People come here with great expectations and their expectations are met to the highest of standard,s but the food could be better
Beautiful green environment. Great service and friendly staff. Need to improve Food variety.
I stayed at Highlanders suite with my family including 3 year old daughter. Had ample outdoor activities to do.
Situated far from the city hidden in the mountains, this hotel is worth trying for a leisure vacation. The road to hotel is a bit bendy and hard to drive at nights. It is at the top of Hunas falls and is very different from an ordinary hotel due to its location and the surrounding wilderness.
The staff is very friendly and polite. Rooms are clean n tidy but some amenities are missing so have to ask from the reception for those items (iron board etc).
Food is good, they have a buffet or a set menu from which you can choose things accordingly. It has fairly good collection of English and SriLankan dishes but the main interest for us was the desserts from the set menu, which were quite good. The staff service in the restaurant is really good.
This hotel has a wide variety of leisure time activities including hiking, waterfall hunting, birdwatching, cycling etc.
The garden and the environment is very quiet so we could enjoy the stay very much.
Located approx 24 km from Kandy market on a hill, the hotel has well laid out gardens and scenic beauty all around. Hunar galla ate major attraction nearby. The approach road to the hotel for last 10 km is narrow, damaged at places and pretty isolated during night. A good place for those who are looking for peace and solitude.
Overall good experience. But not exceptional.
Food was ok. No much selection even it's served as buffet.
Stayed in standard room. They have no tooth brushes or toothpaste in bathroom. So do not forget to bring your own.
Also they provide only 2 water bottles for 22 hours. Next day if you ask for water, you have to pay for that. That is frustrating for 4 star hotel.
People are helpful. But i noticed there is lack of stewards at the restaurant.
If you come by public transport, you can get into Wattegama-Kandy bus from kandy clock tower bus stand. From Wattegama, you have to get a tuk.
For the price you pay, i think this hotel is not much worthy.
It's an aging hotel trying best to relive the magic memories of it's early days many moons ago. Need some life & a bit of creativity in the booming niche boutique leaisure sector
great place, great view, great service, and great food :)
One of the best nature themed hotel in Sri Lanka with reasonable prices and excellent service. Located near the senic waterfall "hunnasfalls" and "hunnas lake". They also have a very own hiking rout. If your in search of natural relaxation, here is the place
The garden and environment is excellent. View is fantastic. Outside activities and facilities are great as well. In Room facilities and food are average. Overall a great place to spend a vacation in.
Great Atmosphere!
Very friendly staffs!
Best place for relaxation!
This is a hotel with beautiful gardens, small waterfalls surrounding.
From the location of one of the most beautiful hotels of our trip, located on the edge of the Knuckles Mountain Range at 900 meters altitude. The view from our room alone, was pure enjoyment and relaxation. It attracted a beautiful pool and even a beautiful golf course. The food was delicious, the service very attentive. In the evening, the hotel has organized a beautiful campfire for our group. A great mood with music and singing. The following day, we made a four-hour hike 300 yards up the tea plantations. Here I would have liked to have a week holiday.
Service is very good. Food is Okey. Very nice environment. Calm place
Lovely view from the hotel, peace and quiet but around 1hour drive to Kandy town
Little bit expensive, but the experience is worthwhile, eco friendly great location, access roads are not that great, they are below average
Beautiful hotel. Well maintained garden. Good service. Food was good
The road leading up to the hotel is in extremely bad condition. Whilst dangerous, it is also not responsible on the part of the Hotels' Management to allow guests to travel here under these conditions.
We are extremely disappointed with the Hotel and its Management which caused serious damage to the vehicle we were traveling in. This is NOT acceptable and we CAUTION all travelers to Hotel. We believe the Hotel should not operate and accommodate guests until such time the road leading up to the hotel has been repaired.
One of luxurious resort in Sri Lanka.
Friendly and kind staff with extraordinary service. Highly recommended for your leisure stay. They have perfect arrangements for honeymoon stays.
Excellent on food, clean rooms and suites.
Free wifi available,
Parking available.
3 to 4 hrs away from colombo
Many attractions near by
1 hr to kandy city
Beautiful location situated on top of a mountain, away from Kandy city limits. Rooms are nice and clean. Pool is also good but there is no kids pool. Food is tasty and have a good variety as well.
