The ribs and amazing and we love eating outside on the picnic tables.
The ribs and amazing and we love eating outside on the picnic tables.
Hard to find better tasting BBQ in the Queen City. Their prices were marked up high though and small indoor dining, otherwise easy 4/5 stars.
Great food, great atmosphere. Love the rib tips and the smoked turkey.
The pulled pork sandwich was good. One of the better pork sandwiches in the Cincinnati area, but that really isn't saying much. The Mac and cheese was Terrible. Came straight from the cheapest box they could find. The baked beans were not any better. They did at least try to doctor them up with brown sugar and hot sauce after they poured them from the can. One bite of the coleslaw activated my gag reflex. Waited at least 30 minutes to get one of the worst meals I've had. How this place is rated so highly is perplexing.
The pulled pork and mac & cheese are fantastic, the atmosphere is always great, and you can easily get a great meal at a decent price.
Awesome barbeque but it's hit and miss some days its salty some days its dry.
Best bbq in town ! #jalapeno cheddar grits# beans got crack in them:)
Food is delicious. Friendly atmosphere. Every time I come to Cincinnati, I will be eating here
Absolutely delicious food with beautiful outdoor seating. A must-visit.
Food was great. We sat outside and everyone was really friendly. Did not take long at all to get our food. Highly recommend this place to anyone that liked BBQ.
Nothing is better than Eli's crispy smoked pulled pork - I have been going for years and cant venture m it to even try other menu items! That being said, my wife swears the smoked dogs are delicious too - and you HAVE to get any sides "dirty" with crispy pork crumblin's
Best food ive had in a while. Pick a beautiful day, bring your favorite beer and sit outside. Best end to a great weekend
Good food, outdoor seating, bring your own beverages.
Tasty food and quick service. I had the pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese and baked beans. All were fresh and hot. Mac & cheese was particularly cheesy.
A must visit if your in Cincinnati, this is real bbq
The barbecue was delicious. I will tell my friends about it. It was very tasty. I will be back.
This place is a amazing, by far best BBQ above the Mason Dixon line
Most overrated restaurant in town. No credit cards, no refills, nearly no indoor seating, 90 minute wait for your food, and it's mostly filled with alcoholics since they allow BYOB. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. It doesn't live up to the hype!
Good food, little expensive would recommend they add fries & bread to their menu. We where on a mini vacation & I would definitely visit again
Slowest service took over two hours for my damn food. Would never go back
Amazing BBQ! Fun little hole in the wall style. A real gem
Great pulled pork and mashed potatoes! Love that they have vintage records to play and beautiful outdoor view!
Best BBQ in the city!! The ribs are pricey, but totally worth it.
No matter the time of year, Eli s always delivers. Simple BBQ menu done to perfection. In the summer enjoy the outdoor picnic tables, come winter enjoy the timey inside with music from a record player, or head out to the covered picnic tables for larger groups
Cash only, byob. No chicken options. Pulled pork is too salty. Sides are just OK. Seating is an absolute nightmare. And i waited an hour for a pulled pork sandwich and two sides. Not worth it to me to go back
High quality pulled pork barbeque and ribs. Fast service and great outdoor patio. Delicious.
Everything on this menu is awesome! I favor all the "dirty" sides and it's a tie between the pulled pork and smoked turkey for me but what really excites me is how this business is integrated into the community around it. Always live events here, family's are here all the time and this place just simply has that comfy at home feel to it. Parking is awkward honestly but even if you have to park a block away, totally worth it!
I met Tyler T on World of Warcraft. After chatting for a bit about Cincinnati I mentioned how much I loved Eli's BBQ when I lived there. This guy was cool enough to ship me out some Eli's BBQ sauce and rub. Such an awesome gift and taste of home is really appreciated. Tyler's care for the product and drive to satisfy an old customer was amazing. Thanks Tyler!
Great restaurant they use wood to smoke their meat and the portion sizes are pretty big. A wonderful place to go during the summertime, as they have a big outdoor covered patio with a good amount of seating.
Pretty damn good barbecue as always, not even that bad of a weight lately, nothing is ever quick here, but good barbecue should be
Go on a weekday because weekends will take FOREVER. But at least there are social picnic tables to sit at. Great seasoning and sauces on the BBQ bur WOW the mac and cheese was like snacking on a butter stick.
Simply put, the best BBQ. Simple menu, I have had every item at least once and enjoy it all.
Great place...just passing thru and a friend told me to try it out. This place is legit! Sooooo Tasty!!!!!!
