LAC-USC Medical Center Review

Doctors are Good. Nurses are okay. But System Is worst like 3rd country. They always let me wait at least 4hours with an appointment. They should change system.

I gave birth in this hospital and I loved the staff and nurses. Very attentive.

Emergency Room. These people have great attitudes. Very positive. The x rays guys are hilarious. Joshua is terrific. I felt cared about; by everyone. Really great place to get helped. Thank you.

For my elbow fracture did it all in the show accept the surgery, that was been really nice and kind

The facility is as clean as possible as far as i know the staff has been helpful.
One thing is the patience in the E.R. your not sure if you are going to catch something worse than what you have and it stinks like piss and B.O. in the waiting room.

Here you are well taken care of when you need alluda medica so do not feel bad and if so, go here and they will serve you as mereses, but I hope you do not need it ok

The nurses and doctor were so helpful and thorough. The pharmacy is also fast. However, i dislike the wait time. It took us 9 hours for my wife and I to finish the whole thing (we came in around 9pm and went out around 6am the next day).

I never went to Los Angeles because I am ten years old but I will go there one day

During the Covid 19 pandemic LAC-USC Nurses in general have been very accommodating to the families of patients, especially Nurse Eilene in 4-C -118 nursing station. Due to these changes Nurse Eilene gave us updates since we couldn't have contact, no visitors and limited communication... however it is dissappointing when a Nurse (Eddie at the same nurses station) tells you, "I don't have that patient on my assigned roster," yet when I asked if he could transfer (after being transferred to 3 other nursing stations & people) he says, "Oh, I do have him. He was just given to me right this moment, but A l'm very busy right now, I'll call you later..." That's absolutely sad and unacceptable when you can't be there and your family member is fighting through a possible Multiple Leukemia Cancer diagnosis. I hope this Nurse Eddie does not ever have a loved one under similar circumstances because it's heartbreaking to feel helpless with nurses like him with no bedside manner and compassion. How he got to be a nurse is beside me...I hope his mother never gets this kind of treatment.

I have been here multiple times with kidney problems and every time the staff and doctors have been great the emergency care might be a wait but it is a general hospital you know that you might have to wait hours. Aside of thay the care was great when treating my kidney issues.

I've been there in the last 2 weeks. Their staff is getting better. More friendly. The doctors are really nice and try to be very thorough with you.

Doctor's and nurses are very nice. I love this hospital make you feel at home.

It's been a fine training establishment, definitely not as nice as huntington though!

I have waited 5 months to see a neuro surgeon with a refer from the san fernando Valley Olive view hospital. Never got to see him. Also I was told to go to the ER General Hospital and I'd see a doctor quicker and then I can get an appointment to see the neuro surgeon. After 15 hours in the ER waiting I still didn't see the doctor. They took my blood pressure ever 4 hours. I went home in serious pain. After going back to my general practitioner the doctor added on a new illness and told me to have General Hospital Drs. to call his clinic. Like, have your people call my people bull mess. I'm going vegan and I'll take my chances with Yoga, stretching, acupuncture cupping, massages and meditation. Still in lot's of pain though. to add insult to my injury I am on hold as I type to General Hospital to file a complaint. SMDH. If you go, take breakfast lunch and dinner for two days. Watch out for the suspects too.

Dr. Evelyn Mitchell scheduled my surgery and then flaked while I was under anesthesia. Her staff lost my lab tests three times and exposed me to unnecessary medical risks out of pure negligence. I've otherwise had great experiences at LAC USC, but this was so deeply troubling. Her CA license is 147620.

I would want to know if this is a good place for Labor and Delivering?...

