Wonderful historic attraction. Great views. Variety of entertainment and sites. Free parking.
Alot of history. A house that President Abraham Lincoln lived in.
Enjoyed the scenery and it was not overly crowded. The lifeguard was very helpful as well by assisting us with our injured child.
Great historical place 17 century stone fort and museum (free) also the first landing of settlers prior to landing at Jamestown.. historical buildings Chamberlain Hotel Marina and Seawall Boardwalk nice for a stroll along the Beach.
This a great place to go for a walk, the beach is rarely crowded, and the breeze it terrific. There are a few local specialty shops opening as well.
Always fun the guys on pier make it the most fun weather you catch or not. Great fun.
Did not have time to see everything. Need to go back and take more time.
It was hot, but I loved it. Look forward to going again. I will say that the jellyfish were out and close to the shore. People kept getting stung.
Beautiful and very peaceful! Found a spot near the water to hear the waves crash and just meditate.
Very nice for swimming too. The kids love it!
Nice little beach hidden away. Dont forget to go to Paradise beach club also
Great, beautiful grounds, great for biking, walking and running.
Nice fishing spot actually cought a tagged black Bass, released him unharmed and received a gift in mail
Great place to visit. Beautiful Visitor Center.
Signing to find places is not very good.
Great place to take a stroll alongside the water. Also has some interesting historical structures.
A beautiful historic destination for the family!
Dress comfy, wear comfy shoes because there's lots of walking to do. Make sure you have a whole day to be here.
Had a good time touring the fort and learning about it, I wish I could have spent more time here.
Pretty cool place if you like history. It's free to tour the fort and see everything, though it's self guided. Also a cool free museum, the Casemate museum. Self guided with a lot of artifacts and displays to go through and a cute little shop at the end.
Great beach, nice beach club POC, and a free fishing pier, but u do need a salt water fishing license.
Love this place. Just brought myself a bike and I just finished riding it over here. Great place to ride my bike and walk. No complaints from me
Very nice boardwalk and other outside sites. Even has brewery nearby with plenty of outside open area.
It is so beautiful and peaceful there when I go for my walks.
Its a cool place rich with history, a beach and lots of cool viewing areas.
Significant history happened here. There is plenty to see. Well worth the visit.
Been visiting the fort since I was barely able to walk. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there used to be at lot more access to the site's attractions which have become nearly inaccessible these days due to natural erosion
Love the open space, the beach, firehouse coffee and oozlefinch!
Great place to visit and drive around. So much history. Piers to walk out on, or fish from...a Great boardwalk along the ocean. Just very nice place.
Wonderful piece of history. Fort was an active Army base until recently. Now open to the public with stunning views of the bay and bathing beaches and walking trails near by.
Great place for fun with the whole family! We saw whales and dolphins and big ships... dogs can not go on beaches between memorial day and labor day and the sea wall is some times much too hot for paws. Watch for the thorns in grass (kids and dogs).
Nice walking area, watch the ships sail by. There's 2 fishing piers and a long stretch of beach to enjoy
Listen it was nice afternoon down by the water mr good friend went. We me tp
Great place to walk and enjoy the history of an old Army fort.
Wonderful site! As a retired military family mom, I couldn t help but think what a wonderful duty station this must have been for families! What a fun place for kids to have lived. Enjoyed seeing Robert E. Lee s former quarters and the views from the ramparts.
Great place to spend the afternoon. Admission is free, there is a box for donations. I love learning about our local history and this is an amazing place to do that.
We had great time here well worth the admission. Lots of entertainment or just relax.
A great historical place. A must go and see but go when it is quiet and peaceful without the tourists. Mid week is best.
Free parking is plentiful, public beach, and lots of wide open spaces and places to explore.
Very nice place if you like historic places, nice views and beach.
Loved it. Great place to relax and collect your thoughts
A very pretty and serene place to visit. I recommend it. Good place to go on a long walk. You can see the moat from a viewing platform, go inside the fort, theres parks. Seating spaces. Parking is free here as well.
Fascinating historic place. Lincoln spent time here as did many other VIP's. If you're lucky, you can witnessed some of Americas mighty war ships arrive and depart from here. We saw the newest American aircraft carrier, the Ford return home. In addition there was an air show taking place and we watched the new F-22 Raptor fly along side WWII P-51 Mustang's. Park staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and eager to share info. A truely great day.