Well maintained hotel... Beautiful scenery only turn off was the prices... It wasn't worth it
Hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature. A good place to relax
Very nice hotel and romantic place to visit for your Honeymoon. Staff is very hood.. Road to get there is bit damaged though. Very close to the Hunnasgiriya falls. Also sembuwaththa Lake is very close to the hotel. But better to get there with a vehicle which have a good ground clearence. View from the hotel is brethtaking and the surroundings are very calm and peaceful. Rooms are really comfortable and grand. Food is also tasty. There are honeymoon packages are awesome but look for special offers section and in the remarks just mention that you are coming for the honeymoon. cost will be cut in more than half if you book a room with special offers. You will also get most of the special additions with that if you mention that.you are coming for the honeymoon. Best of luck on your visit. Further do not forget to bring a good camera as you have many photo shooting opportunities. You can get a tour guide if you want to go for a hike to the nearby mountain and you can also walk around the lake and they will arrange a swimming sessions in the upper part of the hunnas falls if you request specially. But to cover all these activities you will need more than two days.
Amaya hunasfall is one of the most popular honey moon hotel in srilanka. Very beautiful environment. Once you go there you will feel you are in a separated world and once you leave from there then you feel the difference. Specially food and service is awesome.
Perfect location for a nature resort, surrounding is beautiful. Friendly staff with excellent service. Rooms too ordinary and nothing special to mention. Food variety is also not much and taste is also average. A whole lot of activities to do. Way to the hotel is almost ok, but not carpeted about 4km close to the hotel. However, recommend to spend your holiday in a lonely location.
Friendly staff
If you are interested in a small hiking experience while on stay, this place can recommend. Also, our room had a great view and they had a nice garden which I love the most.
I'm an average food enthused person but here food was below the average. They provided us with a set menu but the food was really cold and had to ask to heat up. Then the room quality was not okay for the paying, because we had to ask for cleaning up the room due to the bad smell coming out of the carpet and no tea and sugar bags were in the room.
This a romantic place. Mesmerizing atmosphere. There is a beautiful lake which can be stating point of lower Hunnas falls, gives hotel a wonderful scenery. Walking track around the lake and though the garden/ golf course.
Small swimming pool, badminton court, golf course, helipad are available.
Main restaurant is face to lake.
Rooms are large, carpeted and have beautiful view with individual balconies.
3 buffet were served with breakfast and dinner with one live cooking place. Most of the time only one chef were at the Living cooking place and it had a big demand.
Car park is at a little bit distant place.
It is one of the most beautiful hotels in Sri Lanka I have been to, and the second one is very few, so beautiful. The hotel is located on the top of the mountain. The key is that there is a small lake here, but the water pool may be more appropriate because it is too small. Because of this lake, a small waterfall was formed from the cliff beside the lake. Although the waterfall is not large, it forms a beautiful natural scenery with the lush landscape surrounding it. Come to Sri Lanka, go to the ancient capital of Kandy, in fact, you can arrange a few days here, will definitely let you linger.
beautiful place, fantastic rooms very helpful staff.
food is testy but all three day's meals are
same no change at all.

A perfect location, nice garden and surrounding. A must go place in life. rooms are not much large, wash rooms are small and packed. food and service is very good. nice place for honeymoon. can watch the upper hunnas falls within the hotel and the lower hunnas falls on the way to hotel. the garden is very nice and well maintained. food buffet contains more choices also live stations and good choices for deserts. leaches are there, should careful when waking within the garden. pools is very much cold.
Road leading up to the hotel is a bit rough and winding but the views are nice. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Stayed here with family over the weekend. Really nice location. Rooms are quite spacious and luxurious. Dinner buffet was a bit dull but the Morning and lunch buffets were awesome. Pool was very clean and pool staff was very attentive.
Very beautiful hotel. There is a lake in down side of the hotel & you can have a boat ride too. Every room has a grate view.
Location n Accommodation is so nice..but its foods r too bad
A beautiful hotel with a wonderful view, with gardens, lake, waterfalls, golf course, swimming pool, walking and cycling, worth a visit for those who visit Serlenka.
What a terrible communication. Telephone operators answer only during office hours.
Great place for relaxing with your family and loved one.
Really nice hotel to visit, with stunning views. Really do visit upper Hunas waterfalls, it's free but a bit of hike, well worth it.
Place is very very beautiful . Garden is very well maintain. Although limited variety, food taste good. staff v helpful and service efficient .
Like a super luxury hotel.Cool and great atmospheric place
Nice view. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Can do many out door sports and activities.
