The Kingdom of Dreams, also known as KOD sits majestically in Gurugram (Previously Gurgaon) and is India's first live entertainment, leisure and theatre destination. It is a magnificent structure and glitters merrily in sector 29. It offers visitors a taste of contemporary and modern India through the means of interactive tableaus, galleys, and arts. Inside the Kingdom of Dreams, Culture Gully, India's first-ever skydome has stalls capturing the culture of fourteen different states with local fine arts, cuisines and street arts. With two international standard theatres and advanced state-of-art technology, it promises to take you on a mystical and unforgettable journey of diverse culture, lifestyle, and traditions of different parts of India.
Things to see: There are three things to see. i) Zangoora, a live stage show. It is a musical act worth watching once. Usually they have one show per day. The show is of nearly 2 hours duration. ii) Jhumroo, a musical comedy similar to Zangoora and iii) Culture gully- it is inside a big hall. Something like a mall with a theme. The hall is completely covered and air-conditioned. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops. All are decorated in different themes from different states of India. There are puppet shows, dances, music etc. Worth watching once. Inside the campus of KOD, there are three theaters. One each for the above three (zangoora, Jhumroo and Culture Gully). Parking: They have a huge parking space within the campus and it is free. I found a lot of open parking spaces even on a Sunday. In the worst case, you have another huge open parking jus outside the entrance of KOD. Entry, tickets and other expenses: From May 2018, the revised ticket norms are as follows. There are two kinds of entry tickets. One for the show (Zangoora or Jhumroo) and the other for the culture gully. Minimum entry fee is Rs 600. It includes entry to the culture gully. In the culture gully you can redeem the entire Rs 600 for food. Cost of food is a bit exorbitant. A dosa costs Rs 165. Carry your own water bottle. Water is costly too. If you buy a ticket for a show (like zhangoora), you have complementary entry to the culture gully, but no complementary food. You have to buy everything you eat there. Even if you do not eat anything, culture gully is quite a nice place, where you can spend a few hours. Puppet shows etc are free and open to all. There are games for kids also-they are not free. Tickets for zangoora or jhumroo cost nearly Rs 1000 to 3000 per head. There are different types of tickets (bronze, silver, gold..), details of which are there in the KOD website. I found that silver and bronze seats are also fine. Ask for seats closer to the stage. The view from the seats even on the extreme sides are also great. However, view from the upper deck (balcony) is probably not that great. Tickets for shows are nearly Rs 500 costlier on weekends. There is also a musical fountain near KOD (not part of KOD). Include it in your itinerary. I strongly recommend Zangoora. Senior citizens and kids will also enjoy. Sound levels are a bit high inside the theatre and may not be good for kids below 2 years. For a weekend trip, you have to spend nearly Rs 2400 per head (show ticket Rs 2100 (silver), 1 dosa in culture gully- Rs 165 and a vada-pao during the show in the theater-Rs 80).

I went there with my family.
You buy tickets and the same amount of money is given to you to spend it inside.
The ground floor floor is mainly eatries.
The buildings are designed according to various themes like old bollywood cinemas, different states of india and so on.
We didn't go for any live shows since they were very expensive.
If its raining outside like cats and dogs and you've got no where to go, then go to this place.

Had been here for weekend fun, you need to pay 600 bucks per person as entry fees which you could consume in the form of food available at various counters for food. There are food options which represents various states of India. There are cultural dances which artists perform time to time which one could enjoy. Good place for one time visit and fun you could also have drinks like beer and alcohol from the counter. Allover nice place for family as there is place for kids too !

This is a fun place. A basic theme underlines the eclectic collage on view here: India, on a micro view. India is showcased on a micro scale with each state represented by its cuisine and by some of its ubiquitous landmarks. These compact and micro displays of India's states is called 'The Cultural Gallery'.

The other part of the KoD is the Theatre. The Theatre and The Cultural Gallery are two individuated dimensions of this magnificent folk arts and Indian cuisine gallery. For an in depth review of the KoD, you will have to scour their website.

