Great stay, clean and new, great service, friendly, modern. Excellent food!

Great stay and the salmon dinner and red wine was very tasty.

A wonderful hotel! Thank you for your care in maintaining a super clean and sparkling facility! Immaculate rooms with comfortable beds make for a special expirence. Well-laid out bathrooms with luxurious towels combine to make mornings special! Really enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker in the room! Delicious and easy-to-make with no chance for fumbling with components of coffee in the morning, just sit back and enjoy! Thank you for a great visit!

The facility and people there are great. Just want to warn folks to make sure you do not leave any jewelry in the room. Missing a Pandora bracelet. btw, if you are not aware, the hotel is not responsible for items stolen---you sign that away at registration.

Was very busy, but professional and prompt. Clean and located near shopping areas.

Room was clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Bar maid was on top of our drinks. Coffee front desk was amazing!

Well first of all this place is a joke! They were advertising a New year's party bash whatever online. You couldn't fit but 20 people in this bar! We had to sit on the other side of the bar by the lobby just to hear the music and we couldn't even see the bar or the band. We drove 40 minutes to be able to have a party for New year's and not have to drive or pay taxi while drinking of course, and it was just miserable.and all of this in the front door of the hotel LOL! There a joke and whoever design and set up this party definitely needs to go work at McDonald's flipping burgers because they are an idiot.then they put us in a room right beside an exhaust system to the restaurant so sleeping was very very difficult. Not to mention try to sleep when every door in this building slams shut and rattles. Half the time my card key didn't even work.when my wife went to the desk to check out and complain about many other things not mentioned on this review and the things mentioned course, the lady at the desk was either slow or didn't care. They charged us too much for the reservation we made online and I still haven't got my portion back on my card yet. I can seriously go on and on... Way overpriced for this cheap Holiday inn. Definitely go somewhere else. There's many better choices very close to this one. we were going to go swimming by the way but it was just a big bathtub. Oh yeah one more thing, they're having a New year's bash party? The band was booked from 7 to 10 which also all the tables were taken with reservations for dinner from 7 to 10. But they advertise this which means anybody who got sucked into this deserves a full refund! I will be calling corporate over this and getting mine that is for sure! How are you going to advertise a New year's party when the band stops at 10 and your bar holds 20 people? Pathetic

Great friendly staff. Food at onsite TK Grille is fantastic. If in Effingham or just traveling through give the Holiday Inn a go, you won't be disappointed.

Very clean hotel and rooms. Comfy beds. THE MUSIC THOUGH... My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary and wanted to be away from home in peace and quiet but there's an extremely loud, live band playing damn near outside our window. I had a long drive today and all I want is to rest, but not even the sound from the AC can drown out the guitar noise and the singing/screaming. Would never have stayed here if I knew it was like that

We've stayed in this Holiday Inn the last several years when visiting family for Thanksgiving. It's convenient, affordable, clean, and the staff is friendly. The Lobby is very nice and I really enjoy the complimentary fruit infused water and coffee they have throughout the day. Definitely would recommend for anyone traveling to or through the Effingham area.

Not all it's cracked up to be . The internet is very poor and it's a pain when trying to do business online. The room was clean but nothing like a 3.5 star hotel should be . I stay in on average 60 hotels a year and I have to say this one is extremely over priced for what you get . Or don't get. There is a hotel just down the street that is just as nice if not nicer with many more amenities for half the price .

Lobby and check in staff were inviting and welcoming. Rooms are clean and taken care of. Great indoor pool and hot tub!

I stayed at the Holiday inn in Effingham Il. My room had two queen beds. The entire hotel was modern and clean. The staff were professional and friendly, especially Brian the "new" bartender. If you are passing through Effingham and need a room this is a great place to stay.

After driving for 10 hours you would expect the Holiday Inn to be a great place to get some sleep. NOT. The walls are super thin, you can here here the conversations in the next room along with the TV and the radio. When I called the front desk I was told there was nothing they could do and that they had ear plugs down stairs.

I will take a Holiday Inn Express any day over a full service Holiday Inn. So disappointed and for the price I paid for the night.

