Went there for my son's wedding. A big convention was in town at the time and the Westgate decided to start charging $40 to park! It's normally free! That's the reason for the 2 stars. The wedding chapel was great!!

Very old , mediocre hotel.Rooms , even when they are supposedly renovated , are old and smelly.Service is bad , even at the front desk.Only the gym and parking are decent here (actually the gym is excellent , and that s why I give two stars instead of one) and the Beni Hana restaurant. The rest is quiet bad or mediocre.Close to downtown Las Vegas (Fremont Street).I won t choose this place to stay longer than a night.

This was a beautiful hotel but the customer service from the staff was absolutely terrible me and my partner stayed here on May 13th through till May 18th we wanted to order pizza for dinner we were told by the front desk that they don't allow outside delivery witch is absolutely insane never heard of this in my life. Next finally we had a plugged toilet I called down to the front desk and the women put me through to housekeeping and was advised that someone would be right up I had to call down to the front desk 3 times to have what I was told is an engineer ??????? Really it takes an engineer to unplug a toilet what a joke then we arrived back from down town and our room wasn't touched not right I suggest keep your money and stay somewhere else

First time in Vegas this past weekend, didn't stay at Westgate so my review doesn't pertain to a guest experience. I was looking forward to seeing historic Vegas sites, none more than the spot where Elvis performed. What a disappointment! Some pictures along a hallway (with no descriptions whatsoever) and a statue of Elvis in the lobby were it. We were told the showroom where he performed hasn't changed much over the years, but sits locked when not in use; the curious aren't even allowed to peek in. His top floor suite is available for viewing IF you sign up to attend a 90 minute pitch for the hotel's resort properties. But it seems the suites have been remodeled so much over the years they look nothing like they did when Elvis lived there. Few entertainers are as closely linked to Vegas as Elvis. The Westgate seems to be doing their best to downplay the connection. What a treasure trove of history they have if they'd only embrace it.

Got locked out four times in a day. They did nothing about it but changed keys for me, wasted my time. One of the guys at the front desk told me they were going to send security up to my room to let me into my room and also try to figure out if the battery of the lock was dead. He never called security, I had to call security with my phone and thru said the front desk never called. Overall horrible customer service, terrible performance and didnt even offer coupons or compensation for my time wasted.

Don't waste your time or your money on this place. They will charge you for the room of your choice then make you down size your room when you check in. They are cheap because that is how they will treat you. Horrible customer service, if you ask too many questions they give you attitude!! They mock you even further and ask you if you need anything else and you tell what you need but they don't care and do what is convenient for them. First and last time we waste our time and money for this place!

Wonderful hotel! Great customer service AND an actual blanket on the bed!

Cons:
- We smelled mold in the bathroom and the tub had some stains.
- The two "Queen" size beds were actually full size beds.

Pros:
- Quick customer service and clean up for the mold situation in the bathroom.
- Put the two beds together for a larger bed! :)

We will be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel is a bit dated but clean. Staff interaction is good. Elevators can be over crowded at peak times in the morning and evening. Fortuna cafe is open 24hrs and quite efficient and offers enough of an offering to be satisfied

Horrible hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. To start off the check in wait time was 30mins before we actually were helped. There was only 3 people at the check in desk, line wasn't too long but for some reason they would take around 15mins with every person to check them in. A guy from the "VIP Owner" check in office came and said he could help me check in. He took about 30 secs, I asked why he did it so fast and the others were taking about 15 mins per person his response was "I'm just better". When we got to our room one of the bed sheets had blood stains. We arrived to the room at 9:30ish pm. We didn't get them changed until 11:30 pm. We called room service at 9:40 because we wanted a menu to order room service, it took 3 calls to housekeeping before we got the menu at 10:50. The hotel advertises complimentary breakfast in their website but at the front desk you don't get any info. Once you are at the buffet they try to make you pay. I asked why it said free breakfast if it wasn't included with your room, they wanted me to walk to the other side of the hotel and wait another 15-25 mins to ask if I had compliment breakfast included. I did not want to deal with it so just paid. Horrible hotel. I NEVER rate hotels no matter how bad they are but this one is just so horrible. Plus they charge you a extra $133 "resort fee" once you're here. Pathetic.