A beautifully location away from the hustle bustle. At the time we were there weather changed from completely sunny to extremely misty conditions with rain. That itself is very rare these days but something one can admire
This is a great hotel for recreation and relaxation. It is located about a half hour from the city of Kandy, but Li enjoys the comfort of living there, and there is also a beautiful lake near it called Paradise of the World. Abdulaziz Al-Kulaib is a member of the Arab Travelers Group
We had a wonderful time at Amaya HunnasFalls. Staff was very friendly and dedicated for serving their customers in an efficient manner. The location, the view from the hotel grounds was amazing and heavenly.
Location and not in dreams .. You sleep in the midst of clouds ... Fairy look ... Staff are very friendly ... Disadvantages Away from everything from the market and shops .. Buffet prices are relatively high ... Wi-Fi coverage is cut off and not excellent
A beautiful and magical place. Being in Sri Lanka you have to see it. recommend
One of the hotels which does have amazing views. Had a nice weeke end there. Enjoyed very much. There wasnt thatuch of food varieties. Food was delicious. Friendly staff.
Hi all this is one of the beautiful hotel. They have the beautiful garden as well as the environment. If you are going to This hotel you can go to Sembuwatta Lake also. They have good food for dinner but the lunch is not that much of a good.
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Stunning views.
The hotel has a fantastic panorama view, the food is good,
It is surrounded by a lake, waterfall and nature views, excellent handling and service, wonderful atmosphere suitable for relaxation and romance
The road to the hotel is difficult and tiring
Leeches are found around the resort and in the area in general
nice location. surrounded by beautiful mountain. nice view.
Peace & nature meets to celebrate wonder of creations
This is one of the best hotel in Sri Lanka with a fabulous landscaping.
Very nice place to enjoy with bird watching & to have a bath in a natural waterfall.
A Beautiful hotel with nice views and excellent hospitality given !!!
Most aesthetically pleasing, relaxing, and iconic places I've ever been to. Most of the time its misty and foggy. This distinct weather pattern will most definitely lure your inner love for the nature. The architecture of the structure really complements the and natural surroundings. Road is a bit rough but definitely worth the trip.
The only hotel in the area is one of the most beautiful locations
We spent 2 nights in 2012 jan and it was amazing, yesterday (26th June 17) we visited again to get to know package details for a friend's wedding. Still the place looks same & even better. Staff is so polite and friendly. Recommended mainly for Honeymoon Couples. Totally worth the cost.
Calm and quiet mind resting place and excellent service with fine dine in!!!
Highly recommend this hotel. Located in a very beatuful location. Breathtaking views. Very good staff. Very friendly and helpful. Food is good. A must visit.
Tranquility at it's best. Beautiful hotel with a best mountain view
The famous thing about the hotel is that its lake is wonderful, and the truth is that it is an artificial lake that is not distinguished by anything. It is also famous that there are wonderful waterfalls next to the hotel, and the truth is that it is only one waterfall and only young people can reach it and you are exposed to insects while you go to it .. I do not recommend living in the hotel except for conservative families to not The presence of nudity scenes and the abundance of Arabs in it .. If you want to live in it, it will not exceed one night!
Take in mind that 90% of the hotel s population is Arab - the hotel contains only 29 rooms and two suites - the hotel is very, very gloomy, day or night, knowing that the time of our presence in the hotel was full - the road to the hotel is very bad and takes an hour and a half from Kandy, half An hour travels on an unpaved road - all hotel rooms are not overlooking the lake - the air conditioning is bad especially at noon - there is no internet at all (there is a paid internet at the lobby, but it is often down) - the reservation was (payment upon arrival) and when we wanted to pay we were surprised by a very high amount They protested that it was the tax that was not calculated on the site, we then calculated the tax by multiplying the amount with the tax value and the amount appeared to us less, they apologized with stupid excuses - the hotel refused to give us a separate bed despite our request when booking and asked to pay 10 dollars for the extra bed and when I brought the reservation sheet and the request was written in it They gave us the bed for free - upon departure they obliged us to pay the value of the water available for the tea, which is distributed for free in all hotels - the hotel is infested with insects due to the presence of the artificial lake and the forest adjacent to the hotel
I visited the hotel in 2013. It was really amazing. Staff was very friendly, food was superb, and the location was really something. Unfortunately stayed only for 2 days.
Perfect place for a view of sunrise and sunset. Reserve room number 215, 216 for best views. Food is delicious. No need to make a lengthy review. This place is super.
One of the best place out of kandy . Highly recommended for teens who would love to have a good time with the nature vibe and any adults to spent time with family .
Best place to spend ur romantic honeymoon or the anniversary..... fine food with a fine environmnt on top of a great service by the staff... couldnt ask for more