So if you want to get a good night's sleep don't come to the Holiday Inn in Effingham, IL at 1301 Mid America Ave.

Certainly what I expect of IHG facility. Good service. Clean. Well maintained. Some unusual hiccups with the IHG system getting a receipt to me, but it does not happen every time. I'll stay again.

My family and I stayed here on our way back to Chicago from South Carolina. I haven't stayed at Holiday Inn since I was a kid. I was pleasantly surprised with all the nice updates, the rooms were pleasantly decorated, very clean and the staff is friendly. My son accidentally broke a dish at the counter when eating breakfast and they were very kind and gracious about it. I then realized I had forgotten my Kindle under my pillow when I got home I called the hotel and left a message with the manager Heather. When my voicemail with our address was accidentally deleted she graciously mailed it back to me after my phone follow up call FedEx at no charge. That kind of service definitely encourages me to stop back there for another stay when we travel back to South Carolina.

This was my second time here. If I have the chance to stay here again, I will. I might even drive out of my way for it. The restaurant staff were amazingly friendly and made the stay extra special. The folks at the check in counter were equally nice.

Beautiful, upscale Holiday Inn at a reasonable price.

Room was very nice and clean. Staff friendly but could not really help with the issue. We had one room for one night . Ended up with close to 700 dollars worth of charges on my card for a one night stay. The night gal told me it was for a charge in case the room is damaged. That was 195.59. Then another charge of 145.59 appeared about 15 minutes later. When I checked my card in the morning I had another charge of almost 300.00 worth of charges on card just for a one night stay. The front desk could not help get this corrected and needed the manage to get this taken care of. Not until I called l and told them I was going to call the police and report them did this get resolved. Did not receive a call a email or anything not even a apology from the manager .. It took 4 days for all the charges to come off my card and ruined my vacation from having all these charges on my card and had to use another form of payment for everything else.. Please watch your charges on your card!!!!!!

The hotel was what I expect from a Holiday Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean with the amenities I expect. I especially liked the mint & citrus soap.

Pricing was different from what we were told over phone as my brother called for me I was driving. They told him $20 less than we paid, they told me that was the taxes.
The beds are very nice and so many pillows to pick from. The restaurant was nice and staff here very good along with the foods we ordered.

Clean hotel, great friendly staff. Only downside is there is no free continental breakfast, but there is a Panera drive thru actually the street if you are in a rush.

I really enjoyed the wedding reception we attended at the Holiday Inn with attached party center. We had a blast! The hotel was very nice and we slept well in the comfortable bed.

The place was busy, very expensive campers stayed there. Tgi Fridays next door. Room was super nice. Quiet for the most part. Stormed at 0200 till 0400, which were quite loud. Breakfast was good...french toast was delicious from the in house restaurant.

The hotel in itself was beautiful and clean. The service at the front desk was lack luster but the Lincoln room was beautiful and perfect for the event.

One of the best Holiday Inn hotels that we've stayed at.

Went there for a conference. Meeting space was large enough for our 50 people. Lunch was the usual conference lunch. It tasted okay and was ready on time.

Hotel was very nice. however, they took away the continental breakfast. its expected these days, at least by me. lol. hotel was clean and staff was friendly.

Nice hotel. Our room and the one meeting room we were in were pleasant and clean. Front desk and wait staff were friendly and efficient, as was the maid we saw. Only downsides were 1) the hot tub jets were not working, so it was just a tub of hot water; 2) there was no place to hang up bath towels so you can use them more than one day, the bathroom was quite small and had no vent fan, and the door would not stay open. In fairness, the hot tub problem might have only been that weekend, but I had really been looking forward to using it after being on the road all day. The 1-star rating reduction is mostly for the bathroom. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but it smelled good, and there are many other eating places very close, including a TGIFridays right across the parking lot.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very professional. The rooms were very conveniently located next to the event as well as near shopping essentials for last minute needs. The amenities were just right without being too much to take in.

While our stay at the location was a short unplanned stay, the accommodations were reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable. We would stay here again if we were in the area and needed a place to stay.

The hotel was very clean. The front desk person was friendly and went out of her way to help us. The rooms were well maintained also.
