We came to Harriman s for prime rib and steak. The food was very good and service was prompt and attentive. My daughter cannot eat butter. We did not realize it until served, it was cooked in butter. When the manager realized it he quickly replaced it.Service above our expectations!
Thanks

Hopefully this was a Monday thing we loved the old harrigans was always up to par this was our first trip to New harrigans did not even seem like the same restaurant food was disappointing atmosphere was no where near old harrigans.
Waitress - tried was polite
Appetizer great- spinach and artichoke dip
Soups - terrible salty dish water
Entree 1- driest sirloin ever mushrooms good
Entree 2 - don't even know if the chef knew what he was cooking medallions looked like trimmings off the floor and somehow the shrimp was burned and raw at the same time(kudos on making that happen somehow)
Bar drinks - terrible maybe a new guy

We ate there a few weeks ago, fantastic French onion soup, everything we ordered was wonderful, even our teas were flavored with peach. We want to come this Friday with a group of 8, but if they don t wear masks, we can t come; several of our moms are over 80. I ll be checking. One other thing they are very friendly

Better than the old one. Had the classic chicken bits with creamed spinach. It was perfect! They changed the butter they serve the bread with to a cinammon/sugar butter but you can still get regular if you ask for it. Prime rib soup was amazing! We were seated next to the kitchen. It has glass between the table and it - that was a little akward. Overall it was great! We will be back.

Worst service I have ever had. Waited over 2 hours for our meals (after the appetizers). When food finally came it was cold and you could tell it had been reheated multiple times. Tried to make it right but felt patronizing. Never even spoke to a manager. Not the Harrigan s it once was. Will not dine here again.

We loved the atmosphere and the service. Seemed like everyone was our wait staff because several people assisted our table. A little more expensive than we normally spend, but the food was delightful.

Tried Harrigan's for my wife's birthday. Service was ok our server tried but I feel the kitchen was not on point. Bar and drinks were excellent. Food was terrible soup was cold prime rib was cold than it was re - heated and re - served now over done. We were given a comp prime rib and dessert but most likely will not return to use the comps. It's unfortunate I had heard nothing but good things

Extremely disappointing brunch. The "crab" benedict was imitation crab with a drizzly hollandaise with little flavor or texture. Service was slow and distracted. Harrigan's was once my go to for a nice brunch, lunch, or dinner, but after this experience I will not be back.

The restaurant has a very nice, clean and classy interior. My youngest son and his charming girlfriend wanted to treat my husband and I to a "nice" outing at a "nice" restaurant in Lubbock. Sigh ... the food preparation was sorely lacking. Considering the prices, that should not had been an issue. The "homemade" clam chowder barely had clams. Informed they ran out, but then was told a new batch was prepared. When I received my minuscule bowl of chowder, I discovered it had warm and cold spots. Gee, how hard is it to use a microwave and to stir? Husband was bragging how good the onion soup tasted but then he stopped short. He found a clump of mysterious mush in his soup. The four of us at the table tried to identify it, but had to resort to asking our server. It was soggy bread. Why? Why put it in the soup? It looked like boiled chicken/snake skin. Wanted to order the bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp appetizer. When I asked the server if the jalapenos could be left off she told me NO, they were premade. She said to feel free to remove the peppers myself. Hmmm, why must I dissect my shrimp? This is a "nice" restaurant, not a Texas Tech science lab. Son lamented his steak was tender but lacked flavor. Fixed the issue by adding salt and pepper. Promised he would cook steaks for us during our next visit to Lubbock (Thomas makes awesome steaks ... amazing what one can learn from watching how-to videos on the internet). Even sweet Alexis was not impressed with her pasta bowl. Said it was okay but not the best. Hopefully changes will be made to make Harrigan's a great restaurant. The food should be the focus, not the ambiance.

The service was good and the food was okay. I had the ribeye steak. It was unseasoned and bland. My wife and son had the prime rib. They said it was great. Hold onto your wallet here. They are way overpriced. Better steak and more reasonable prices at Texas Roadhouse.

I always have a great experience when ever I go to Harrigan's. The food is wonderful, the service is good and the atmosphere pleasing. They have the best prime rib I've ever eaten. The Black Magic cake is another of my favorites. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First I would say is I have been eating at Harriga...