The moment you enter the large venue of the cultural gallery inside, the breathtaking replication of a blue sky on its curved dome above mesmerises you as it did me when it practically took my breath away the first time I looked at it. The floor below this artificially created replica of a blue sky is dimly lit, and a major portion of the place created as an outdoor restaurant below a blue sky, with tables and chairs in orderly rows. To the right of the tables and chairs are micro kitchens serving the main delicacies of each state of the country. After sundown, its exteriors are illuminated majestically. There are camel hunchback rides for children along with games for both kids and adults on its periphery close to the entrance, bang opposite the ticket counter. We ate at a Tibetan restaurant located to the left upon entry inside the cultural gallery of the KoD and the food was awesome. Their soups were tasty and without the usual aftermath of feeling bloated, although it could cut a substantial hole in one's pocket . Also, the menu on offer at all the other kitchen counters is definitely not middle class. At the Hyderabadi counter, the Dum Ghost Biryani [ 650/] was served in a steel bowl. The basmati was dry and the mutton pieces could have done with a little more steaming. On the other hand, the moong ke mangode [ 150/] from the chaat counter was simply awesome, as was the pav bhaji from the Mumbai counter [ 165/] The Dum Ghost can give you the shock of your life from not only the quantity served, but from its low quality.

Conclusion: this is a fun place.

I heard a lot about show performance for zangoora and it was as per expectation

The surprise element was management and maintenance staff of this property ...in winters they don't have temperature control as basic facility and it is ridiculous to feel the pain when you are paying 10 times of high-end movie theatre price

When I reached to staff office they said ..we can give you blanket
Now imagine if you pay Rs. 3000 per person for movie ticket at INOX or PVR and if it is cold inside and you are offered blanket :)

Also washrooms and common areas are also not well maintained

You will love this place. The show at nautanki mahal are what you may have heard about. But honestly these are far below the level at which these started. But then the culture gallery is amazing experience. It has representations from different parts of country. Must try Ice Ninja, they'll make natural flavors of your choice right inferring of you... Amazing.
Especially as you enter,....and from broad daylight, if it's day time, you are in for a very present surprise.

Kingdom of dreams is really a nice concept to bring all the cultures of India together at one place. You can enjoy different cultural food, dance, shopping items below one shed. It was really a nice experience being at this place. You can come enjoy with your family and friends over here. All of the above, this kind of concept should be adopted everywhere so that people can enjoy different things in one place.

Zangoora is a spectacular Musical and display for classic choreography from one of the best dancers in India. Was awesome experience to walk thru the spectacular street with different experience from each state. It is an amazing place. Specially for those who love to see different cultures of India. Pros are it's beautiful, elegant and fancy with good food and some shopping arenas and place for kids as well. Cons are : 1.non refundable amount if you are have culture gully ticket only. Also, limited food options. And shopping is bit overpriced.

Wonderful place for visiting for live theatre show Zangoora a fantasy & Jhmroo a live comedy act. Entery tickets are costly but worth watching. Always prefer for ground floor entry ticket as balcony is not proper place for good visibility. Good food court with multi cuisine flavours with different state theme. Overall a good place for visiting with family & friends.

Overcrowded and overpriced. Good for one time... There were approx 2000 people in Cultur gully hd to wait for around 40 mins to get a table to hv some food.
The thing which was quite unfair to charge full amount even for >=2 years old kid and they don't allow kids toddler inside the show even if he is enjoying or sleeping... I had attended Alcazar show in Thailand with my 18 months old son and neither they charged for him nor they stopped us to take him inside. They should consider these points.

The Zangoora show is amazing and it's a one-time watch. However, the experience would be memorable. The only thing is that the ticket is on the expensive side and even the Culture Gulley has expensive menus.

It's a cool place to visit with friends n family. The build is very nice and some of the culture gullies are very good. Reason for reducing 1 star is that the passes are a bit costly and u have to spend complete entry fee on too costly items; even if u don't want to, cause otherwise the money is wasted.
