The sound and lighting are great. I was a bit surprised at how worn and damaged many of the floors, seats ans surfaces were. It's a very new theatre, but its condition belies its age. The staff was helpful and friendly.
No place to wait to pick people up but it's obvious that lots of people need precisely that - to be picked up. What does it take to just build in a few spots for vehicles to wait as staff or visitors get out of the building? As things are, vehicles need to wait by the side of the building. There is actually space to wait in the lay by area at the front - but waiting is prohibited and the guards can be zealous about it.
View is obstructed, sound system was tinny for first half. Huge queues for the single concession stand.
Able to cater for 1000+ guest. Good audio system. About 10mins walk from one-north mrt station.
It's the most difficult place for me to find work direct from the studio.
Always through third party agent.
Such a nice campus. Wished my office was like this.
Security some not friendly and very rude (^ ^ ) ( ^-^)
Pretty environment although it is quite far away from the nearest MRT Station. Around 10mins walk
Its good but not as good as the dorian one in Singapore. Taxis rather hard to hal but fortunately there is grab anywhere
It is not allowed to bring food and drink in, the air conditioner inside is very cold.
Huge theater with great acoustics!! Really like the comfy seats here! :)
Big hall. Three floors altogether with visibility from the upper stalls adequate... but let's face it, sitting up in the nosebleed seats is far from the stage and actors look tiny.
Not enough toilets. Go during the show not at intermission or after... coz there will be a massive queue.
Food court (Third Place) is ok. Only one kopi place open there on a Saturday morning. It's ok. Parking is good unless there is an event there in which case there isn't enough parking.
Newer and better studio spaces than the old one at Caldecott Hill, but I missed the soul of the old one
Chairs armrest in the theatre is of hardwood material, walkway at the halls weren't carpeted, not child friendly.
Nice place. But the carpark a bit small if there is a carnival with concert
Nice place to hang out. Melba Cafe and StyleXStyle Cafe which are open to the public, so is the food court.
New theatre that is a rival to the Esplanade. Only thing that sets it apart is that it is brand new.
Not very accessible as the nearest mrt is at One North station of the Circle Line which is nearly one kilometre away.
Car park wise.... It has only about 250 lots. Rather small.
To enter the paid carpark, you'd have to turn into Stars Ave. The entrance is opposite Tanglin Trust School. But.......! The first entrance you'd see in your right is the unloading entrance. The normal paid entrance is some distance further.
Very good theatre but very few toilets, causing the queue for female toilets to be more than 50 people during intermissions
Nice ambience during the weekends for some family fun! Big space on grass patch for young children to run around
Nice theatre for events. Location is not easy to find but sound system is good
Modern and well equipped studio. However capacity is a bit small and staff not so well trained.
There are 2 car parks, one is for visitors and the other for staff, however, directions are not clear.
my school took us there, the guide was extremely funny & nice.
It is a blessing to experience the professionalism of the people working here.
Television and radio broadcasting centre of Singapore
It's still relatively new, spacious, plenty of open spaces for families to picnic in the open or friends to catch up over a cuppa at the cafe.
Walkway from the car park isn't fully sheltered from rain.
Compared to the TV Theatre at Caldecott Hill, this new theatre is surely a must go to enjoy world class entertainment.
Nice theatre and you have a good intimate view of the performance. My only grouse is that if you go by , you are going to get wet walking from car park to theatre if it rains
Especially like the old broadcast centre. Quite sad that Mediacorp will leave this place...
Sound system was not balanced very well - at points the instruments were drowning out the actors' singing. Acoustics not great.
They are also unnaturally rigid about bringing even a water bottle into the theatre premises.
Very big campus but there are signs to tell you where you are and the places for some specific things like the Mediacorp experience tour.
Not much eateries place if watching show on weekend.
The theater was very large with several levels. The seats are quite comfortable but the arm rest have sharp corners that may be dangerous for young children. There is only one exit for the audience and the corridor outside the theater will be quite packed after a performance. There could be more trash bins around. I had to keep my trash on me for quite long before I finally found a bin.
It s like tvb at Lohas Park in Cannes
TV City
I saw it and wanted to invent the Star Dream
you have NO idea what they did to me.. walked in asking for directions and coming out DRENCHED in saliva of the receptionist. she basically did the ice bucket challenge on me. all i did was ask how her day was and she threw a fit. can i speak to your managers?
With perfect facilities, the environment is quiet and tidy.
Disappointed that there's not enough eatery places during the opening of swan lake..only one stall in the food court is open. Really disappointed, luckily for us we had a small bite while rest who came later were fraustrated.. Cos i believe most came after work.. To the rest of other patrons who is coming here pls, take note.. Have your dinner first before coming.. :)
The fantastic infrastructure is the way of various entrance systems. TV is set to watch live broadcasting. Water and food are not permitted. The seats are comfortable. Wherever you sit, the stage looks spacious. Camera moves do not cover the audience. Outside is a coffee shop and food store. Platform lights, viewer lights are separate. The sound is accurate.
Car park linking to the theatre has very little shelter, poor architecture design.
Fantastic building, so futuristic and probably my second-favorite office ever.
Gorgeous campus which houses the most recognized media company in Singapore! You may chance upon local casts as you enter their entrance and into high-ceiling lobby. Location-wise is not too convenient via public transport. Approximately 10-minute long walking distance from one-north MRT Station, mostly unsheltered.