An ambulance too me the ccrt team was nice to me but I was self harming and they put me in a room with other teenagers that was okay but the point is you dont get privacy when you wear the gowns on your body in the morning they say keep the door slightly cracked like you dont get that much privacy even they said you have to keep the door slightly cracked when you go to the bathroom and they asked me repeatedly like are you okay and it just was making me angry in my head and I didnt get to sleep in a actual bed I was sleeping on a leather blue garden chair they dont even give you pillows to sleep on for your head at night the food there some were okay the pizza was good fries were disgusting crunchy bland taste they had a cookie that was alright the juice the eggs were hard as stone I put it in my mouth and I refused to eat the nurses are like literally saying if you dont eat the food their going to keep you at that place longer if your put on a 72 hour watch for self harm cutting if you dont eat their food they have to keep you there longer so just try your best to eat their disgusting bland food.

Good people here. They kinda saved my life not so long ago.

I love this hospital, even though it s a teaching hospital I still go there. I been a patient there since 2012. They have gotten tremendously better. Waiting for an appointment is a challenge but now days every hospital is like that almost. I like there because they have everything you need right there, you don t have to go out for other services. They have a lot of patients there that should tell you something about that hospital. People s from other clinics are coming there with or without insurance because they have everything there. Keep up the good work LAC/USC.

It's a crap of staff everything they do grudgingly is horrible this hospital

Although I divide the large number of patients very late you always receive the help you need

I am trying to make an appointment for my refills. I drove all the way to Los Angeles thru LA morning traffic. They told me that they sent my prescription to my pharmacy and drove back to El Monte, just to find out they didn t. My pharmacy told me the hospital needed me to make an appointment, which I am trying to do for the last 2.5 hours and still waiting. This is ridiculous. I would even wait in the DMV because I would at least been seen.

Today I had attention in general medicine and the attention is fast and efficient

Waiting for my doctor, having notified me today, new results.

Takes at least an hour after your appointment to bring you in. And forget some things what you needed to be done

The service is excellent and the doctors and nurses are too.

I'm blessed and privileged to have insurance and come here.

Don't know why they bother setting appointments because it's useless. You wait hours and hours before you can see a doctor.

This hospital is a hit and miss.. There's really helpful, caring and competent nurses and staff and then there are LAZY people with attitudes who cut corners and get away with it. This place really needs a management overhaul. At least some units do.

Very bad service. My appointment was at 11am for an ontology yearly checkup. It's 2 :00 PM and I haven't been seen yet.

Wonderful experience. The nurses and doctors are very kind and friendly. A bit of a wait sometimes but not if you come during the weekdays. 4 stars only because I don't like hospitals but this place made me feel safe and secure in my health.

I liked that I cared best for my daughter, doctors, nurses, espesialistas, and without rasismo, there do not distinguish color or race, and t attend as if you t conosieran, respect and kindness, graze all those perzonas, God bless me

My husband was dying of liver failure when he was taken to lac+usc, where they saved his life. Thank you to all the wonderful team that aided in his recovery

HORRIBLE. I spent 12 hours here with my boyfriend. They are so unprofessional. I will say that the doctor that saw my boyfriend was extremely helpful and there was a lady who kept me updated. I'm an African American woman. I hate to say it but with the exception of a few, a lot of the blacks and mexicans were not acting professional. The whites and Asians that I came across were professional, super helpful, and informative. The lady that checked us in was ghetto to the max!!!! My boyfriend wass sitting in front of her in so much pain and she was just dancing and playing fake football with the security guard. WTH!!!!! I pray that I never have to go to that place again. I was there from 7pm to 7:30am. Get insurance, it's not worth it.

I am using USC hospital and doctors, they gave me the best care possible specially Dr. Jeffry Loh Doyle In urologist department And dr. Jessica Chang in Eye center.

Man therapist was rude yelling at me when I didn't yell at her she thinks just because she knows means I'm gonna be submissive and do what she's asking i can do what I want my moms in this hospital alright have more respect alright

3 hours and a half so far waiting in the emergency room with my wife who has symptoms of stroke or something else, doctors are having a long break and no body is taking care of the patients ... r u serious? ?? this is ridiculous and wrong. .. not even acceptable in other low class countries

The receptionist was really nice at least. When I went there most of the staff were women which is a huge plus for me 'cause even though men understand certain things medically, it's good to have a women who has been there done that..and it was just a perfect experience.

