A official hotel and restaurant where mostly official people are coming. A nice and relax place.

It's a hotly-fledged car, which most government officials are traveling to.

I was there in June 2013 for 5 days. The service was great, the rooms more than comfortable, the athletic facilities (including a swimmable pool) were world-class. I'd defintely recommend it for a short or extended stay in Kabul. I ate at the buffet 3 meals a day. Towards the end it did get a bit dull-- but so would any buffet. Stick to the Afghan dishes and try the shiesh-ke-bob. Coffee shop and pool side service are also good.

Now for the elephant in the room- security. Two barriers and armed guards are everywhere. I felt very safe there although I'm sure the place could be hit. But I'd bet it is about as safe as you can get in an inherently dangerous part of the world-- just as well be in comfort. If you are paranoid about all Afghans or Afghan looking people you will not be comfortable-- but then if you are you probably shouldn't be in Kabul.

We had a good time there, but if we could get a Shisha in pool bar would be awesome

Good but no need to body search the expats. They are not a source of threat but people vulnerable to the attacks and need your protection. This cannot be for our own safety, come on!

Hotel is aight but food is not as good as expected and the worst thing is there is no parking at all. Not worth the money.

As they are expensive, their facilities are not world class but it is best in the country

Very nice Hotel , very nice food and spicy dishes with very fresh ingredients and flavours , also safe place for all , there is very unique Masjed to pray inside the hotel. God bless Afghanistan.