Been to Las Vegas several times & will never recommend nor will I stay here ever again! Terrible, racist experience. From the moment I checked in till the time I checked out I was reminded that my kind(Black) wasn t very much so welcome there. Infact I was informed by a timeshare tourist that this hotel infact promotes it s business to elderly Caucasian people & it s no secret. So to my brothers & sisters do yourself a favor & don t play yourself stay elsewhere in Vegas there s plenty of residency s that will appreciate your hard earned dollar

Stay away. Spend the little extra money a better hotel, you will thank yourself later.

If you are not in a renovated room, your stay will likely be not pleasant.

Many things are not working/broken, and there are corners cut EVERYWHERE (cosmetically, and amenities wise).

Westgate so far has totally botched an attempt at modern-day Vegas hospitality. It is just NOT comparable to ANYTHING on the strip, and I see why Hilton got away from this building although it was a staple for a long time. They need to focus on renovations/and getting stuff working before trying to fill up old rooms with people. I wasn't expecting much, but I could have received something better by getting a basic room at a Laquinta, Fairfield, wyndham, days inn, or other cheap hotel.

The room was nice but the fact that they tried to solicit you at every turn was a turn off. Loved that the monorail was right at the hotel but did not like the fact there was no complimentary breakfast for guests.

A historic place ( formerly Las Vegas Hilton, of Elvis fame). Massive property. Spa, weight rooms are adequate. Good sale of restaurants and shopping. Decent shows ( will get better with Barry Manilow starting. ) excellent staff but dated property. I was in one of the renovated rooms and it was fine. Lounge upgrade was good value.

The location is nice because the monorail goes right to it. The problem is the monorail didn't get us close to anything we wanted to do. We upgraded our room and ended up getting a leaky faucet in the shower that was pretty noisy especially when trying to sleep. Other than that, the rest of our stay was nice.

Buyer beware! They charge you a ridiculous $85 resort fee and claim that it's for the internet and pool usage. I never asked for wifi in my room and it was too cool outside to swim. This was a total rip off and I will never go to this place again. It's insane to make it mandatory that a person pay for something that they don't want or need.

Probably a 3 star hotel but needs updating. Bathrooms in casino area were gross. Our sheets were dirty the first day we checked in and bathroom had used soap and razor from previous guests. Room was not cleaned properly. Carpets were dirty and new soap not given daily. I had to request sheets be changed.

It s average experience considering four start hotel. Premium and signature rooms are average and having very old furniture / equipments. Rooms services is average and not much responsive. They are charging around $38 for resort fees which is really not worth for gym, pool and WiFi. This hotel really need renovation in their room, they are using very old 1990 time Honeywell thermostat device in room which does not have precise temperature control of room. Reported issues to room service are not being fixed or takes so much time with follow up. Staff of hotel is average, they really need good customer service training. Overall I would say if you are getting very cheaper deal with this hotel then it s good to go else better to try some other four start resort not this one.

SLOWEST service ever in Cordovano Joe's Pizza (which is run together with Draft Sports Bar/Grill Express and Nacho Tacos). Ordered antipasto salad...to go...waited 35 minutes from order to pickup. Checked at the pickup counter twice. First time, said they were making it. Second time, still making it. I get it that they were busy but people that had been behind me in line with complex orders like sandwiches, wings, pizza, nachos were picking up their orders long before mine was ready. Did they have to go and harvest the lettuce? What a waste of time and money!

The rooms were nice, good layout good amount of space and the bathroom was big. Also, bonus of a garden tub. However after we checked in we are pretty much hounded down by Guest Services trying to get us to sign up for their timeshare. Rather tacky and aggressive.

Stay away! Had the displeasure of staying between Christmas and New Years. First room smelled like smoke and changed to a room that didnt have hot water and had very old/cheap furniture. The smell of marijuana reeks thoughout the hallways. The casino is small and is where the old slot machines go to die. Food in the cafe is marginal at best. Only good thing was the non-smoking sports book. They are trying to sell you on a timeshare and it would be a bad investment. Off the strip and beer cost $9 a bottle. Need I say more? Stay away!

I stayed at the hotel last month, October 2020. It was surreal to find the strip so quiet due to COVID but I experienced the same quality room, same good experience at check in and check out, same accessible parking, etc. It's a good drama-free (I say that in contrast to more in-bound Strip locations) place to stay with your family, maybe for a day or two. No, it is not perfect but who are the people demanding perfection? It works for me and I'll keep coming back. I especially like the self-serve free parking. Makes it quick to come, quick to go. And, I have always gotten a room facing the mountains --which is a great view if you're into that.

