With the good weather, I decided to go for a walk last night down to Ealing Broadway with my mate to get some food. There's a massive selection of restaurants down there, but I had been to most of them before. We checked out a few menus outside some restaurants close by but nothing caught our eye. A few more steps and we stumbled across Limeyard, I didn't even know it existed, but the menu seemed pretty good as I love American style food and drinks.
As we stepped inside, we were greeted by Tom, who was more than helpful. He told us that there was a booth becoming available at any moment so we sat at the bar and ordered a drink while we were waiting. the barman was very cheerful and made us a couple of really tasty cocktails. I had the Koko Mojo which is a coconut Mojito which I had never heard of, it was so nice. My friend ordered a classic Margarita which was really good too. I asked the barman what food he would usually go for and he said the Coca Cola Ribs or the Californian Chicken Burger. Also he told me that the place was only open about 6 months or so.
We ordered a half yard of tacos, my friend is a veggie so he had 3 veggie ones and I had 3 beef brisket ones which were tasty bites to start us off. There was so much on the menu that I didn't know what to order for a main, and Tom was serving us and he also recommended the ribs, which I thought would be too messy, so I ordered the Californian Chicken Burger which was really nice, it had guacamole and mango salsa which was really summery food, and it came with sweet potato fries which were perfectly crisp, a lot of places under cook them in my opinion and they're usually too soft.
My friend ordered the Halloumi and Grilled Vegetable Burger which he loved, it looked really good. the dessert menu looked really good but I was stuffed after the main, pity! I'm also kicking myself that I didn't order the ribs as I saw a photo of them on Twitter after I got home, they look amazing. Next time I will definitely be ordering them, no question. I will be there regularly as the food and the staff were excellent and the place has a relaxed vibe to it aswell, really nice place and something that Ealing Broadway needed.
Cheers to Tom and all of the staff!
