Westgate (formerly Hilton) is a moderately enjoyable hotel at a decent price. Since its off the strip, be prepared to drive a lot, or to pay the $15, per person, per day, for the monorail to get to the action.
One annoying factor are the sales people you'll encounter all over the main floor. If you want to remain soluble when you leave Vegas, never engage them. Pretend that you never heard them or saw them and keep moving on.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds have firm mattresses. If you like that (I do), then you'll sleep well. Of course, if you don't sleep in Vegas, then that's irrelevant. Our room had a frightening painting of a corpse-like Marilyn Monroe. We had to cover it up with a towel to get any sleep.
Expect to take a long time in the showers, because the water pressure is pretty low, so showers won't be more than a drizzle.