This hotel needs some updating. The "view" elevator is filthy and reeks. The decor is dated. The staff is not helpful at all. My friend got hit in the head by some adults throwing a hard ball in the pool; little kids were being hit too. I finally took the ball and security came out and accused me of stealing. Really? He said I should give the ball back (which I did) and he would come out and confiscate it of they started throwing it again. Not 5 minutes later the ball started flying across the pool again. I called security and they did nothing. I called two different managers on duty (Jason and Eric), they did nothing. Promised that they would take care of it but nothing. I finally ended up leaving because it wasn't safe to go in the pool. I contacted the GM, Lance McCauley, and never received a response. Spend extra money and go to a nice hotel with decent guests. Horrible staff.

Westgate (formerly Hilton) is a moderately enjoyable hotel at a decent price. Since its off the strip, be prepared to drive a lot, or to pay the $15, per person, per day, for the monorail to get to the action.

One annoying factor are the sales people you'll encounter all over the main floor. If you want to remain soluble when you leave Vegas, never engage them. Pretend that you never heard them or saw them and keep moving on.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds have firm mattresses. If you like that (I do), then you'll sleep well. Of course, if you don't sleep in Vegas, then that's irrelevant. Our room had a frightening painting of a corpse-like Marilyn Monroe. We had to cover it up with a towel to get any sleep.

Expect to take a long time in the showers, because the water pressure is pretty low, so showers won't be more than a drizzle.

Horrible service. Promised and paid for a lot of amenities in advance and received none. Hotel host was in contact for weeks before the trip but would not answer a call the second I landed. She reserved me a limo from airport to west gate. When I arrived there was no limo and she wouldn t answer. I had to uber. When I got to hotel she never reserved me a room. Took hours on the phone and waiting to get the room. Was staying in the owners sweet. Was promised all these amenities and got nothing. Was told had free cabana in my price by hotel host. When I got there the front desk they said no. Front desk took no accountability and would not answer anything. Wouldn t answer any questions I had. Service was horrible and slow.

Stayed at the Westgate for four nights for a business trip. You can definitely tell the room are dated. The showers seem as if they are from the early 80s. Water leaks when you run the shower. Room have a stale smell. Curtains seem from the 80s too. Honestly it is the affordable option to avoid staying on the strip. I honestly would have gave it three starts as the bed was comfortable BUT I ordered room service and not only did I get charged a $10 delivery fee ....when I m already paying $30 A DAY for the resort fee (which really made me feel nickel and dimed) THEY ALSO NEVER PICKED UP THR TRAY. It sat outside my room for TWO DAYS! I even called room service to remind them to do their job...if they can t do that I wonder what else is not being cleaned. Gross!

My prepaid reservation was not honored, had to change rooms in the middle of the stay, VERY INCONVENIENT. On top they requested an extra deposit for the "better" room I was in for part of the stay. When I got the invoice and credit card booking it was confusing to say the least. I'm still not sure if the initial deposit (after booking) was considered.

I feel cheated and if it's just because of the room change that coincidentally ruined the whole thing.

Horrible

Was there for Infocomm, at the last Vegas convention center, and had to park and walk through the hotel. It seemed very nice, and very clean. It also had a lot of outside light, which other casinos don't usually have. All in all seemed like a nice place to stay, and have a conference in.

Quite poor customer service. They almost seemed to go out of their way to avoid accommodating our requests. One night they called and woke up my fiancee, who was sick, at 11:30pm. Another morning, we waited over an hour for room service, only for them to call and tell us they rang everything up wrong, and if we still wanted our food it would cost 50% more than the original quote and would take another 30 minutes. "Do you still want it?" they asked, without a hint of irony.

The rooms are outdated, a little smelly, and noisy, but these are the least of Westgate's problems. I'll charitably agree to call this a casino; it's anything but a "resort".

Initially gave it 2 stars but changing my review to 1 star.
1) The room air conditioning is pathetic. No matter what temp you set it to, in about 20 mins it resets and goes back to 70 irrespective anything. And in the middle of the night, that's the last thing i want... To wake up and set the ac a number of times.
2) The tv remote stopped working. Called guest service, they basically said "live with it"

The hotel is nice and access to the strip by the monorail was great.
Also the Serenity Spa was fabulous.

However our room experience was not the best. We upgraded to a suite on arrival. The TV in the living area did not work and the tub water would not turn off completely and ran constantly. I reported this for two days with no response. Finally someone came and said the TV needed replacing and nothing was ever done about the constant running water in the tub. Also we did not have hot water one day for a shower.
