Been to Leyton Orient FC stadium at Brisbane Road ...

Been to Leyton Orient FC stadium at Brisbane Road a couple of times in the past in support of Northampton Town FC. A memorable visit was on Boxing Day 1996 when we followed Cobblers to the FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIV 3 fixture on Thursday 26-Dec-1996 only to succumb 2-1 to the 'Orient'.

What was memorable that day? Well it wasn't the stadium for sure, because they were in the throes of redevelopment at that time and it was a bit of a building-site. What was memorable that day was that Orient featured in their ranks the former England 'keeper Peter Shilton between the sticks. At that time he had only just racked-up his 1,000th league appearance a few days previously [22-Dec-96] so we were attending his 1,001st! Much as we cheered the old boy on, he was in truth a shadow of his former self, with his goal-kicks & clearances barely reaching the half-way line.

Jan-2020 Postscript: managed to fit in a personal birthday treat hospitality visit to Brisbane Rd for a Cobblers 1-1 draw.

Great ground for the level- however I feel the away fans would be better situated behind one of the goals. Fans not particularly friendly- but fantastically well equipped stadium with bars and club shop. Definitely worth a visit

Neat ground for the lower leagues. A lot of pillars obstructing view in the away stand. The decision to search every single away fan led to lots of us missing the start of the match even though we arrived in good time. Use some common sense please. 65 year old men do not attempt to bring flares ito the ground.

Nice stadium with a nice pitch, shame to see them leave the Football League so haven't visited in 7 months. I remember good food for a good price, great stewards and view considering there are pillars.

Great real ale bar and wonderful service. As a Barnet fan staff were also bemused that we are held as rivals by the press when we've never felt that way as club fans! Away supporters please visit after the match as it is the best football ground for beer in the country.

Orient vs. Vs. Hartlepool final score 0: 0
Game was not great but great atmosphere in this old stadium.
You can not see 6800 spectators in a 5th league game every day!

A decent stadium that improved greatly over years with the construction of three new stands fianced in part by off some off Brisbane Road to a property developer hence why the corners off the ground have been filled with residential apartments which if you follow Leyton Orient could be cool as you can watch the match from your flat if its facing the pitch .An intresting fact that for 48 years the Club were known as Clapton Orient. They change their name to Leyton Orient in 1946

We arrived to buy our tickets and said in conversation that we had cime over from Hong Kong. As we were about to taje a photo in the reception area, a gentleman told us to follow him. He took us through the players tunnel on to pitch to take our picture. This was such a great touch, and shows how smaller clubs value fans. Thank you.

It was a nice ground but the stand i was in for my visit was run down and dirty. The stewards were useless and would stop talking and being the most passionate of fans instead of watching the fans. The football was decent and the atmosphere was good.

It s a great old school ground which has a nice atmosphere when Orient are on top. Away stand could do with upgrading as when I went it had wooden seats at the back and plenty of supporting pillars.

Good ground. Food is reasonable, tickets are cheap. Often take my son, who spent a few years in the junior teams, as it's too expensive to take him to Premier League matches every week. You can get great seats, very close, and still usually able to buy on match day.
