Not too bad a place to stay over night. Within walking /short drive distance to various restaurants and shopping. Its a busy town tho but any half way decent driver should be able to handle it. The Lodge is kinda hard to find seeing how its not visible the main road but once you find it its not so bad. The room is OK. They didn't offer any kind of breakfast but the room I was in did have a kitchenette tho. And they have a pool. Would I stay again ? Yeah. But keep in mind just like there sign said. On bells no whistles. Nothing super fancy. And friendly service. :)

This was the only hotel available when we came to town. We were very pleased. It was clean, the staff was nice, close enough to walk to restaurants. Definitely will be going here anytime we go to Foley or surrounding areas!

The room was spacious & clean. Unfortunately, through some mishap, we were placed in a "smoking" lodge. The scent was overwhelming & not extremely beneficial to my asthma, but we were stuck with it due to them being entirely booked. There was also a lack coffee for the provided coffee maker & no utensils or cups in the provided kitchenette. Other than that, all was good.

I work for an outside company that delivers tourist magazines and this is one of my stops. I've never stayed as a guest, but I do visit here regularly. The lobby is always clean as is the parking lot. I do not know the rates, but I imagine they are pretty good. The hotel is not directly on Hwy 59, but you can see it from Hwy 59. It is close to an outlet mall, tons of fast food restaurants and fine dining, close to the beach, close to a hospital, and will be close to the amusement park that will be opening up next year. The lobby staff are always very nice and polite. I would most likely give this place a go if I needed a place to stay.

My friend and I stayed the weekend there a year ago this month and attended a concert at the Amphitheater. We traveled 7 hours to get there so it was around 11pm when we finally got there and the security guard who greeted us was very nice and made sure we got to our room safely and even helped with our luggage. We loved that we had a kichenette and everything was clean. I've stayed at the Lodge several times over the last few years and never had a problem with anything. The only negative thing we experienced was that the pool was closed for maintainance, but that's not something we could help. So we did like everyone else and stayed on the beautiful Gulf Shores beach. It was overall a great place to stay and all the people we had to interact with were very nice and helpful.

In a bind it works. Just haven't had the best experiences here personally. Not saying every person will have the same and it's not fair for my happenstances to be the same all around. Management at the time was hard to deal with. Had to change rooms multiple times due to various issues, each one different.

If you are going to the Foley, Gulf Shores area. You will not find a nicer place to stay than here. The rooms, the housekeepers, the beautiful pool, check in, this place is first class hospitality. Arrived early, Ms Bonnie text me when our room was ready, no wondering. Accommodations were excellent, no maintenance issues during our stay but help was there if needed. So glad we stayed there, and will definitely go back.

The rooms are half ass cleaned, good luck on getting your deposit back regardless of the immaculate condition you leave the room in. From my personal experience, I had reserved a room for 2 weeks. I went in a day early to pay for the 2nd week, only to be told by the GM, " no you don't have a reservation, you have to be out tomorrow morning at 11 am." I, of course, argues the fact the front desk clerk printed out this reservation, I showed the GM, and the best she could do was apologize, tell me that the clerk was no longer working there as of the day before, and the room was already reserved by other people. The unexperienced desk clerk charged my debit card a $100 damage deposit which is only supposed to be charged if the guest is paying in cash. The GM refused to refund it before going to inspect the room for damages. Giving this place a 1 star irks my nerves, I do not recommend this place EVER.

We was supposed to check in @ 6pm once we got here after driving 5 hours b4 we checked in I asked to see the room walked into the room & someone was already staying there The Lady at the front was very nice she offered us another room I had to take it because everything was booked up once we got into the second room it was ok but trash was under the beds the walls were dirty hair was on the pillows if the housekeeping staff would do there job it would be a pretty good place to stay!! I would stay here again only after I watch the housekeepers clean it!! Other then that it s ok for the price &&& yes the Front desk did give me a good discount for the two nights ... no star rating because the room wasn t clean!! The Security guard was nice

Nasty, smoke-smelling room. Specifically requested non-smoking. The $100 deposit was also a surprise. Never stayed anywhere that did this. Certainly makes me wonder what kind of people like to stay here!

My employer booked me here.

My employer booked me here.
They won't be booking my rooms much longer.

So I'm tired I brought in all my work stuff everything plugged in charging should've remembered the reviews and checked the room out.

Something tells me a different room won't be much better.

An overall lack of upkeep. The place is very dilapidated. For the rates they charge locally you would think they would invest some of the money back into the property.

They probably don't need fitted sheets because the mattresses are so old the dead skin holds them on!

