This bookstore has everything! I got my MacArthur Study Bible here (they had four different translations in stock) and then could have spent another eighteen hours looking at the rest of the books. Unfortunately, they closed at 5 and I am a little too tall to hide behind the couches (they saw the top of my head and made me leave). But I will definitely be going back. Wonderful, friendly, helpful people.

A fun, safe place for parents to bring young children. The downstairs area is dedicated to letting kids enjoy exploration and adventure for FREE. The volunteers have always been pleasant and there are events hosted throughout the year which add interactive fun across the facility. The bookstore has a wide variety of items from clothing to signs and home decorations (and lots of books obviously )

For Free, family friendly experience, this is fun!...

For Free, family friendly experience, this is fun! We love Adventures in Odyssey so the downstairs kids play area was super fun for my kids age 3 to 10. The 2 story tall slide was a big hit. Took 2 to 3 hours before kids were tired. Whit's End cafe was nice with ice cream treats and bottled beverages. They had a cave room with VeggieTales movies playing.
The upstairs visitors center has plenty of pictorial history on the Focus on the Family organization. Every staff was super sweet and well informed.

When I visited, I felt like I was reliving my childhood of growing up listening to Saturday morning radio shows. It was a blast! I think my hubby and I enjoyed it as much as the children there did! :) Lots to see for all ages.

What a nice little surprise! The staff was super friendly and the play area for the kids was a major hit! They really loved the three-story slide and even talked Daddy into going down once as well. Hahaha! Prices for snacks are very reasonable and the bookstore has an awesome selection!

After listening to Adventures in Odyssey for years with our kids, it was such a treat to visit Focus on the Family. We were immediately greeted at the front door by a friendly woman who explained where everything was and what to do while there-from the history to the purpose film to the basement where you can visit Odyssey. The 2 younger kids loved the 3 story slide and we all enjoyed having ice cream at Whit's End. The best part was the scavenger hunt which occupied all of us-even the older 2 children- for the better part of an hour! All for free; It is definitely worth a visit!

Excellent place for families to play, eat and shop.
The bookstore is full of Christian resources and gifts for every occasion.
Whit's End is a delightful place to take the kiddos for some ice cream or lunch.
The play area includes a 3 story slide for the big kids, a baby safe play area, and rooms filled with fun for every age.
If you call in advance you can schedule a time to record a segment of Adventures in Oddyssey with your kiddos.
You can also reserve small birthday party rooms for 15 people or less for intimate parties.
They are air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter, so any season is great to bring the kids on down. Fair warning though, it can get touristy mid summer.

Love this place! We like going down to Whit's end. They have a small area for 0-4 but be warned some older kids do tend to try and play in there with there small siblings. My daughter got knocked in the head pretty good in the head by an 8 year and she was only 6 months at the time. Was not very happy. The older kids have so many things tea huge slide, airplane to explore, small play area, a movie area, and even a cute area with puppets and dress up like the gang in Adventures in Odyssey!

Wow! First class operation here. Free Admission! The staff was some of the nicest folks. They had very sweet spirits and seemed to realize that it was not a job but a ministry. One guy named Johnathan (He was a missionary to India) really stood out. Whits End was so well taken care of and clean. I was born in 1982 and boy did it bring me back to my childhood. My son who is now 4 enjoyed this place beyond words. We also had the opportunity to record our very own Adventures in Odyssey! Wow it was just awesome. I had the Wod Fam Choc Sok! It was very good and very reasonably priced as was everything at the counter/snack bar at Whitts End.
If I am ever back in Colorado I definitely want to go back! (Sorry I did not get any pics)

Neat little FREE place for kids probably under 6. Seems like a nice ice cream parlor (however hours not exactly convienent & also has a nifty slide that even some adults can enjoy. The only problem I see is a lot of the kiddos rome free... great & all but since kids aren't exactly being watched kids could probably get away w/ bullying but worst of all since play area is in the basement kids could spread germs like wildfire. That's just my take & experence there.

Whit's End is a great place for kids, and great for memory-making. Walking through it today, I can remember riding the 2-story slide as a kid 10+ years ago! If your kids are Adventures in Odyssey fans, this is the place to go!

Really enjoy every visit to Focus on the Family. Many wonderful books, resources, and gifts in the bookstore. I gave four stars only because I think the music played is obnoxious. With all the choices in Christian music, something more pleasant would be a better backdrop to such a great place.

So we're local to the Colorado Springs area, and focus on the Family's visitor center is something the kids like to do every month or two. It is by far the most frequented "tourist" place that we go to around here.

Terrific place to bring your kids. There's scavenger hunts, a soda/Ice cream bar, a huge slide. The kids can even record an episode of Adventures in Odyssey! Can't stress how much fun we had there.

We mostly come for the free indoor playground. Kids love it on a rainy or cold day. But I have purchased items from the book store. Great array of Christian gifts. Love to after Christmas sale. Anything from books to knick knacks. Not all is Christian themed so others might find something they like too.