Radiology has worsen service and looks like it keeps getting worst. First of why do ultrasounds with no picture film! No precious memories of baby ! Oh but if u ask for them u need to file a paper copy wait another 1-2hrs plus ! Like ppl have nothing else to do. Second making appointments to radiology is crazy nd be sure to get a paper print when making your app because ive come twise for and app. And i was not given right time or date. Then waiting time to schedule is over a month ! So if you have something serious ull probably dye before u get to know wth it is.

Lack of service .. waited almost 6 hours to get treated ...i waited 3 hours to get ct scan . Heaters doesn t work . Waited 6 hours to see the doctor after the ct scan ... customer service Zero ... This place must have taken so many innocent lives .. so disappointed .....

The ER, been here 5 hrs, there's a woman right here right now, passed on the ground and I belive she should be seen, she's been here before I was. Oddly enough the order of people actually being seen are in the following one person every 45 minutes. So explain to me how one woman hasn't been helped and is still on the ground? Oh and the restrooms..... disgusting... but that's just the ER.....

Absolutely , I thanks so much all the Doctor &Nurse at Emergency place & PICU (8 floor). They helped my daughter pass to the dangerous time . Last time , I'm so scare & nervous for my daughter , I'm worrying to everything . So two more day , she's be fine , I'm so happy , that's time I Known , Every Doctor in LAC&USC Medical center , they're the best .Actually , you&me don't like the first step when you're come in Hospital , the Man security, Ladies security checking everypeople but that's is safety for you&Another people . This place saved my life. Very thankful for the services I received 20 years ago. So glad to see the huge improvement of the hospital.

I give them 100% all caring nurses and doctors. answer all questions provide great service. if you don't have health insurance go there. they will not turn you away. ya they making fill out papers. they get their money through donors, caring people. I owed $10,000.one year later, the women said someone paid it. Thank you.

The place is huge. Applied for Ability to Pay financials and they staff was quick, professional and nice. Getting an appointment is another story.

Service is fine, but dealing with billing or any sort of administrative processes is hell. Seriously do not go here. Their billing department gives you different information every time you call, its practically impossible to update your address if you move, and they won t re-send a bill if it went to the wrong address or was misplaced. They also won t refer you to any outside practitioner if you want to move your business elsewhere, so you ll have to start over.

My son Alberto Palacios is here. The specialists are too kind and nurses. GOD always bless you so you can help the community.

Anyone know how you attend to the delivery there one

The attending staffers are, for the most part, extremely kind and efficient, although unfortunately some pick and choose which patients they will see; and as it is a teaching school you may encounter residents who may have passed exams but have absolutely no people skills.

My name is Virginia Arevalo I would like to make a big complaint about this hospital that is just negligence where I had my daughter it's going to be a year ago has suffered actually decided tag and a major heart attack due to doctors not really paying attention to her or giving her anything I really feel that they should really find better nurses and better doctors I feel that they need more training and I feel for those who have lost lost lost one because it's not a good feeling to dues any kind of any family but I just want to let everybody know that this is the worst Hospital ever in California can anybody take anybody to get medical attention thank you very much

Wouldn t recommend coming here unless you want to wait a whole day to get seen by a doctor. 12+ @ the emergency room is not worth it. Some of the staff are nice and understanding but overall it s not worth it.

Came here with stomach pain. Doc prescribed Flameproof (it's just Primrose, not one mention it's over the counter...) and gave me a small cup of some magnesium mix to settle my stomach.

Horrible Dental dept. (except the one who took my bf dental consultation today)... They hadnt responded to appoximately 3msg left on there msg syst.in a span of almost 30+ DAYS-in regards to booking an appointment even though bf had a refferal. Some of there Dental staff were condescending and dismissive of my bf situation... Just not right !

E/R AND TRIAGE WERE GREAT AND HANDLE MY BF SITUATION SERIOUSLY and were in disbelief of there fellow dept. Actions...

2nd Dentist my bf saw blamed on miscommunication...smh

If it was someone with $$$ there little to very little room for error from late oct-december.
