Harris Teeter, Inc Review

For lunch and dinner during the week- you can't beat the hot asian buffet, fresh prepared sushi, salad bar, pizza bar, or sub shop! Lunch rush is 12:15-1:30. I don't recommend going super early or super late tho. I tried to get a breakfast sandwich once and they told me they were out of eggs...at a grocery store.....

I have been shopping here since 2009 and love it. It's the entire staff that makes me happy to shop here. They go above and beyond to help me!!

I have been eating their pizza for more than a year .. but today girl chef/baker who baked my Greek pizza was the best I ever had in this location and also one of the tastiest pizzas I have ever eaten anywhere else. Thankyou <name which I don t know> , face I couldn t see because of mask. Anyways most convenient grocery store, also good stock always of everything. $7.99 - Monday full Greek pizza , any pizza

Underrated fresh pizzas! -1 star bc there was molding cantaloupe in the main area

Very convenient to my house just to run in a pick up a few things

At first it appeared as if the employees were trying to maintain safety protocols, but quickly into my trip, I saw several customers with their masks on below their chins. I watched employees interact with these customers without saying anything to them about their masks. And to top it off, one of the employees came over and coughed within inches of me. She was wearing a mask, and I hope that is enough, but she seemed more worried about getting the old receipt out of the way than respecting my space. I will not be going back during this pandemic.

More organic vegetables would be nice, but overall a great store.

Exceptionally clean and well-managed. Plenty of good stock with lots of popular items. Also a really nice deli and garage parking

I love this store, but it has a rather small selection. And all of the items are marked up a bit compared to other Harris teeters

Very well kept and convenient store in Uptown. They do not have the full selection of products as it is a smaller urban store but they do stock most of what you actually need.

A bit expensive but I guess the convenience of being in uptown makes it worth it. The staff is very courteous and respectful. They've got a decent selection of groceries and alcohol available.

Customer service was excellent.Needed a money order and money wire ,no problem.

It's a smaller scale, corner-type HT in the heart of the city. Self-check outs only.

First time even knowing this location existed Uptown Charlotte. Hidden, but so well worth finding. Beautiful facility, fresh foods, and they even have a DIARY FREE RANCH DRESSING!!!! I'm so excited! LOL! A year without the best food dressing ever because of the hormone infested cow milks in everything, I'm so happy Harris Teeter has always thought of everyone's need. Now, back to the store for WINGS!! LOL.

I have been a Harris Teeter customer for as long as I can remember! A store is always convenient, and the customer service is great! If I happen to go to another store, I need to go back to Harris Teeter to get certain items because other places don't carry them or the price is too high!! I highly recommend Harris Teeter!

This places okay if you need a basic staple. Someone their products are expired and not removed from the shelves. I have been overcharged and not given the price for sale items at times. A lot of panhandling and homeless people harassing you for money and will make rude remarks or attempt to intimidate you if they don't get what you want. People loiter and drink outside the parking entrance. A shame since it is so convience to to walk to, but just not safe for a female to go by herself.

its the only grocery store in uptown, what choice do i have. i miss wholefoods :(

Absolutely love this store, every time I'm in there I find exactly what I need. If I can't find something that I don't need all this stuff is amazing and there's no hesitation for them to help you. If you're in the Charlotte area and need a new grocery store this is the one!

Worst Harris Teeter ever. Save yourself the experience and go to Whole Foods or Trader Joe s :)

Their service is not very good. They have messed up on deli orders and mislabeled products that could cause problems for someone who is allergic to certain things. Not recommended to go to this location for anything but packaged goods that they do not make.

Their hot bar and pizza are really good. Great location those living in area. Highly recommend

Hours say open until 11. They close at 10. Don't walk here if you are in from out of town expecting them to be open.

A new low for urban grocery stores. All checkstands replaced with self-check.
Oddly arranged store with narrow isles.
I now take light rail to Publix and catch a Lyft home with my groceries.

Decent selection, small produce section. I shop at this location quite often. However , cashiers Jada and Stephonie are completely unprofessional. They barely greet the customers and during the check out process they have conversations that customers do not need to hear, such as not wanting to work and how much they are ready to cut their hours. Maybe their hours should be cut or they should be moved to the back because it s not pleasant having them up front!

