Eureka 89 Events and Dining Review

The service was great, but sadly cannot make up for the mediocre food. Not only was the food bland, but the menu itself was unimaginative - a carrot dish made entirely of shaved carrots soaked in what I would describe as body fluids, is certainly not stretching anyone's culinary ability. Maybe this was a one time occurrence, but I'd recommend thinking twice before booking: the view alone was not enough to make up for the dull and unsatisfying meal.

Lovely experience. Much quieter than the level below with the bonus of delicious food and great service. Well worth doing.

Incredible night spent here. Dinner was varied and all delicious, view and atmosphere was spectacular. Obviously pricey but I feel you get your money's worth.

The 7 course menu leaves your tummy full and wallet empty but worth it

Visited Eureka 89 again yesterday & they now have a new lovely winter menu. Only dissappointment was wasnt advised that there was also a 7 course menu as current menu was not attached to email confirmation. Nevertheless a wonderful afternoon spent dining in a wonderful atmosphere on a bitterly cold Melbourne day. Wouldn't have it any other way. Recommend you choose the matching wine option if you enjoy wine and like to sample some new wine options that also compliments the menu.

Lovely afternoon spent in the clouds. Even for the faint hearted or those not fond of heights this venue will help you overcome your fear. Whether it's for a special occasion or just a way to spend a pleasant lunch/afternoon what better way than to dine on a degustation menu with matched wines. A spectacular view (even from the restrooms) this venue never disappoints with a seasonal menu, a talented chef who brings such menu's altogether. If you haven't dined here once you haven't lived. Close your eyes & enjoy the ride!

We dine out regularly but rarely post a review, i was compelled to post a review because the food quality service value and experience was exemplary last Wednesday night. We especially wanted to mention to management that our waiter was wonderful (forgot his name sorry) and helped make this special occasion a relaxed and memorable one.

Not professional at all. Always in rush. Alot of mistakes happened!! We paid before and at the end when we were about to go, they asked again for money!! When we said we had paid before, it took us 15min to prove them they had to make many phone calls to track it back!!!!

Waiting btw the courses was too much! Not easy for them to manage at the puck up hours.

Nothing to compare with Sofitel, Vue De Monde and classy grade 1 restaurants.
Spend the same money with the professional staff and much better food and service. Good luck

Well if your going to have a business function, might as well have the best view's.

Awesome. Views are great. Not too busy. The edge isnt that exciting. Family all preferred the VR plank walk more.

Really friendly staff but Some of the food was ordinary and very tiny according to the price that I paid $300 I think is over price and very expensive. It took so long to serve all the food and huge gaps between the coursed which was quite boring and made me exhausted as a pregnant woman.

Words cannot describe just how amazing this place is. Food was great, staff was very much on the ball. I would rate this place 11 out of 10

Imperfections and aged decore are hidden by dim lighting. Staff are friendly but lacking in attentiveness.
Quite a basic and lack luster experience. Not to mention the untimed wines with our 5 meal degustation.

We ended up hosting our wedding at Eureka 89 after an issue with another venue and what a blessing that was! With only 8 weeks notice Jaymee put on the most amazing day for us. Every single detail was taken care of and Jaymee was EXCEPTIONAL. On the day the staff were amazing and catered to all our needs. 5 starts for absolutely everything!

Worth treating ourselves to the views and experience with our visitors. The good was really good and staff very friendly, overall an experience to be remembered.

Beautiful dinner for my husband and my anniversary! Service was impeccable and the new summer menu was refreshing! We hope to return!!

Recently held our staff end of year function at Eureka 89. From the moment we enquired with the lovely Vicki through to the night itself, we were looked after every step of the way. The staff on the night, Shane and his wonderful crew, made every effort to make us feel welcome, and ensured we have a fantastic night. The menu was delightful, full of great tasting surprises and we were not disappointed. The most important part of the night was that after such an horrific year, the venue, the food, the staff shone like a star in an otherwise gloomy 12 months.

From the booking staff through to the wait staff the service was second to no other it was sublime.

You cannot call it food it was an experience. Placing the food in your mouth closing your eyes and allowing the individual flavours explode, and just all marry together. Then you open your eyes to the magical view.

For me as being a first time experience of having a fine dining experience for Christmas it has set the bar at a very high level. Bravo and Thank you!

The food was delicious, the view was great and the hospitality was excellent! I have always downplayed set course meals and always felt that I need to do a Macca's run after. Not here. Did the 7 course, price isn't too crazy and the food was epic. (I didn't go to Macca's after it). Great work team! Will be back

We received a 7 course degustation menu voucher as a gift, and it was the most memorable experience to date when it comes to fine dining. The food was everything you can expect and more! All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely out of this world. The staff were friendly and atmosphere very relaxing with exceptional views. I can t recommend this experience highly enough, but your really need to make sure you book in advance as it can be very hard to get a booking on your desired date. Also- with our voucher we had parking and observation deck experience included which was never clearly communicated at the time.

This place has amazing views. I came here for an event. The staff were lovely. The ambiance was just wonderful. I must say the food was well presented but it tasted average.

It's a thrilling nice experience to watch the city from such huge hight. Viewing gallery is nice by placing complete glass window. Location indicator is a good idea for surrounding information.

Dining experience is satisfying overall. The view was nice and was definitely worth going. However, service is very disappointing as the waiters were not professional. The food is alright but the cheese and dessert were lack of taste.