We are only in town once, maybe twice, a year and we go every time. Always good. Always filling. Sauce is great!
Great affordable BBQ, the smoked wings hit the spot!
Called in order from Central Cincinnati. The wait was really long and the tips of the ribs were stiff and overcooked.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful food for the wedding was great
I am a fan of their ribs... plenty of seating at the backyard. Overall a nice place to hangout in the sun.
Outstanding bbq on a huge covered patio and your own cooler of your favorite beverage(s) - What more could you ask for!?
Pretty good food. Only one sauce selection, for being on the price side I expected more.
Great food. Long wait with covid19 slowing things down
A little different, but it was really tasty. I will be going again next time I'm out that way.
Even though it takes forever to get your food, it is so worth it. Best BBQ in Cincinnati.
The pork pulled burger was awesome !! Would go there again to get the burger.
Didn't like the Mac and cheese sorry.
Very good BBQ. They were sold out on the ribs but the pulled pork and hot dog's were good. Well be back.
I have been here for dinner a number of times and it was always fantastic. I ordered catering carry out for the first time and the food was just as good. Pulled pork and smoked turkey were moist with a perfect smoky flavor. The best bbq in Cincy and some of the best I've ever had.
Love Eli's! Great food in a great old part of town. Love the gardens out back!
They are doing remoldeling... lot of people comes here to have a taste of the best BBQ in town. i love the pulled pork.
Pulled pork sandwich, ribs, and hotdogs are great. No longer allows outside alcohol which is a shame. Great food. Cash or check only.
Service was excellent food was amazing. I hated to leave. Also they played the Isley brothers on vinyl!
One of my favorite places in Cincinnati! I suggest the Pulled Pork sandwich and a side of Jalapeno Cheddar Grits. The place is BYOB, so don't forget to pick up a six-pack on your way.
Our cincy family took us kids from Los Angeles and New Jersey here and we all agreed that this was the best BBQ we've ever had. For me it was also the price.....I can't believe how cheap it was for this delicious feast! We got one of More
Elis tasted great and the food came out really quick.
My favorite BBQ in Ohio, maybe the country. Delicious food, quaint outdoor picnic table seating, safely spaced apart.
The reviews are spot on! First trip to Cincinnati and wanted to try a good rib joint. The ribs were so good and tender with a crispy crust of flavor...I m drooling just thinking about it and wish I could get back there more now. They should come up with some good shirts and other trinkets for out-of-towners to remember it by!
I've had lots of pulled pork all over the country, and I can say without hyperbole that Eli's pulled pork is a million times better than all the rest combined.
Can bring your own drinks. Nice for a picnic Barbecue ok..wasnt crazy about slaw.
Great bbq in Cincinnati. Pretty reasonable prices for bbq. Outdoor patio feels homelike but also includes the homelike findings of leftover bbq spots on the tables. Wait time can vary greatly, but is worth it.
Good BBQ.
Great bang for your buck.
You get massive amounts of chopped pork on the sammie, for example, but the pork is lacking an awesome bark, allowing the tomato-based BBQ sauce to overtake the sandwich. The sauce needs a bit more acidity and depth to be well balanced...just a bit too much tomato. Cole slaw is average, bun is average, mac & cheese is bland (lacks seasoning). These are simply my opinions.
I must try the ribs and brisket to form a complete opinion.
Very good pulled pork. Most of the seating is outdoor under a canopy.
I like the smoked turkey sandwich, the jalapeno cheddar grits, and the jalapeno cornbread.
Food is always amazing. Wait times can get long during really busy times, like lunch and dinner, but the orders are always right. Real nice atmosphere, even when having to sit outside
Hard to beat, consistently top notch bbq. The ribs are killer and the cornbread is perfectly spicy. You can't go wrong with anything here!
This BBQ joint is hands down my favorite place to eat when in Cinci. Its menu is small but mighty, and all the food it top notch. Old full-of-character building is my favorite to eat in with the record player and art on the walls. Pulled pork sandwich with the jalapeno grits (my favorite!) and jalapeno cornbread is my go-to. The sauce is easy to slather on anything (and worth it if you do!) but the meat stands on its own. The ribs are a close second to the pulled pork. Very well seasoned, but fall off the bone a little too much for my taste. Still, I get them almost every time they taste so good. Somehow the food isn't too heavy, even for being BBQ. Everything is well made and not greasy or saucy for indulgance sake. Can't go wrong with this Cinci favorite.
