I had the rabbit. It was amazing and did not taste too game like. The waiter was humorous and nice. We got in right when our reservation was scheduled.

An incredible experience! The food was what dreams are made of and the service was impeccable. We will undoubtedly return!
Great Italian experience. Don't fill up on the foaccia, although it's excellent. Hard to decide on entree', they're all exciting. Worth the drive
Nice place , good food , recommended for having meal with family or friends
Beautiful setting, impeccable service, delicious food, and a great selection of wines.
We go to this place at least once a month. Service and food has always been spectacular. Start out with the burrata. It's a type of super creamy mozzarella, made in house, that is decadently delicious. I'm a bit boring as I tend to get the lasagna over and over. IT is the most perfectly light lasagna. Add some bolognese for an incredible experience. Finish with the sfini. You'll thank me later.
I had never been to this Restaurant before and I really enjoyed my first time experience there. My husband and I really enjoyed the food options. There were so many options, we wanted to order half of the menu. The atmosphere was very inviting. We plan to go back again.
Excellent Italian food in Driftwood. This is a higher end restaurant with a great wine selection. Definitely the kind of place you need to take your time and enjoy yourself. If you are on a budget or time constraints then this might not be the place for you. The property is very nice with water fountains and a vineyard
Food excellent beautiful grounds atmosphere great and Py our waitress was beyond the BEST. Would recommend this a e to everyone.
This was a beautiful place chosen as a wedding dinner. They have some familiar dishes and also some that are not usually found at a "normal" run-of-the-mill restaurant.
Love this place. Great relaxing atmosphere and the closest thing you can get to Tuscan food and feel in Texas
Amazing food in beautiful setting. Very Mediterranean looking. Truly a gem
A jewel of a venue! Rustic, Tuscan and elegant all in one. From the reception bar to the crackling fire place to the homeland decor this place is a gem for all in the hill country. Menu was sufficient and the food amazing! The meatball appetizer blew me away... So delicious. Impressive wine selection and even beers from Italy. I do wish the chairs were more comfy as they are just hard wood chairs. Otherwise this place is a must for Italian food and wine lovers.
PS ...it sits right next to a winery, so enjoy it all.

This place was a great surprise out in the sticks! :) Family oriented with good wine selection and great atmosphere.
Food and service are excellent, have never had a bad experience here.
Good portions, great service, good price, and the bread and olive oil was to die for!
I don't know why I keep coming back here, the idea of this place just always seems better than the reality. I've tried a lot of different items on their menu and the only thing I can really recommend is the prosciutto Pizza. The atmosphere is fantastic and the wait staff are okay. But the food is unremarkable.
Best Italian food, decore, and service in Dripping Springs!!!
Party of 12, 3 of us had a meat entree, (lamb and ribeye), due to a miscommunication in the kitchen the meat entrees were about 10 minutes behind the rest of the party. The manager actually brought the dishes out and apologized for the mixup. All the food was great along with the waitress keeping us up to date. Then she brought the check and informed us that all 3 meat dishes had been comped. Great food, great service, a place that values its customers!
We order the 3 meatballs plate to start and a Cesar Salad!! The Meatballs were fantastic!! You can taste the different meats that they grind together.
The pizza was a prosciutto with arugula on top the crust airy and crunchy with drizzle of olive oil or
Home made Honey on the crust OMG !!
Wait staff is great !! You feel like in Italy great experience and the Duchman winery is walking distance!!!! Great wines !!
Our visit today was excellent. There was plenty of space near the windows, food was great, service was great, and the food came out pretty quickly.
Faith was an absolute wonderful server! She gave great recommendations and provided lots of insight into the food and wine offerings. Food was wonderful! Prosciutto pizza was killer and Caesar salad with grilled scallops was my favorite! Thank you Faith!
Came here for a birthday dinner. Wasn't crowded at all, and I loved the ambiance. Our waiter, Carlo, was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic highly recommend if you're looking for a casual feel with stellar food and service! Saw lots of families so I would definitely say it's kid friendly
Beautiful views, delicious food, great playground for kiddos
Disappointing birthday celebration
On Jan.25 I and 7 family members went to our favorite restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had made reservation on Open Table and stated we would be celebrating my birthday. We have celebrated a few important events here in the past. We got seated a little early and all was well. After our meal my guests all ordered ice cream. I waited a little while and then my husband reminded the waitress of my birthday. The waitress brought out a plate with a single candle on it! Other
guests at neighboring tables looked and pointed. The people at the other table asked what happened? My husband asked the staff what was this all about? He was told that they now ONLY put a white table cloth on the table for celebrations. I guess I got more than others with a candle on a plate because my waitress felt bad for me. We will not be coming here for special events anymore maybe just lunch. Why ask if we are celebrating something special and then offer nothing. Not even a phone call to tell us of policy changes. I guess new management is getting cheap!Very disappointed former customer.
A very comfortable, elegant place to enjoy an excellent meal. Staff is great, Alex in particular deserves a shout out.
I do not understand how this place has such good reviews. The food is all one note. It is so greasy and salty. The only thing I can think is that people go to the vineyard and get really drunk before eating the food so they don't realize how awful the food is? Or maybe because this is out in the middle of no where, the patrons just don't have much to compare it to? Either way, the food sucks. Plain and simple. The views are nice, and there is a vineyard, which are the only redeeming qualities.
