaps the glass got initial scratches so it doesnt look so clear now. Couldnt get the details of vertigo so missed that experience

Better than the big ferris wheel they have. Students get a discount and there's a gift shop with good selection of items. You have unlimited time to see the 360 degree views. We went during the sunset which had spectacular views. There's also an outdoor viewdeck. 4 stars because of misleading marketing where you can stand on a glass box. You actually have to pay extra for that which isn't stated in the marketing material.

Great view around the city. Sad thing was some good spots though were already covered by establishments. Still a good way to see Melbourne from above. Pricing as of Aug 2019: $25/adult. Additional $12 for the Edge experience.

Nice sightseeing location!

Nice sightseeing location!
It s worth to visit if you are around. Personally I think the best timing is after sunset to get the night view! This is amazing!

Great place to view the city. Lift takes you to the skydeck. There is an outside caged viewing deck but it's very windy. Definitely worth a visit to see the whole of Melbourne including things like the MCG and botanical gardens.

Extremely crowded with tourists during the nice. It was a cold winter night but the ventilation was so bad inside that it was stuffy and smelly plus started to sweat a little. I really hope they fix that as otherwise it reallt is a great experience seeing the city and reading about different buildings.