First I would say is I have been eating at Harrigans for a little over 30 years. We have been in the new Harrigans 3 times since open and two of the three times we have problems being seated. I know the owner personally and I am absolutely certain he would not allow this to happen. I would like an explanation on how the hostess is supposed to do this job because I truly watched and don't understand the order or lack of that she runs this desk. I called ahead of time at 5:00pm before leaving on a 40 minute drive to get there and asked if I could reserve a spot for 5, I was told that they don't do that and that there were plenty of tables available. So we make the drive and get there at 6:20 to be told there was a 1 hour wait we said fine we would wait pretty normal for a Saturday night in Lubbock. We waited out our hour and watched groups of people leaving and none of the groups or couples in front of us were being seated. So at 7:40 I asked the hostess where we were at she said they were getting ready to clean a table for us. While I'm standing there a group of 4 walked in the hostess handed menus and had them seated. So I asked her how they were getting seated she informed me that the had a reservation, I said you told me you don't do that and she said we do reservations. So I went and sat down and waited so at this point it is now 8:00 and we are literally the only people waiting to be seated. So I walked back to the restroom to find the restaurant is 3/4 empty. Now I understand covid distancing but there was a room with 4 large tables and they were packed. I videoed the walk back through the dining area. Now my daughter in law asked at 8:10 where we were and she said again they are cleaning a table which was empty when I walked through. As I looked at the guest list everyone that had gotten there after us was crossed of the list. Finally at 8:20 we were seated 2 hours after arriving, so we were seated in the back at a 6 person round table. This very table was empty 20 minutes earlier I have it on video. While sitting there discussing this whole problem we concluded that all the other tables were 4 person tables that must be why it took so long. After finally ordering drinks and appetizers the hostess came over next to us and took two 4 person tables and slid them together to make 8 of course. Why couldn't she have done this an hour or so earlier so we could be seated? I would really like to know the answers because it has happened two of the three times we have been there covid or no covid and I really don't understand the process at this particular place. We eat all over Lubbock and don't have this issue it's very frustrating. The food was awesome as usual the waitress worked her but off and took good care of us. Again I just would like to understand this better or get better communication that your short handed, not enough tables, or whatever your food is to good to be frustrated when you finally get seated. Thank you.

Loved the food and it would have been nice to eat at the same time as our daughter! Our table was not served together. Someone must have missed her burger on the order! This was our first daughter visit since Covid. Not even an apology! Manager served the late burger. Training issue. Epic fail!

Was THRILLED to see that Harrigan's was back! Went there tonight for my birthday. Staff told me they had the same menu and the same chef. Everything tastes the way I remember from the dark brown bread with cinnamon butter to the New Orleans potatoes to the Prime Rib soup, which is to die for! Very attentive waiter and had two managers come by to check on us. One even gave me a free brownie with ice cream after she asked if we were celebrating something today. Great place for special occasions. Knocked off one star because it is PRETTY pricey. Great food though!

I've been to Harrigan's 4 times in the last 2 months. The first 2 were great, and the last 2 were not-so-great. I won't mention the last time that I went and had the Parley-Vous Chicken and got ill, but will just mention tonight where I went with a group party. 1st, our reservations were forgotten about, 2nd, it took 45 mins to an hour to get our initial drinks and appetizers, and 3rd, after complaining and being told that commendations were being made due to our poor service, I did not see a change. I think our waitress was trying her best, but for such a nice restaurant, the timeliness tonight was just not good. It was horrible. Drinks made the night more bearable, and the wonderful company I had. Harrigan's - this is for you. Please look into this and make changes, or else Lubbock people will just not eat at your establishment any longer.

Steaks were scruptia- -deli-itious! Cooked to perfection, hot & fabulous! Zack was our waiter and he was
amazing & friendly! Atmosphere was romantic and quiet for our 25th Anniversary celebration! We couldn't have asked for anything more! Harrigan's new place is clean and the food is 2nd to none! We highly recommend it!

When I was at Texas Tech, this was my absolute favorite place to go! The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are all perfect.

I live in Austin now, but to this day I still think about the spinach and artichoke dip, the French onion soup, the red wine sauce, the perfectly cooked filets, the amazing prime rib, the New Orleans potatoes, the Texas hot brown, and both the creative and classic cocktails. Everything on the menu is great, those were just my absolute favorites. I ve never found anything that compares. I order spinach and artichoke dip and French onion soup at every restaurant that serves them and have not once found either that comes even close to how good they are at Harrigan s is. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough!

I m so happy that they were finally able to reopen in a better location and the Harrigan s tradition lives on! Harrigan s is truly a Lubbock staple and I would absolutely drive the six hours from Austin just to eat all my favorite meals there. Still my favorite restaurant ten years later.
