HEG Ltd. World Largest Graphite Manufacturing Plant at a Single Location

this is a largest company of madhya pradesh, india which is production of graphite electrode. its company provides a job of craftsman & labour and its is a big contribution of developing for this state & country

HEG is graphite which accounts for 80% of the revenue. Set up in 1977, in technical and financial collaboration with Societe Des Electrodes Et Refractaires Savoie (SERS), a subsidiary of Pechiney of France, HEG is now the largest integrated graphite plant in the world. Spread over an area of about 170 acres, HEG (graphite division) has facilities for production of Graphite Electrodes and Graphite Specialities. Its plant is located at Mandideep near Bhopal (MP).

The plant has a annual capacity to make 80,000 MT of UHP grade electrodes. It has three captive power generation facilities which can together produce around 77 MW which fulfills almost the entire requirement of the graphite plant.

HEG also has a dedicated R&D Set-up for Carbon and Graphite.

I visited it during college industrial trip.HEG is engaged in a leading manufacturer and exporter of graphite electrodes in India and operates worlds largest single-site integrated graphite electrodes plant. But I was disappointed by the guide because he don't give proper information.

Only place of Madhya Pradesh which produce graphite electrodes and corbon alloys , located at national Highway 12 in mandideep.