If you need groceries and can't leave the area, this is the place for you. It's conveniently located and had a decent selection. On the downside, it's very cramped and a bit pricy.

Very tiny store. Very basic shopping, a great wine collection and focus as soon as you walk in the door. the subs and pizzas are the bomb!

Produce is usually rotten and no one is there to service the meat department. There is usually a 10 min wait time for anyone to service you at the meat counter.

All employees are friendly and they offer various etnicity products. I've shopping there and hope they add more space

I've stopped going here as much as I used to. Produce is always old, and the fish is not fresh. I don't really trust much of the food. I do like the sushi and the sushi chefs are friendly and fast!

I will no longer shop at this Harris Teeter or any other. I'm just tired of being profile when I go in this store location. 8:16 pm 4/12/2018 I entered the store to buy a bottle of water and a bag of chips after work. I Went to the self check out where there was a african american lady wacthing the register that walk over to the self checkout register beside me and another lady came over the store officer was already there. They watch me as I check out my two items. I grab my bag receipt walk out. The cashier that stood beside me as i check out. Come out the store and stop me as i was walking across the street to my car. She ask what register I was on confused thinking what's going on you stood beside me as check out. Embarrassed I walked back in store and showed her. When I ask why she stop me or did she need something from me proof of purchase was I being detain for anything she walk off not explaining nothing to me but I did hear say he checked out to fast. I didn't want to but myself at risk of anything so i left and called the manager. Explained my experience his response was well sir her job is to watched the register people steal. I said sir who in there right mind would try to steal something with a camera two employees and a police officer standing beside them. Then he says well I can do is apologize no concern about how I was treated. Really felt like he was just trying to get me off the phone. Very disappointed I eat lunch shop at Harris Teeter about four days out of the week. Not no more.

Smaller teeter but very convenient for me since I can walk. I had one experience with a cashier where she wasnt friendly and it seemed like I was bothering her. Guys at the deli are helpful though and other staff have been other than that one time. Anyone can have a bad day though.

It has all the basics and a good food bar. Nothing special, but a great uptown quick grocery shop that beats driving or a 7/11

Why is this location still open, I'm not understanding you have Armed police on duty but if there's a protest uptown you will close early no matter what.

I agree with Roosevelt. I am black as well and often get dirty looks coming here.
It's the only supermarket in Uptown, so I find myself here alot to get snacks and lunch. Overall good, but be aware of long lines.

Good, handy location. Long lines during peak hours are really the only downside to this teeter locale...

Every thing you would need from a grocery in a smaller store than you would find in the burbs! Everyone is ridiculously friendly!

I went to this Harris Teeter early in the morning. Everyone was nice enough, but I just wanted to buy a ticket for the Southern Christmas show. They promptly printed my ticket. I explored the store a bit and noticed there is an upstairs wine area with places to sit to eat your salad bar salad, sandwich, or hot food from the deli. Although this is a small Harris Teeter, it has character! Also, FREE PARKING in the parking deck for customers.

Pretty well stocked, though does have a smaller selection since it is in Uptown. Easy to find what you need. Parking lot is rather tight so watch out for that.

Location is very convenient but the management are mean to their staff in front of customers and rude to customers as well. Specifically Dawn. I have had numerous negative interactions with her and witnessed her berate cashiers who are working hard and seem to be doing their jobs

Love this store everybody is willing to help you find what you need. I'm always pleased with the service. And the food is good (hot food)

This Harris teeter is in my neighborhood and the one I have walked to for my food shopping (for 8 years) fresh produce being the main items which are always exceptional!! No matter what the circumstances are the management and staff always make it right. They go above and beyond.

This Harris Teeter location is nothing special and pretty dirty. Other Harris Teeters I ve been to in this area are MUCH nicer. There are actually flies in the fresh meat counter and behind the deli looks unsanitary. Thank God Whole Foods just opened in uptown so I can take my business to a much cleaner grocery store. This particular store just makes Harris Teeter look bad.

Always homeless people strolling around and begging outside the doors.

This place is very futuristic and makes you feel the booming downtown of CLT. There is a small parking lot under a building and you go through this entrance with your cart. Everything else inside is a standard Harris Teeter: They do have a unique loft where you can sit down.

Overall it is very interesting but I don t give five stars because the workers do not seem happy. This seems to be a constant trait at Harris Teeter s. Unhappy workers.