I called to reserve a 7 night stay as she s getting my info. She then asked am i bringing a pet. I said yes. Since i knew they are a pet friendly hotel she said what kind and i told her what she was and she was 7 weeks old. She then tells me they don t allow those breeds. How can you be a pet friendly hotel but only allow certain breeds? She s not even a bad breed. Guess my business will go elsewhere and so will all my family s that stay at this hotel when they travel.

The rooms need updating .....really...instead of the Cameras everywhere (I mean many) how about shampoo? or how bout coffee or a hair dryer ?? or ice machine

The two women at counter was nice. It's a somewhere quick place to stay for an event seeing. There is nothing special about location. The rooms and bathrooms need updated. The water is hot. The carpet was dirty and need to be replaced. The outside pole lights needs to be replaced, dark. The stairwells needs to be cleaned. I guess around 10 miles to beach. Not a good place for a lovely getaway relaxing. Enough to past expections.

My father was employed for cornerstone lodge for 4...

My father was employed for cornerstone lodge for 4 years! In that time frame he was incredibly over qualified to fit the job description and did things above and beyond what had been done prior to the upkeep and maintenance of the property. Throughout that time my father remodeled room by room, re-wired every light post in the parking lot, obtained a certification to handle the chemicals required to maintain the pool to ensure his safety, but the safety of others aswell as countless other jobs through out his time there. While there my dad endured harassment from upper management that made him not only fear for his job at the drop of a whim, but also a turn over rate of staff as a result of harassment and poor management which made it difficult for him to have the amount of staff needed to assist at each job as well as maintain clean up-to-date rooms. Through out my fathers time working there he not only worked full time, but after hours, which required him and BLESSED him to live on the grounds while my mother who has had cancer for 10 years cared for my 4 year old child during the day while I worked full time and attended school. During the covid pandemic my fathers hours were drastically cut due to lack of travel. He then feared for his job but continued to preform to the best of his ability. The day that the governor of the state of Alabama placed restaurants and businesses under direct lock down and closure, my father was terminated from his full time maintenance position and told he had 12 days to find another place to live. My father was not only now jobless, but homeless in the middle of a national pandemic. Many Americans filed un employment and received it with no problem, when my father filed, the owner of cornerstone not only appealed it with no regard that he was homeless, jobless, and out of financial stability, but also the sole provider for his wife. It has been over 3 months and my father has not received a dime from the state or federal unemployment due to the selfishness and absolute blatant lie of his termination which has placed a financial strain on my family. Over the course of my fathers time there he worked day in and day out to update the property that was by all health standards unfit for any human to live in, yet he continued to endure harassment and unfit work conditions. I am absolutely disgusted with the management and the ownership and would not give a single dime to this place knowing how many families lives they have destroyed by hiring them and requiring them to work on premises only to be kicked out at their discretion with no warning. I have photos of proof of unfit living conditions, and mold and I want everyone to see the type of people who run this place. They do not care about their guests, or their employees as long as they get what they want out of them.

Our stay was originally going to be for only 6 nights. When we arrived for check-in, we explained to the receptionist that we were considering extending our visit to a month or possibly a little more. She explained to us that they offer extended-stay rates for weekly and monthly rentals. She saved us a ton of money! Everyone here is so warm and friendly. The staff I've met so far have all been so respectful and considerate. The grounds really surprised me. The lawn is very well maintained. There is no garbage laying around either in the parking lots, or on the grass or walkways. The outside of the buildings look more like countryside cottages than a hotel. The rooms are exceptionally clean and fairly spacious. The kitchenette is tiny, but completely functional, with a couple cabinets for storage, a mini-fridge, two-burner electric stove top, 4 cup coffee pot, and a kitchen sink. But remember to bring your own dishes, cups, silverware, and cookware. The bathroom is very roomy, with some shelves for storage. There's no tub, but the shower is considerably large. Our king sized bed has a hard mattress, but it's Exactly how we prefer. I have not one bad thing to say about my stay so far. I will definitely stay again in the future.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The kitchenette has nice updated appliances. The microwave & fridge definitely came in handy. I loved the fact that the room came with a stove top for actual cooking for extended stays. I was also surprised by all the cabinet and closet space. The room also had a table and chair set that made saving money on eating out convenient. This is a peaceful, quiet place to stay with a nice and helpful staff. From the relaxing pool to the beach I actually came home feeling rejuvenated from my vacation instead of exhausted. As an added bonus, cornerstone lodge is in the center of so many fun activities. I would highly recommend this place for families and singles alike looking for fun with no shortage of things to do.