Went here with friends, based on recommendations from them and another couple. Thanks OpenTable, for the reservations! This place is a gem in the small town of Driftwood. Everything was top notch. The local area and the facility are absolutely gorgeous. The hostesses greeted us with big smiles and seated us 15 minutes before our reservations. Our server was stellar: attentive, a good balance between hands off and checking in, professional, personable, and above all just damned. He took time to tell us about his recent backpacking travels. Ambiance is relaxing, warm, and Texas welcoming. Menu was varied but nicely focused. I went with the primi: Lasagna Bolognese (holy crap!) and secundi: lamb chops, rare (of course) (soft enough to cut with a buttah knife, tasty, and juicy). Esposa went with fettuccine (OMG). Our friends ordered a mushroom pizza: the crust was perfectly charred, thin, crispy and topped with sinfully delicious toppings. We washed all of this down with a lovely bottle of 2011 Toscana Rosso (rated 4.2 by Vivino and 9.1 by Delectable): smooth, complex, loaded with dark cherries and balanced with light tannins. Got better with decanting. All in all, this restaurant (90 minutes' drive from Boerne) was stellar. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will return here again and again!
Excellent food, great wine and spirits. Some craft beers. Great atmosphere. Servers are well above average especially considering the semi-remote location. So, servuce is great, food is great and facility is very nice. They are excellent at handling groups, as that is a very common occurrence. Based on my personal experience of 4 visits, they can easily handle parties of 12-20 with fast and attentive service. Food delivered was well presented hot and delicious.
This place is fantastic. I had the pleasure of doing some work for the owner and he threw in a complimentary meal. It was so good I brought my family back today and it was even better. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some great food at a great location.
Wonderful food, great service, festive decorations. Annual tradition for my family.
Trevor our waiter was very knowledgeable & did a fabulous job! The food was outstanding & the vew was so beautiful!
The osco busco and Bolognese sauce best in the area
The food was fantastic. The waiter was very attentive. We cant wait to go back.Everything was perfect and we highly recommend this to all. It was worth the drive
Beautiful vineyard setting wonderful food and drink
The food here is awesome! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Service is well timed and you can tell these people know what they re doing. I would definitely recommend a meal here if you re in the area!
They need more stars on this. Been dozen times always been fantastic.
We really enjoyed our experience out here. I consider myself pretty well versed on Italian food and this was up there. Great service and decent price for what you get.
Outstanding. We were here for a rehearsal dinner. Amazing food, wine, and views. Service was stellar.
Seafood risotto is out of this world love it. And this is my place to go when I am out in Dripping Spring my hole family love it.
Excellent food quality. Friendly helpful staff. A little far to get to though.
Love this place, the food, the atmosphere, the service, are all wonderful.
The wine was good. The calamari was outstanding. Everything else we had was average at best. We didn't finish any of our other dishes.
Excellent service, warm atmosphere, and delicious food; A perfect spot for an exquisite meal with someone special.
This is our favorite "nice" restaurant in the area. Our go to spot for anniversary dinner or just when we want a great meal. Traditional Italian with a lot of grilled meats. The antipasto is always our first course. It varies depending on what they have available but always excellent. After that, there are many options from pasta to risotto to veggies & meat. Don't forget to leave room for dessert or Gelato.
Best bread on earth, fantastic wines, and great dish selection.
Went to Trattoria for the first time after being recommended years ago. Trekked down from north Austin, and it was worth every second. From the helpful bartender walking us through their wine selections, to the wait staff being extremely helpful, we couldn t have been happier. Now onto the food. We started out with the focaccia style bread and olive oil, that was airy and fluffy and paired that with some ravioli nudi. This had a creamy taste that paired wonderfully with the spinach and ricotta. We then moved onto the linguine allo scoglio. Scallops cooked to perfection with mussels and large shrimp scattered throughout, this plate was everything i wanted! We finished this off with some gelato for the ride home.
Would recommend this place to anyone willing to make the trek out here, even on a Wednesday evening!
Great atmosphere and fabulous food. Next door to a winery.
The food was not as good as previous visits, but still good. The osso buco was a little salty.
A really great place to have special events such as weddings, communions , etc. Service is great .
Had our son's rehearsal dinner here. Chase and all of our servers couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. Outstanding experience!
Amazing! Went with a large party and had incredible food and drinks. Great service.
Excellent food but small portions, especially for the price. Service was outstanding.
Fantastic! From dinner to dessert, and service. Everything was top notch.
This is hands down the best Italian food in Texas. I come from the Chicago area, which has more guineas than you can count and this is up to par. My pure blood italian grandmother is in heaven here. Also, they make one of the best Ribeyes I have ever had. 10/10
Beautiful restaurant with vineyard views and an authentic Mediterranean feel. LOVED my eggplant parmigiana and strangely the best starter bread I ve ever had! It s hard not to fill up on the bread alone
Top notch. Came here for my anniversary and it was definitely worth it. Have the veil, it's amazing, it just falls apart.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service, highly recommended.
What a wonderful surprise to find tucked away in the beautiful Texas Hill country. Be charmed by the setting and impressed by the service and menu.
